Six Flags Qiddiya City. Rollercoaster opened December 31st, 2025

Looks terrifying.
Went to Disney World in the 80's, They told me Space Mountain was a gentle ride, as I don't do rollercoasters. Told me the signs were there ironically.
I was fucking terrified.

The crazy thing is that the park doesn't even open until 4pm because of how hot it is

Due to my gaming history - I am not allowed to run a theme park and I should absolutely not be allowed to built a rollercoaster, ever.

Mr. Bones, I presume.

"This ride looks too intense for me”

3 weeks ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

This ride is located in a place I refuse to ever visit.

But also maybe don't go shaming people for not being into things like that.

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It wasn't. That is a rollercoaster tycoon reference.

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Chris Sawyer and I laughed at your comment, but I admit I laughed more when you got scolded for it.

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

No thanks!

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It honestly looks kinda boring, at least the bit shown in this video

3 weeks ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

There's a lot more to it. It's 3 and a half minutes long and reaches a top speed of 155mph. It has two uphill launch sections, so there isn't a long chain lift section like a lot of coasters. But it doesn't have any inversions.

G-force?

Isn't this sand stone? With that vibrations? From the look at it I would say this is a disaster to be.

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

think what the sand will do to every moving part on that ride

The desperation of arabians, it is just sad. Just imagine how small their wieners must be for all these idiotic waste-of-money "records" they are chasing.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Little known fact. You can't hear the screams from the rollercoaster because they're all dead from the intense G Forces.

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This is realistic representation of my emotional life.

We have high speed trains that go 200 mph plus, why can't we have roller coasters that fast?

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Because roller coasters are space constrained, and you need too wide of turns at that speed to not injure guests and also for the track to fit in the park.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Almost looks like a coaster I would build in roller coaster tycoon, except it would be an open ramp at the end.

Saudi Arabia: come for the roller coaster, stay for the dismemberment.

Ah, yes, the heart-attack-inator

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

While not nothing, the height is not all that important. G-force is the one metric that matters with rollercoasters.

Saying its the tallest undersells just by how much of a margin they blew the record away. This will very likely never be topped. Depending on how you measure, its either 535 feet (single element height) or even 640 feet tall (total elevation change). The next tallest was 456 feet (gone now, current 2nd tallest is 420ft). I'm never going to Saudi Arabia, so I'm sad I'll never get to experience this.

3 weeks ago | Likes 103 Dislikes 1

Fucking hate heights, but I love Rollercoaster. If I'd die on that ride it would be worth it

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

When Magnum XL-200 broke the 200-foot barrier in 1989, critics claimed human bodies couldn't handle anything taller.

When Kingda Ka hit 456 feet in 2005, enthusiasts confidently stated it was the physical limit for a steel structure. It held that record for nearly 20 years until Falcon's Flight finally eclipsed it.

A mere 20 years to beat an impossible to best record. It will be beat again. Heck they will probably have one you ride down from space on in the future.

The first ever Dragonball theme park will open in Saudi Arabia. One of my childhoods favorites. Likewise, never going there, so I'm sad I'll never get to experience it.

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not to mention the only way this was achieved was through taking advantage of a geological feature which is a luxury most parks don't have. Topping this record with metal framing is prohibitive cost wise. No one is going to let you do this off their multi million dollar skyscraper

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The tallest Disney hotel is 257 feet tall. Goes to show that even Disney money can't make a building tall enough to beat this record because they'd still have to fill it.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not with that attitude.

3 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Nor with that altitude.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hey with some bad luck, you will be able to ride the tallest Rollercoaster in the US. From Mount Rushmore of Presidents #47 head down and then up to Washingtons. Entrance is on Lincolns Head.

3 weeks ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That.... that actually sounds awesome

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

honestly a genius compromise to keep national parks and monuments funded during the age of kleptocracy: lease them to theme park developers.

dont get me wrong i mean i'd personally think it was sacrilege, but i'm old and the world doesn't even seem like its for people like me. within a generation nobody would care that there was a waterslide going down El Capitan. they'd think it was rad.

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Same. Given how crazy Saudi Arabia is, I don’t wanna risk going there. The tallest one I’ve ever been on is only about 200 feet.

3 weeks ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 1

If you’re a dude with a beard then it’s not really all that dangerous, and there are certainly far more dangerous places I’d bet you’d be willing to risk.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm a dude with a beard and I won't go there. Even if we disregard concern for own safety, I also don't want to give any of my tourism money to that country.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's my home country, but I left it more than 40 years ago and haven't been back. The whole time I lived there, there was basically nothing fun. The government wouldn't even allow cinemas.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wonder if women are allowed to ride it.

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yeah I love a good ride, but I'll settle for the 300+ feet here at home. No need to go somewhere like that.

3 weeks ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Can do 400 feet in the US, although personally I'd love to do Steel Dragon in Japan

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They consider atheists, aka, non cultists, to be terrorists.

3 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

I think maybe you need to get out more and actually see the world.

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

No, that’s actually the law. You can be put to death for being an open atheist.

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I think you need to look into their laws. Been to Japan, Caribbean, UK, all over the pacific rim and much of north America. I don't need to goto a scum theocratic monarchy country to ride a coaster...

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm not saying you need to go ride that coaster, but for *most* people broad travel brings a less gullible, more broadminded outlook about "THEM." Most people reading about the US have similarly narrowminded view about Americans and what THEY think. The reality, I hope, is much more nuanced. FWIW, I've been to Saudi (though not to that amusement park) and at no point was I asked to declare belief in any god nor was I assumed to be a terrorist. Unless you can point to a specific law?

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That was me until earlier this month when I went to Cedar Point... I don't think my home park will ever hit the same again.

To think when I was a kid in SoCal, we all thought the Revolution was the cat’s ass, maaaan!

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

About 250 here and that coaster has overheating and greyout issues these days. They have workarounds but they don't make the riding experience a confident or pleasant one so it would be nice to find another cool coaster to ride.

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Which one is that?

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Titan IIRC. But its been over a decade since my last ride so.
