I'm the type that can eat and enjoy the same thing over and over. Its not that I cant enjoy some variety, its just that I dont *need* it. This leads me to doing meal planning that resembles something like "and this week I'll make a giant pot of curry, I'll have spaghetti next week...". Honestly this feels like the most efficient method. Neurotypicals are missing out.
Is there anything more versatile than fried rice? I guess pasts would come in second. I live in the Philippines, they eat rice like 3-4 times a day usually just white rice unless they’re feeling frisky and make a yang chow or any of a thousand different ways.
In Brazil they just say the region of where they originally were from. I forgot the name of the region. So like Kentucky nuts if they were from the US.

I remember when Chinese takeout was cheap. And good.

I could probably survive for months on end at a Chinese buffet.

If you have that many succulent Chinese meals, your bound to get caught up by the Australian police sooner or later.
Ghlargh
Only a few months though before you die from all the sugar, salt and fat and lack of exercise because you refuse to leave the room :)
anarchoFeline
get a rice cooker and learn to make fried rice and you can have it every night
IntelligentLake
Okay, I have the rice cooker, and the rice, but no matter what I do, I can't get the shrimp to make the rice.

They don't call it "Chinese food" in China.... They just call it "food" <---that joke is at least 100 years old
nclu
Since I've married a Taiwanese woman I've noticed I don't say "Chinese food" anymore. We talk about getting/making Sichuan, Cantonese etc.
TerribleAwful
do you know what they call military time in the rest of the world? ...time (that joke is as old as... time)
psugab
The word for food is rice, but you can't really say you're eating rice because it's implied.

My son at age 8 observed that when we bought pizza in China, it was still Chinese food.
ElbowDeepInUserSub
That's hilarious. We'll be watching his career with great interest.

Same way Brazil nuts are just called nuts in Brazil. Which is a lot better than what they're called in Missouri.

My mom grew up in California and they were called that back then. Of course her mom was from Missouri, so who knows.

I genuinely think it's a ridiculous thing to be opaque about when you literally brought it up.
