Nope, it's Sand Hollow State Park in Utah. It's called "The Chute" - Google Maps has a marker for it if you zoom in enough on the park. Difficult obstacle, people have gone over and rolled down the cliff. So don't try unless you're in a vehicle that will let you survive that.

No, you are right, Jeep does make a factory vehicle that could climb that. It would just take a jeep and a package that is worth about $60-65k+ to do it.
Jeep wants all its vehicles that are trail-rated to be able to complete the Rubicon Trail. It doesn't say how much support crew is needed to stack rocks, and the condition of the vehicles afterward (moldings that have popped off/torn off, dented skid plates, body damage).
92 Yj, stock except for 31" tires. Was worth around $6k at the time. I get it, you spent a lot on your jeep, and want to believe it was all necessary. Yes, my current Rubicon with many mods does that climb much more easily, and does other obstacles that the YJ failed to clear. THIS obstacle, however, it cleared nicely.
I would bet many vehicles from the late 80's could run it. The Toyota Hilux is a step above all those. If I was to drive across Australia, I would do it in a Hilux.
When I overlanded in a 2 wheel drive pickup through southern africa I felt guilty about leaving tyre marks in the desert, but at least I didn't scramble up some ancient sandstone and deface that for thousands of years. Take only photographs, leave only footprints...

Note that I-95 (just one example) drivers are doing way more damage to the air, to the ecological areas that it crosses, and to the future of the planet. Also, it requires specific vehicles, interest and knowledge to pull this off. This is not a commuting area. This is recreational and not many places in the country allow this.

One time I hiked like 15 miles to see some cool Chumash cave paintings. We finally found it and the only sign siad "no fires inside the cave". Someone clearly had a fire in the cave and all the ancient paintings were covered in soot. I learned alot about humanity that day.
The reason all the marks are there is because there are very specific places that allow the offroading to occur. I'd rather see lots of people drive the same lines than people all over the place making new lines

Yep, this is part of an established trail which ensures the other 100's of thousand of untouched acreage stays untouched. To drive off the trail is dangerous. Hidden gaps, holes, sharp rocks, cliffs, and more. Not to even mention the fragile protected ecosystems.
This is probably a ridiculously remote area of Southeast Utah. The people who have invested the time and money to do this for recreation also care for the lands they explore. They work to preserve and value the land the trail goes through. If it wasn't for them, this land could be owned by some conglomerate and exploited for its natural resources.

Maybe a Rubicon but not just any stock jeep. It would require sticky tires, suspension travel, and lockers. Extra low gearing is also needed.
