I understand the face masks which were all the rage a couple years ago interfere with facial recognition. Seems to me a good reason to wear them.

It's kinda funny to me that the same guy that did MC Vagina would also put out some serious music.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I never heard of him until he came out with his first album so I had no preexisting expectations or comparisons. I still have never listened to or watched any of his comedy.

#15 don't get me wrong, I love the word, but really how many people don't listen to multiple genes of music? Or is it me and everyone i know that's weird?

2 years ago | Likes 71 Dislikes 0

I think it depends on how you define genres. I know several people that only enjoy rock, for example, but I don't think I know anyone that only enjoys one subgenre of rock. Most people I talk to music about, though, listen to an enjoy a wide variety of music but have one or a few genres they identify with and make a part of their personality.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Like there's a reason we have collective nouns for punks, metalheads, goths, etc. Some people take a musical genre and its accompanying cultural signifiers and make it a significant part of their personality.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't know; I have jamnesia

2 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 0

I think it's more that people who aren't really passionate about music eventually ossify and stick to the stuff they already know. They don't go looking for new artists, and often don't even listen to new albums from artists they already like.

Also, music snobbery is often expressed by accusing someone of having a narrow palate, so it could be that, too.

2 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

I *think* it's intended to be something closer to 'passionate about multiple genres of music'? There are a lot of people that, while they don't rigidly exclude other music have a favored genre and it's the only one they will intentionally listen to or be conversant about.

Similarly there are many people who may say something like 'I have eclectic tastes' or that they 'listen to any music' when what they mean is that they don't have any specific interest in music.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I like music, but I don't go seeking it out usually. Music is a nice way to decorate time, but a lot of the time, silence is fine for me too. I have so much going on in my head, its just not necessary. A lot of the time, I put on headphones and forget to actually play any music through them.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why limit yourself, right?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I like different genres of music but when it comes down to it it's actually any music that has high energy and great melodies. From Vivaldi through to ACDC, ABBA to Bach, Eminem to the Croatian entry in the Eurovision.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Might I suggest to you, Master Boot Record?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You may indeed, and thank you. I've had some great suggestions from Imgur. Kryptonite from 3 Doors Down is an example. I shall report back!

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Great energy there! Synth metal is yet another genre on my list! Thanks for the tip. Also, the synth guy (is that even a term?) has some set up.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, it looks just as wild in person. They're from Italy, and they also have a side project called Keygen Church if you'd like to swap out the synth part for classical. La Chiave Del Mio Amor (The Key to My Love) is a good start.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I only realised that I'm very much into high energy / fast beat music when my YouTube Music Recap told me. Seems obvious now that I know it, but I had never thought about it before 😂

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I mean, I listen to hundreds of genres. Death metal. Melodic death metal. Black metal. Black groove metal. Hardcore metal. Trash metal. Power metal. Numetal. Acid metal. Grindcore metal...
