They wouldn't stick around with a drone nearby that's able to strike, and they'll give up trying to work on it after a few days.

It wasn't even with Putin, it was with Shoigu and Geriasimov or however you spell their names, not giving them enough ammo for the war and other shit decisions. He thought Putin was behind him...and then he found out Putin called him a traitor and probably had his and his officers' families at gunpoint and chickened out.
