Just because some other burden is heavier doesn't mean your's isnt. Point is we're all human, and I'd hate to have the day I'm in bad mood and react badly to one of the 50 people trying to get my attention that day ruin my reputation regardless if I was a worker or celebrity.

A lot of it is that we Americans tend to be for personal freedoms that cross into encroaching on what others feel are their personal freedoms and thus ensues the conflict that often involve police. A bit more tolerance would help. People who do work often work long hours. There is resentment towards anyone some might feel are taking from the labor of those that work very hard. It's understandable, but that's not really who labor is benefiting from the most.
Adam Sandler legitimately seems like a good guy. He's one of the few actors I looked up to as a kid who hasn't shown the world a horrible dark side in real life (not to say that couldn't have one, just that everything I hear about him in real life seems to suggest he's an all-around chill, good dude). Side note: Anyone else have his comedy song albums in the 90s? "Piece of Shit Car" played on loop in my house lol
I was never much of a Sandler fan, but reign over me showed me he could do tragic and not be lost in the role. 50 first dates and the wedding singer were good in their own right, but he felt like the same person. ROM was the first time I saw him actually break from his usual shtick and I really appreciated the change of pace and respected him so much more for it cus the role is just so fuckin sad and he played it well.

Mostly not Oscar worthy but he seems to have fun and helps people out, can’t ask for much more
Gonna echo the mention of Uncut Gems. Shows he can do a serious role very well. None of the usual Sandlerisms, nothing goofy, just straight-faced acting and phenomenal for it. The topic of the movie itself might not draw a lot of people - gambling addiction - but it's damn good for what it is.
That's why I say it might not draw a lot of people. If you've never had to live with a gambling addict, it may just look as you described. But having been deeply hit by a gambling addict, it's a very raw and real depiction.
