Fun fact, baby's breath is toxic to humans too. My daughter wanted to put some on top of her cake as decoration. I'm glad I looked it up forst. Apparently even placing them on and picking them off before eating can give you a helluva tummy ach.

Please don't shave your own head in "solidarity". I found it the stupidest thing. I have a bald head, i have cancer, don't pity me. You have a bald head, "my friend has cancer, it really has no effect on me, but I want to let other people know I care. Yeah, this bald head is about me, not about my friend going through the toughesttime of their life."
If you want to help, bring me food, water my plants, take my kids to the park so I can sleep. But for gods sake don't shave your head.

Or at least ask. I asked my mom if she wanted me to shave mine too and she cried and begged me not to. I'm glad I didn't "surprise her" with it.

Yeah itâs definitely not a universal thing. When my partner had cancer, she was very upset about losing her hair, and felt very loved that her best friend was willing to go get theirs shaved with her.
But when my grandma had cancer and someone offered that, she was like âwhy the fuck would you do that, _I_ have to, you donâtâ.

Source: I had cancer. My dad and brother shaved their heads (not even shaved, buzzed to 1/4 inch). Their hair grew out while I nearly died. My and my doctors fought the cancer, they just looked weird. I beat cancer. They didnt even try to help with the rest of my life, wife and two young daughters. I lived. They looked weird for a month.
Yes, I'm salty about people doing this. Sue me.

Iâm so glad you shared this. Also: I have found that most men wonât act to help others when they donât know how to help, so if you want a man to do something to help you, you have to be very specific in asking for help. Give very specific, âI need help, and I want you to do X Y Z and perform this specific act in this specific manner at this specific time,â or men will generally stay out of the way instead of actively help. Itâs sad, but that has been my personal experience.
