one of the lasts artists of that 2000s era I still respect. I keep checking in on bands like slipknot, korn, disturbed, wednesday, manson, zombie, etc like how the fuck you say the shit you said back then but now you haven't written a single lyric or spoken out even once about the shit that's been going down in your country over the past 10 years
SoaD and RAtM members are still about it. Try out Lamb of God (groove metal) Their singer has been speaking out against this fascist shitbaggery. The singer of Cattle Decapitation (prog/death/grind) also. *They're a bit more extreme than rock/nu metal.
Most of the thrash, black, and death metal bands have been pretty on top of their anti-fascist shit, unsurprisingly. SoaD not kowtowing should surprise absolutely no one, and same with RAtM. Those two have some of the most political music in the modern era, to the point that the post 9/11 Clear Air Referendum flat out banned the playing of any RAtM songs on the radio for a bit.
Yeaaaaah, I might have crashed out over that one. Was a disturbed fan for decades, and initially started listening to them when Believe came out because I thought it was the coolest fucking thing in the world to have a cross, Star of David, crescent moon, and pagan pentacle combined as the album art, and the idea behind it being unity and peace between religions. Guess THAT was a fucking bold faced lie.
The song Deify was specifically about Bush Jr, calling him a warmonger and saying bush shouldn't be deified (treated as a godlike figure) yet NOW they support Trump, a fuckwad of epic proportions that people LITERALLY worship and they don't even leave a Twitter comment. Double fucking standards from the Zionist Draiman, piece of shit.
Eminem has personal morals and says horrible shit to challenge people. Trump has horrible shit morals and says horrible shit because he's thinking outloud.
Turns out someone who writes and wraps that well is also pretty damn smart. He has similar strains of political and social involvement to Zappa, albeit modernized, and a bit less intellectually elitist in its presentation.

When and where was this? Hoping very recent. Americans need to wake up, and it'll take people like Eminem to reach a vast majority of them.

I am hoping it's in response to Trump saying he's like Eminem when working the crowds.

You can see the cloud hit them like a brick. Good. Breathe it in. Eat it up. Bask in the stench of what you supported.
