If I saw this apparatus without context, scoliosis would definitely not be my first thought.

I posted something like that once, I got a warning for this gif to be in violation of imgur community rules.

He is also the first to bring circumcision to the US (in 1870). He believed that "a tight foreskin inflamed the nerves and caused systemic problems." Also, the reason the woman is naked is because the next step in the process was wrapping her in plaster of Paris.

"My spine is back here." Patient, probably.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

It doesnt look like his gaze is fixated on the back, though.

2 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

There is curvature involved at least

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You know someone said the first like 30 seconds of someone being put to the rack during a medieval torture session probably felt amazing for the spine.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

He's not even pretending to look at her back.

2 years ago | Likes 983 Dislikes 5

Saves him from pretending other things.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

... and that treatment will do exactly squadoosh

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Yeah atleast Larry pretended to do exams!

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"and now dear, as I jiggle, as I jiggle the apparatus up and down, do these vibrations affect you in any way? As I jiggle the apparatus? Does the jiggling have any affect on your scoloosy? What's that? Yes forgive me, Scoliosis, of course.

Dude is recovering after a fight he's done nothing but primal urges right now

2 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

FOOOOOOD

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Dude just wanted to stare at boobs all day.

2 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 3

If the ladies objected, they probably were hysterical. They then were prescribed cocaine and and a vibrator

2 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 0

Damn women getting the good stuff, why can’t I be declared hysterical and be prescribed cocaine and a fleshlight?

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

To be fair, cocaine and a vibrator could make my day measurably better.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

No one is stopping you. Except Johnny Law, so be careful.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Boob jokes aside, she does have a lovely back.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

"Yep. That's some curves."

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

i wonder, did this work? Like really work to alleviat e the pain and at least parts of the disabillity?
Today, in a decent country, you'll get physical therapy and surgery to repair /fix what's possible.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That doesn't appear to be the only curves he's checking on

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Right.....checking the spine lol

2 years ago | Likes 1344 Dislikes 12

Why the f**K isn't it a GIF (with the 'UNMUTE' 1st post) ?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 12

2 years ago | Likes 121 Dislikes 2

Can it cure Hysteria?

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

He is a man of observationnnnnhhmmmm. If the woman has larger -er busom then the curvature will be that much greater meeeehhh. Further research will be required maaaahhh.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

From the front!

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean, you probably could tell side to side curvature based on the unevenness of the breasts.

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

DOCTOR, only through a vigorous palpation of the breasts could you come to this certainty.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Yes checking it from the right side!

2 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 1

left

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

He's on the left

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Not if you look at it from the right perspective!

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

If only I had known this as a teenager. "Your spine seems crooked. Please take your shirt off. Then we'll hang you from the ceiling so I can have a good look."

2 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 3

Wait..in what role are we imagining our teenage selves here? I think the patients would doubt my academic merits if 18 year old me asked that.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Trust me, I'm going to med school.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No dear, there’s nothing untoward happening here, I’m just checking the curvature of her spine, yes that’s it

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

"Ok milady, your case seems severe you'll have to come back next week".

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Better than his treatment of nothing with generations of mutilation of newborns with circumcision.

My girlfriend would like to know where one can get this apparatus.

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Search Tripod Game Hoist and just find one that meets you height and weight needs for the support.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Looks like just about any hardware store and a high school metal shop competency.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I heard a dominatrix explain that most of the tools of her trade were available off the shelf at Home Depot. The tripod is probably 3 pieces of 20' half inch pipe and some fittings.

Anyone else get screened for scoliosis in gym class, in about 7th or 8th grade? Was that weird, or is it just me?

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yup, 7th, 8th, and 9th as I recall.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We did, so it wasn't just you this time. That thing with the two bowls, the sour cream, and Principal Monroe's wooden foot, though... That one was just you.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Wasn't just you, though my "7th or 8th grade" was probably in a different time from yours.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Late '70s for me. I've talked to others in my age cohort over the years and just about nobody else has ever heard of this.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We're both GenX, so close enough.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

St andrews cross works much better.

2 years ago | Likes 258 Dislikes 4

Depends how much you enjoy watching them fidget, or playing on both sides

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Cross? I'd expect he was livid.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Both of those are good things.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The upside down one iirc

2 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 3

No, that is a Saint Peter’s cross. The Saint Andrew’s is an X shape.

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Blood Eagle!

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

Fuck me sideways aren't you kinky

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well you asked for some sideways play so I think the kettle should stop harassing the pot, you were not given permission to sass.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I rather that the people i encounter survive.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Wait, for real? 'Cause I was looking at this thing for naughty purposes, and my wife was like, "That might actually help my back, with the neck tension thing..." Two birds, one stone and all...

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Trust me, the tripod used above will not be any fun for play time. Use a proper cross unless you are looking to overextend your partners joints. For that use a properly secured ceiling hook.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Idk if it's weight rated it wouldn't be awful as a suspension hard point, I prefer a bit of a bigger area to swing in but it could work

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yea exactly. They tripod is a small area, floors often cant take that much point pressure at the feet, it would need secured to the floor, etc. Accident waiting to happen.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've got a mobile tripod I use for shibari, it works just fine without being secured down long as it's not being used in a super dynamic scene! It's just got a wider top that makes the legs further apart so there's a larger working area (also it's probably sturdier since the thing is purpose-made for that)

Man I miss being that limber

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That kid get gets around.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I feel like some version of this might actually feel amazing.

2 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

There's a product called the archlifter. My personal anecdote is that it's amazing, but I don't own, pretty pricey.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There’s always that one point in this video, that I have to stop watching.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Dang. That actually looks like it would feel nice

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That looks like it would feel good for my spine 😅

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Who is this?

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

David Byrne, the lead singer of Talking Heads. That specifically is from Stop Making Sense and live show they filmed and put in theaters. It just had a re-release.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That looks unsafe for his neck O.o

2 years ago | Likes 84 Dislikes 0

Think about his skul

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Little crik and popping noise and you're looking at a brain... it'd be a weird day for spinny-hang day care.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not much body mass for kids in the age ranges where it’s a useful treatment.
Can’t be used on adults or kids over a certain size/weight.

2 years ago | Likes 63 Dislikes 0

But then there are things like the archlifter (product), but you wouldn't be spinning.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

does that kid have bolts going through his head?

2 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 0

Well sometimes they just won't sit still.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but they're metric bolts so it's okay.

2 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0
