Hajime Miura wins his 8th 3A World YoYo Championship at the World YoYo Contest 2025

I, like, I...have just learned that my understanding of physics is, if not completely wrong, then at least missing some fundamental building blocks.

I once misjudged the length of string and the distance to the ground, smashing my yoyo to pieces.

and then we've had this....

I remember allmost 70 years ago I saw a demonstration of the "rusell" yoyo, in those days John Glenn was one of the first men that went in to space and the guy demonstrating the yoyo launched it allmost to the ceiling of the theater and called that move the John Glenn. Exept for tangeling up the cord I never mastered the art of yoyo-ing ☹

Completely joking here, but did they just record the crowd reactions to golf’s greatest puts and play them over this video?

Yeah, but can he “walk the dog”?

This dude didn't walk the dog even once.

This level of talent is amazing, it looks like they're floating. But, if you look closely, you can see the strings.

Remember like five or ten years ago, when we’d all reach into our pockets for our iPod earbuds, and they’d be all tangled to shit? This dude doesn’t.

I thought the height of yoyo was late 90s early 00s this dude is on another level I didn't know people were working towards. That was really impressive stuff.

That was nostalgic but talk about progression of a sport. There’s no comparison between these two

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

oh yeah but you got to admit for being in the 70's and 80's for tommy smothers to do that was impressive for it's time.

I have a large collection of yo-yos...dozens of Duncans including some I started collecting back in the 1970s! I can't do a thing with them though, I'm just fascinated by them. Heck, I can't even tie my shoes without getting the strings in a knot! That's why I don't wear shoes with laces anymore!
