note: abused victims will often testify in defense of their abusers. Witnessed a neighbor throw his gf out the front door and down a flight of concrete steps, then threw one of those massive old-school TV's on top of her. There's more to that story with a little lesson about how to win street fights but tldr she refused to press charges but there were witnesses and evidence so she had no say in his fate. Court mandated counseling for her too. Watch for this, it's a trauma response.

only...the...best

He must not be wealthy or we wouldn't have heard about it

There are only two reasons for a look like that in a mug shot. The most likely is he is a sociopath.
Since a GOP candidate being completely innocent and knowing it is laughably stupid idea.

Only the best pieces of shit.

Kill him.

Anyone Trump calls "a great guy" should be under immediate suspicion. He doesn't like good people.

Yes, he is presumed innocent in each case, because that's how our legal system works.

Give a man .0001 of power and see what happens. He would probably build himself a rocket and move himself to Mars.

Well, republican is enough to know he’s a piece of shit but I have to say that last sentence in the article about being presumed innocent seems weird. They say it like it’s a bad thing. We don’t get to choose who gets due process and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

No, that sentiment is reserved for the Rep-Cons...

I don't read that like they're saying it's a bad thing; it's reasonably common to have that in articles, probably to make sure the newspaper doesn't get sued (e.g. "even though I was eventually acquitted, people who read your article assume I was found guilty")

Agree, I think it’s more of a disclaimer of, “hey let’s not actually burn the witch until we have the trial.”

It’s weird how they are so proud of all their red flags… maybe cause it matches their red hats

Everyone is presumed innocent.

Yep that's the thing. The bail bond is a kick in the balls but... the man is currently innocent. There is a court of public opinion but the guy is *currently* innocent https://media3.giphy.com/media/v1.Y2lkPWE1NzM3M2U1cjhiZGJ4d3J0cTIwNzg5djl4bzgyYnByeHV1YXJoc2VmejN6NWw4cSZlcD12MV9naWZzX3NlYXJjaCZjdD1n/40dEau6bZRO3S/200w.webp

But a judge can deny bond to someone who is deemed to pose a threat to the populace.

Not me, went to court for a traffic violation, the cop admitted he may have made a mistake after i showed the judge he couldn't have possibly seen the violation and the judge said there's a lot of distractions on the road, pay your fine, case closed. And no this wasn't a texting or using my phone violation. I walked in presumed guilty.

Second judge should have denied bail.

King Lord Daddy Trump will give him a pardon because the radical left woke mobs are out to get this poor persecuted man! After all if your president can do it, you should be able to as well. /S

the irony, given that anytime a person of color with any record is out on bail the right loves to freak out about how they are already a proven "violent thug" and letting them out is wrong. but they don't quibble for a second when that proven violent thug is their own. The tough of crime crowd seem to love seeing what they think are the Right criminals getting all kinds of leniency and tolerance. it's down right socialist of them the way they treat those J6 thugs communist even

Also if its poor person Bail is set to 500K if its a rich person the bail is 500. if the poor person is charged whit stealing a pack of gun 500K bail, if the rich person is charged whit theft worth 100K, killing, threatening to kill vitness... 500 bail.
