Doing some research for myself, decided to share with Imgur.

FP EDIT: Woah, first time to FP and totally unexpected as political stuff usually gets down voted to hell. Glad my hunt for answers is something many people clearly want also! If you've got awesome info on any of these candidates, go ahead and send it my way. I'm trying to stay as open as possible until I can firmly decide who I can throw my support towards come November.

P.S. Sorry about spelling/grammatical errors. Proof reading was on short supply during the making of this.

Trying to be as impartial as possible, just looking at facts. All info is from either official candidate remarks or platforms on their websites or in articles, and some from sites sourcing data on all candidates.

Positions unclear, Trump caught in ceiling fan.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Several of these "unclear" ones have been clearly stated. On gay marriage for example, Trump said each state would decide for themselves.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 18

He also said that he is for traditional marriage CNN's State of the Union. He has also said in 2013 in an interview with MSNBC that 1/2

Deregulating all business would mean deregulating competition meaning lower prices, higher wages, better products, and more. 4/5

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 7

The government is funded by corporations...thus all the corruption.

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 13

If corps = all corruption how did all the Communist states with no private businesses have so much corruption compared to the West?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

You don't get it. We are supposed to be a democratic nation but we aren't anymore BECAUSE of corporate string pulling. It has nothing to 1

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

do with how other countries became communist. Those two situations don't equate, unless you mean that corporations are taking the place of 2

Perhaps other countries could start implementing labor laws and manufacturing restrictions so that they don't look so appealing anymore.

I work in manufacturing. Some of it is coming back here because the wages are getting too high elsewhere. Taxes are 90% of why companies

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But it's not just the taxes; they SHOULD be taxed for most of the shit they do, yes, but it's also the lack of labor laws in other places...

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mostly it's the taxes. The salaries here are competitive for the skill but they pay out the ass on taxes if they're small to midsize.

As a foreigner, the fact that your foreign policy, military projects and NATO are not popular issues is worrying.

A lot of people in the US are rather annoyed that our NATO allies are not keeping up their end of the 2% military spending goal.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Which is understandable. But spending is not the only issue, perhaps not even the greatest issue.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a pretty big issue when the responsibility falls on the American taxpayer

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's because the more Americans are kept in the dark about what the American government actually gets up to overseas, the better.

Thank you! I had been piecing together a comparison of their policies also. Popularity aside, these are what you should base your vote on.

10 years ago | Likes 375 Dislikes 13

In my opinion, you should always base your vote on trustworthiness first. Even if that means a trustworthy candidate you disagree with.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Gonna have to disagree, although only partially. This is where you should start your research into how much you believe each candidate.

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Well yes and no. A lot of stuff wasn't covered (foreign policy trade relations etc) and u have to weigh if they'll stick to their position

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Actually trump didn't show all of his tax returns. That's why no one knows how much money his company is worth. Trump might not be that rich

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

But it can also mean that just like Hillary he is cheating. And would not be better than her. So America what do you think?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

Only if I could take certain beliefs from each of them and create the perfect candidate!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Anyone can say they support anything, though. It's about a lot more than what someone says they support...

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Theres numerous other issues not mentioned here, e.g. willingness to actually use nuclear weapons

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I am surprised. As much as I disagree with some of Trump's ridiculous speeches/rants...I mostly align with his policies.

10 years ago | Likes 70 Dislikes 34

10 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 7

Hah, don't bother recycling them! Flush em down the shitter!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sure and I agree that both candidates are not good. But you can't base things off trumps policies since he constantly changes them.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

Look how many "unclear" parts there are for him because of his position shifts for votes

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 3

Agreed lol. I took it for granted that you don't know how much I despise Trump before seeing this.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

Or because he hasn't actually even considered some of them. Like Net Neut he seems to be confusing it for the old Fairness Doctrine.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I like the idea of things being left to states. Fifty united countries.. have choice and variety

That's what the whole point of this was in the first place. We're the "United States of America"...not just "America"

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We tried that before it didnt really work. See articles of confederation

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

States, united in freedom, but separate except when the need arises. Like a close community of neighbors.

Reducing middle-class taxes, pro-life outside of tragedy, felons can't vote, eliminate DoE, privatized space travel...

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 14

All of those are shit you pointed out some of his worst policies. Privatised space travel? What in the fuck?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

What is that undesirable? The government shouldn't be spending my tax-dollars on space exploration when children go hungry and uneducated...

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I mean, expanding where veterans can get care would help, wouldn't it? Although I admit that's the only one I can agree with.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Ok veteran help seems wonderful but over the rest he just doesnt add up.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Does he want to expand where veterans can get care, or privatize completely? His stance is a bit unclear and privatizing would be bad.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Unfortunately, their stated policies and positions usually are completely different from the reality of implementing them or following thru

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes but it's more likely to happen with them than with a candidate of an opposing viewpoint... You gotta take your chances.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also note each individual's temperament.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hillary: Cold and calculating, Trump: Thin-skinned, vindictive, angry. Don't know enough about the other 2 to post anything of value 4 them

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What about Andrew D. Basiago, the candidate who says he's from the future and saw himself staying president in 2040? (This is 100% true).

10 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 0

They did an @midnight episode about him that was an absolute delight to watch.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You mean the guy fought pterodactyls on mars with Obama in the future?

AMEN HECK YEAH

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Exactly, often people assume them to be only abortion clinics. Which often they provide a service to all women and often little to no charge

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

Trump: "Millions of women... that are helped greatly [by PP]. And I wouldn't fund it. I would defund it because of the abortion factor"

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 2

Money put there is a great investment. If Gary Johnson, who is against spending any money but still supports PP, you probably need it. Haha

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Amen-got many yearly exams there when I was broke and without health insurance. Also got cheap birth control pills

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Trump said the min wage was too high? Jesus...idk why but out of everything he's ever said that is pretty ignorant.

10 years ago | Likes 76 Dislikes 18

the pattern there is trump says it is both too high and too low, he seems to say whatever the person listaning wants to hear

10 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 1

I think there is a contextual difference, it's too high when outsourcing and illegals are still options. We can only raise after THE WALL.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

He said, as with gay marriage, it should be up to the states and have no federal minimum, IIRC.

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

What about cutting funding to environmental protection and not believe in climate change and believing vaccines give autism, hes retarded.

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Trump has said he wants to replace the EPA with something else.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Also ignorant.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

He recently said he supports raising it.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 6

His stance on the minimum wage has legitimately been on every possible end of the spectrum throughout his campaign. I think its safe to

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

believe his original thoughts on it, as it lines up best with Trump in general. That is, believing that the minimum wage is too high.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

He said it's too high (For the current ratrace of international competition) he's also claiming his protectionism will fix that ratrace.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Anybody who wants a higher minimum wage is about as ignorant as they come. Economics.

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 28

Agreed. It leads to inflation

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also he wants to cut income tax for individuals who make less than 25k and married couples with less than 80k per year.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Actually Trump said recently he would support a $10 minimum wage

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Should let the states decide. Can survive on $5/hr in Louisiana, $15/hr in New York, everyone gets the short end of the stick.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

If a person is paid a wage that they can only survive on, they're being underpaid.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Then $8 shouldn't be the wage in New York.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Technically it is too high, it's difficult on small business. The issue is that it's required because of how high cost of living is.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 5

But if u think big business..where they make billions. We're paying for their workers because they aren't paying them enough.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

He also said he wants to intentionally kill civilians in the middle east and bring back torture "even if it doesn't work."

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Killing civilians comment was on Fox and Friends, and torture comment was at a rally IIRC.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Thats a war crime

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes, it is. It's literally the definition of terrorism, killing civilians for a political agenda. The video: https://youtu.be/WWiaYQUV2oM

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Good. Johnson and Stein are awful choices and shouldn't be reasonably considered.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 5

Rather either of them then trump. At least they they sound reasonable and intelligent.

I'd love that! Johnson could siphon some people away from Trump, and Stein would prove to the nation how shitty the Greens are. It's win-win

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 6

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's one of the reasons why I've said that while his positives are fairly good, his negatives are REALLY bad.

10 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 6

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Also, the vast majority of people now are already above min wage anyways.

yes. its unclear

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, this is pleasant. It doesn't follow up the image by bashing just one of the candidates and ignoring the rest.

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

I can. Stating that some candidates want to raise taxes on the rich so they pay their "fair" share.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Reporting what they say doesn't mean who's saying it isn't a lying bastard.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Hilary doesn't seem to have a bee up her bonnet about anything. That's good and bad.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Considering the amount of information on display, probably Bernie Sanders...

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I can tell that they're anti-trump due to the use of "unclear" followed by "decided by states".

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 51

Well I think that's very accurate. with him actually being very "unclear" about what his policies actually are. Not commenting or flip flop

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Trump talks in circles and avoids giving clear stances on many issues. Hence the "unclear"

10 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 3

For weed he's said remove the federal prohibition and leave the rest to states. How is that unclear? The rest of the "unclear" are the same.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 16

It's only clear if you assume to know what he actually supports. He isn't taking a stance for or against. Doesn't want his hands dirty.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Conservatives are generally in favor of smaller fed govt and giving more power to states to have more say in their own policies/ laws.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Actually some wording on Trump's list does imply unfavorable bias. No, I don't support Trump. I'm just being honest.

10 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 4

I don't think it's unfair to say when Trump's stance is "unclear". Evasive might be a better word, but THAT would be opinionated.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't think so, I think knowing exactly where trump stands on some issues is somewhat difficult to see clearly.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

"Wants to somehow close off the Internet"

And after reading this, I honestly can't tell who I support either. Definitely not Trump, but not ALL of his views are bad.

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

ya, to many of of his stances on key issues are just plainly messed up, doesn't support net-nutrality, abortions, climate protection, ect.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

I find myself cringing on all of them at some point. It's hard to find one I completely agree with. or even mostly agree with.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I mean gary johnson was looking good but then his stance on 3 important things, Vaccination, minimum wage and college tuition scare me.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Not to mention, the whole tax reform thing is.. Interesting. It'd shake things up, but there's no telling if it would be good or bad.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I understand concerns about vaccination, and I am very pro-vax. However, forcing parents to have their kids vaxed seems like a bad idea. (1)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

From anti-vaxers view it looks like the Gov is taking their kids away and injecting them with drugs that cause psychological defects. (2)

10 years ago | Likes 868 Dislikes 6

I kinda doubt that it ever was.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

As a journalist in a small market, exactly you show the whole picture not just the part you like.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

In theory, but there are no big impartial outlets today. Cronkite would probably refuse any of today's major networks on principle.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

Indeed.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

True journalism exists, it's just harder to find. It's also generally in print, uncommonly on TV, and rarely in a blog.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I hear BBC is usually good for non-British news. Not too familiar with them though.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I'm curious, do you have any recommendations?

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

This seems relatively unbiased, so +1. No doubt someone will find issue with certain platforms, though.

10 years ago | Likes 861 Dislikes 11

Only bit that was crazy understated was Clinton's stance on gun control. But overall, as far as I could tell, reasonably well stated.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

Really you can't tell? Obviously Hillary or Gary. You can tell by the Syrian Refugee line.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 6

I disagree. There's subtle wordplay going on for all of them. Like "Fair share" of taxes instead of "increased" taxes. Or Including (1/2)

10 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 9

Reporting what they say they support doesn't mean who's saying it isn't a lying bastard. Digging deeper would be taking a viewpoint.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You are free to disagree. Relatively unbiased =/= completely unbiased. If you have a more unbiased chart, please feel free to share.

10 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 3

Inherently divisive and negative reaction....hmmm

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think that may be taking from some of the candidates own language. Alter their words for "neutrality" would be very difficult 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

And most likely would just be adding the authors own biases. Even then the reader would likely be unhappy it didn't match their biases 2/2

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

If they are direct quotes then I retract my nitpicking comments!

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Yeah, "fair" jumped off the page at me too. Still, compared to other things like this, it's not so bad.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

the word "somehow" under Trump's internet policy.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 13

Please explain how to effectively close the internet

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He wants to do something that is essentially impossible. He has not made clear how he wants to do it. Ergo, 'somehow'.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

He hasn't said anything about how he intends to do it and it is essentially not possible to do.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well his policy is the only one that involves something that nobody knows how to do. It's like trying to stop trade, only (1/2)

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

a single open route is sufficient to allow full use. And none of the shipments really are labeled. Etc. (2/2)

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I agree its pretty good but it doesn't touch on Hillarys method of dealing with Iran, Russia and Syria in which she wants soldiers in all

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Biased Post. All Candidates apart from Trump are smiling. OP is pro-anyoneotherthantrump

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Jill Stein does not appear to be smiling. Not frowning like Trump, but not smiling either.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Some of Johnson's stuff seems intentionally worded or expanded upon to make it seem better, but yeah, probably the most impartial I've seen

10 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 7

Idk who to ask but do you know why he wants no federal wage standards?

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

It's just his whole concept of "it isn't the government's place to control" let the company do what it wants. Same with a few other policies

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

It's a pretty basic libertarian theory, get government out of people's lives. They believe the market will fix everything.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I read it and just thought he was a bit crazy. I understand and respect those beliefs, but they are not for me.

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

I feel the same about any breed of hardcore libertarianism. Like, do you really think more free marketism will solve the America's problems?

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I'm sure eliminating minimum wage is going to help the average american. It's a no from me because of that one policy. (well, the) 1/?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

other policies he has are also a bit ehh for me.) Though I actually find that Clinton's policies are pretty reasonable for me. The other 2/?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think they mean this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Assault_Weapons_Ban

This is probably obvious, but just to clarify... I did not write that article, was just shown it by a friend, and it seemed appropriate.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah that's what i figured, appreciate it though =)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Really, the whole idea of a prison being run for profit, rather than for benefit of society as a whole, is just skeevy as Hell IMO.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I completely agree.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Now I need to know how Jill Stein stands on that topic.. It's really important to me too

10 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 1

She's progressive as they get, very against private prisons

10 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 0

Why is she so unpopular? Where are all the bernie fans for her? She seems very similar to Bernie yet no one gives a fuck.

10 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 2

She's never held public office and has no coalition in congress. She'd be a very poor president, no matter how ideologically desirable.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Because I think a lot of people like some of her policies, but she's very very left and with Hillary being more moderate, she loses out.

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I voted for her in 2012, but my stances (and hers) on things have changed since.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She's never held office, some people disagree with her views on vaccines/wifi and her goal of no fossil fuel by 2030 is basically impossible

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Bernie finally dropped out of the race and she got some support there.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Because she actually believes wifi is harmful, vaccinations are dangerous, etc. A total nut case.

10 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 12

These accusations are false. She's not a nut case at all, people just want her to be seen that way.

10 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 4

But the information above says otherwise doesnt it? Is it false or am I missing something here

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

This Bernie fan is for her

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I heard that she said WiFi waves are harmful to children...

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

That's really major. Private prisons are exploitative and abusive. It's basically slavery.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Please accept this in the light hearted humour it's asked in... Are you planning a jewelery heist?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm not the FBI, just bored and curious

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Important to note the reform on drug related/non violent sentencing. Massive reduction in incarcerations. Don't agree with privatization tho

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He wrote a tumblr about it, he used them because NM prisons were so fucked that feds had taken over.

10 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 3

Yaaaa the prisons he used in place of them were just as bad if not worse.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So instead of reforming them, he went with a system that gives corporations a profit motive to encourage more crime?

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Also, it was a stop gap for the problems the prisoners faced. As I understand it, New Mexico is now back to publicly owned prisons.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Probably improved their lives over the way it was before. Johnson is huge into putting fewer nonviolent criminals in jail and prisonerrights

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Well, making it profitable to lock them up, not rehabilitate them, & cut every corner for more profit sure is a funny way of showing it.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Dude, government was so bad it was the best option. Yes, private prisons are a bad idea but it was better than the abuse that was happening.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Meanwhile, I don't think non-violent offenders should be in can unless they're like habitually stealing things.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

HOWEVER, I also think public beatings for things like theft should be in use, and I approve of the Death Penalty SO...I'm pretty primitive.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wonder if private prison system would actually work as long as prisoners could actually choose where they want to go. Nothing unreasonabl

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just like once every 3-5 years, choose to move if you are being abused. This would create competition between prisons, and improve treatment

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Prisoners are still seperated from population. They just get moved around more, and prisons who treat them poorly get bad reputation.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Leading to fewer inmates, leading to lower financing.

Ugh. Damnit

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Most military spending is pork barrel so that Congress can pay back rich friends. Could be cut in half and give soldiers a raise too.

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Like what they said in CNN tonight, Johnson supports the Pentagon's own recommendations to cut bases that are kept open for political reason

Do they actually appear on the form or booth as options on voting day?

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

It's difficult for outsider parties to gain momentum to contend with the two main parties.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

parties that get 5% of popular vote get financial compensation, and 15% they get reserved place in future debates.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 13

In what way are they "legitimate"? They have no chance of reaching 270 electoral votes.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Johnson will break the % threshold for the national televised debates (~10%) Jill stein could even reach that as well. They could even (1/2)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

cause a plurality winner within the "Two Party" system. Which would give them more than just a legitimate title. Let's check with the (2/3)

I'd have figured Trump's votes would get fettered to Johnson.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 4

Well the EPA is a sack of shit that wanted to ban black cars so...

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 22

I seem to remember him saying he wanted it replaced with three smaller agencies, but that may have been a mistake.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Yeah, that's the official GOP stance - abolish and replace it with something else, although the "something else" is unclear.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Presumably something that doesn't have so much pseudolegislative power on top of enforcement.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Probably. Not a bad idea.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Three different agencies could mean they're splitting on lines of interpretation, like a miniaturized version of the three branches.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The problem with the EPA is that they(and others)'ve started absorbing legislative and judicial functions and generally eroding seperation

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 5

Yah, just saying the first way is too simplistic though. Also, the understanding of the situation is not holistic enough imho.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Evolution is fact, natural selection is a theory. Gravity is fact, anthropogenic climate change is a theory. Theories can be wrong.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 6

Y'know, apart from where there's overwhelming evidence that it is happening, and it's better to play it safe and take less risks.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You have misunderstood scientific theory. A theory in science is completely different to the everyday usage of the word.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

No where did I imply that they are hypothesis. But they are still theory. natural selection is a theory that explains evolution very well

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But even though it can explain it very well, there are competing theories that are also relevant, eg, sexual selection

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sexual and natural selection are both theories but they are not competing, both have an effect. They coexist.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sexual and natural selection don't disprove each other. They coexist as theories together.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No I haven't, but go ahead, explain.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It is impossible to prove that global warming is man made and not a natural cycle.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 15

Should we also return to leaded gasoline? It's equally impossible to prove those levels aren't naturally occurring.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

You mean aside from the fact that the temperature hasn't raised this quickly since the dinosaurs were wiped out?

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

A change of a degree in a geological blink of an eye is suspect evidence at best. Temperatures were likely fairly volatile at that scale.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Not to mention measurements of the lower troposphere as opposed to land monitors (subject to error) show far less increase.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Aside from the carbon isotopes being different? Or that we know past CO2 levels from ice cores and can measure increases over time?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

1) The idea that humans are increasing CO2 level at least at some level is far less disputed. The idea that this translates into

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

2) runaway global warming with runaway postive feedbacks like water vapor resulting in catastrophic effects is very disputable.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I don't know anyone who doesn't believe in "climate change". The climate is always changing. Always has, always will.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

What I, and many others, don't believe in is "CAGW" (catastrophic anthropogenic global warming). There is zero evidence to support it.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3
