1st one. I feel like, what he did was the equivalent to when you pick up 5 lego pieces while dropping 8, only to pick up 4 more while dropping another 10. My point is, every kid within 2 km will probably be stung 3 times minimum, that day.
We have a bumble bee hive under our bay window under ground in our garden. They're quite harmless and it's funny to see one every once in a while get confused when leaving the hive and bounce off the window glass. Yesterday I was repainting the outside and I guess I got a little too close to their opening to the hive and a single bumble bee came out and buzzed around me and even stung me on the wrist...I took the hint and went and painted the other side leaving them alone for now...
A nephew of mine went and sat on one at the swimmingpool. Never ever have I seen anyone run that fast while screaming his head off until he went under in the pool..
Yes, but bumble bees are generally 'I'll sting you but only as a last resort'. Asian giant hornets are here only to teach mankind humility and fear. Mostly fear.
The only time I've been stung by a bumble bee was when one was in my boot and I put my foot in there without checking. Their venom is more potent than regular bees, though.
lol, multiple people i know who have had bumblee bites have had the same thing - makes for a very prominent blood vessel. Coule be the variety of bumblebee, perhaps?
The more rigid they get the more weakspots at the joints they get. And those suits are hard to puncture the air cussion is another safety layer, you can see on the bluesuite lot of stings stuck in it.
I wish any of mine would make it that long these days. 9~10 has been the upper bounds. I had a Itchy that made it 17. My youngest is a rescue who is about 2 now. Haven't decided if we will keep any of the kittens but actively trying to find homes.
Great question. Actually a few do. Live in Mexico and there are Mexican honey wasps. Prefer the honey bee honey but yes. Hornets do not btw. They are just assholes.
Yeah, but there are a lot of pollinators besides stingy aggressive fucks. Some mosquitos are even pollinators. Bats and hummingbirds are pollinators. Fuckin Butterflies are pollinators. There's no reason that's a good excuse for these buzzy shits when there's MANY less aggressive options.
That's not really an accurate view of pollination. You can't just remove one pollinator and replace it with another. Most pollinators can only pollinate specific plants, or a small list of them. Many plants are highly reliant on specific species to pollinate them as other species just don't do it. This is an issue with honey bees: people are pushing them to the exclusion of other pollinators and then wild bees suffer, and there are plants out there that can only be pollinated by one wild bee.
