Working that hourglass 👍

It's not easy, I'm proud of you for sticking with it. I started my journey 2 days ago when we got a pool, with fibromyalgia, multiple diseases slowing my metabolism, multiple meds that cause weight gain, and a broken back even healthy eating isn't enough. But once I'm in my pool the pain is gone and I can be active and especially exercise my core and back muscles without damaging them. You and your weight loss is an inspiration to me to keep going!

Hope you feel better, but it's not possible to see much of the before image. I know you're not proud, but...

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I had to crop out the ex boyfriend, I'll have to sort through my old pictures and see if I can find anything better.

Thank you, beauty and weight are not opposite.

Great job

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

WOW. wish I could be this motivated for anything!! Way to go!:)

Where is all that loose skin? As big as she was she should have loose skin, I don’t think it’s a true before/after picture.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

This was off my Reddit post where I talk about that, but so slow and healthy sustainable weight loss that I got fortunate.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

my only concern is that you might be sued by all the people hurting their necks when doing a double-take after you walk by

3 years ago | Likes 407 Dislikes 6

Have you been harmed by @redheadrevolver getting super fit? If so, you may be entitled to financial compensation. Call now. Operators are standing by.

Op’s account seems suspicious.

3 years ago | Likes 55 Dislikes 2

It's definitely not accurate. She's not revolving at all!

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Just because they joined 3 years ago and in that time there was no activity? v

3 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 1

They've been too busy getting in shape to post.

3 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Ah, that explains it.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I just wanted to post a picture to Reddit and I had no idea this was a whole thing. I have fucked around and found out, now.

3 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 1

Welcome to Imgur.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh darn...

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Mondays are reserved for Redheads but keep fucking around and nice job

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Lol it happens pretty regularly tbh. Hope folks weren't too harsh... usually they just explain how to host a pic private.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

If it helped even one person it was worth it.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Looks great... now the challenge to keep it that way... congrats.

3 years ago | Likes 112 Dislikes 16

Ugh! Yes. I need to get my doughy ass back into shape.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ty have kept it up for 11 years now!

3 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Only post, no favourites or comments. They probably don't even know we exist. Probably for reddit or something

3 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

if they even existed in the first place. kind of looks like an ai photo on the right. could easily be an ai face move from the first photo.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It even seems hard to believe to me, and I lived it! I understand your skepticism but definitely 100% me.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

im totally willing to be open minded. what made you decide to start posting pics here, and now? did you use a different platform before and are now trying out imgur?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've been too chicken to post pictures until today, this was for a Reddit post and I only knew to use Imgur to link. Honestly had no clue it would garner attention.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Maybe Imgur is just the wormhole from other realities where people post pictures.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Could be!

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Once you understand food and what you should and shouldn't eat it gets much easier. Assuming you didn't do any corner cutting diet methods for quick loss

3 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 4

Yeah, but at some point, I stopped caring. Now I can just figure out how many calories make me fat.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I knew. I lost 20 pounds. Told myself I could do it again now I knew how. I did keep most of it off for years. Now I've been trying to go back to that weightloss state of mind for years, only managed to gain 15 of those 20 back.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've found that once you look the way you want it's even easier to slip back, because you're not pushing for a goal anymore. It's a lot harder to stay motivated for no change. IMO, obviously.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Depends on reasons. As someone who went from 240 to 165 and pretty shredded due to overeating, it always looms. I had 2 major shoulder surgeries in March which significantly hampers so many physical activities, and it was an insane struggle to not eat as a coping mechanism. I know exactly how to eat, measure, and prep with math. The urges and behavioral development of many years of bad eating habits stays with you. In some situations it's been harder to stay with than sobriety for me.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I moved to low carb for that reason. But, yeah, it's easy to stray with all those new coffee shops and cakes they offer.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You're completely right - being overweight is, in its root, very often psychological. The solutions to lose weight are all physical, but to keep it that way also requires psychological work to be good to ourselves long term, change food habits etc - which is why it's honestly perplexing why people don't mention therapy as a good / almost needed tool to change your relationship with food and health.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hahahhahahahahahaha. I've known my whole life Broccoli is better than chips, water better than soda. Knowing is NOT half the battle.

3 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

It's developing a taste for water

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've taken a slightly different approach that has seen immediate results for me: Eat less. More specifically: Not hungry? Don't eat. So far I've lost 10lbs in less than a month, I've also realized that I usually don't get hungry during work hours and at most would need a small snack to carry me over to dinner. Drinking primarily coffee with only creamer or 0 sugar energy drinks for caffeine also helped. What I eat has largely remained the same.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

For me that first month was the hardest. As I continued to look into the crap I used to eat the less I wanted to eat it once I really understood how bad it is for the body. It's one thing to know something isn't good for you, and another to know exactly how it's not good for you. Being successful the first attempt is uncommon I say

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Absolutely, I was definitely coming at it through rose colored glasses. Mostly jealous that my tongue wins more than my brain.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

G.I. oh know!

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You sound cynical. I get it. I had to meditate and have therapy to get out of that mentality that everything is permanent and you have to always work on things. It's not. Nothing is permanent. @OP hit a milestone, she could fall back to middle ground which is great. Or she could yoyo. Who cares? She hit a milestone. Lower the expectation, don't think of the result, be in the moment (and don't be such a nihilist "it won't matter" it matters. Op proved it. My mindset before was soo mentally

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

draining that I never started anything. Only when I accepted low expectations (even for 5 minutes if work out it's OK) I learned to be contempt. Change came naturally. Rn, I fell back. Got sick every month, I lost momentum. Now probably same as I started body-wise. And the thing is, it's OK. :) Sorry for the lecture.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I think you sound very wise 😊

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Ahh, yea, cynical is the word. I used rose colored in another comment. It's just jealousy on my end. I haven't found my drive to do it.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Maybe find a sport you love and work towards being good at that. I love running and started working towards a target time. I used to push myself to lift just for gains. And then lost it after two months. Man that frustrated me. My body is meant to be skinny so at least I work out to gain speed and stamina. Then again, maybe you don't have to work out to get over your jealousy. Maybe it's something you need to work on.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

What’s with all the brand new accounts with before and after weight loss? And why are the self-declared unsung heroes of usersub pushing them through?

3 years ago | Likes 96 Dislikes 3

I linked this picture to my Reddit post, I've had Imgur for a while but never used to post, looks like I FAFO.

3 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

Lot of rando accounts showing up and getting pushed to front-page. I'm guessing some bot-net may be trying to spin-up a bunch of accounts for future skewing / propoaganda. The US election is soon, so wouldn't be surprised if all social media has bot-nets trying to get a bunch of sock puppets prepped.

3 years ago | Likes 72 Dislikes 0

Jeeeeez ....

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Exactly my wonder as well

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Oh fuck, of course.... I hate it that this is a thing

3 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

I figured that, too, though this one seems to be connected to a Reddit account that’s been posting for years so maybe it’s a real person? Unless it’s a bot stealing a real person’s pics?

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

The fact that the answer to "why is this post popular on imgur?" might legitimately be "because they're trying to destabilize worldwide democracy" is kinda fucking nuts.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Wouldn’t be so nuts were it balderdash, which it sadly isn’t.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It also looks shopped. No stretch marks or loose skin, blurry pixels along the top of the bikini bottoms, mismatched skin color on the neck to the right of the chin.

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Fake tanner in the second pic, lol. I can post more pics, this is just what I picked to start.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Hey, if that's legit you then congrats :)

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Thank you friend!

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I only upvote these before/after posts if they actually tell us what they did/changed to get the results. Otherwise it's just an ego post and contributes nothing to the community.

3 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

This was off a Reddit post, I honestly didn't realize it would garner so much attention on Imgur.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

My apologies. I see the reddit link now and your writeup is great. Do you still get the urge to drink, eat unhealthy, etc and how do you handle those thoughts when they enter your mind?

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Every day, honestly. I give myself a lot of grace and redirect thoughts, and set myself up in advance to succeed. If I want a drink, chances are I am actually hungry, tired, or lonely. Meeting my needs in other ways has been key.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You are wise. This is the way and I'm glad you're here to be an example for others. You're inspiring others

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

i bet this isnt even an ego post, this is just straight fake. they havent posted anything, ever, and now post two very personal photos? sorry, no thats not how humans work.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is it not?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It links to a Reddit post of an account active for years. Not everyone needs heavy interfraternity in a community before posting in said community.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thank you, Cheese. It took a lot of brave to post on my main on reddit, but I wanted people to believe me. Had no clue Imgur was a community and not just a picture hosting site. I can take the hostility if it helps one extra person.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

:)

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

3 year trophy but no comments or favorites

3 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

It's always a bit suspicious when the OP doesn't reply to comments.

3 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

I have been and will continue to, this was for a Reddit post and it never occurred to me it would garner any attention outside of that.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Good job and I wish I can do the same!

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No hard feelings, I just noticed that a lot of posts like this that makes it to the FP often have zero comments from the OP. If it's actually you, good job on the weight loss. I've been kinda lazy myself for a long time but started doing treadmill 3 times a week to avoid overdoing it and giving up as I know myself... Been around 215-220 for the last 10ish years, now at 197. Baby steps in my case but I need to do more now as I still have 20-30 more to go.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You got this, friend!

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

its always a bit suspicious when op hasnt replied to anything, ever, until this highly personal post. gonna give this one a 5% chance of being real.
