I knew a woman who kept bees on a huge prairie at the edge of the Coeur d' Alene National Forest, and she never used any bee-keeping equipment when harvesting honey. She always wore the same cotton shirt and she always claimed the bees knew who she was.
I've been stung 5 times in the last 2 weeks because my neighbours have honeybees. They have just agreed to get rid of them after other neighbours complained. I didn't threaten anyone.
This is true for some bees, but definitely not ALL.
I used to work in Pest Control. When possible, we would call vee keepers and have them relocate the hive.
But every now and then, a bee keeper would call us. And in Pest Control, when a bee keeper calls you, that's a pretty clear sign of what you're about ready to step into.
Some hives can get BIG. And a mean hive that's also big is BAD news. That shit could genuinely get scary at times.

The bees just want some cross species love. Stick your dick in the hive. You will not regret sticking your dick in the hive.

Bees are fine. You leave them alone and they leave you alone.

Don't threaten them or the hive, they will leave you alone.
Also, don't wear dark clothing around them... you look like a predator.... move slowly thru their space and they will ignore you.
My guess is the hive is right outside that door and they are perceiving any movement as a threat to the hive.
