Shoutout to the women who in her first 5 days, saw racism, secured and leaked evidence and then quit.

Not at all shocked. People of color rarely get a fair deal. Too many racists from the top down.

3 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 3

Discrimination occurs the second someone has the means & desire to do so. This doesnt require being a part of the majority either.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I bet he goes to church on sunday's too. So christian of him

The religion that helped enslave and genocide millions? Yeah, so out of character.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is literally what "Critical Race Theory" is talking about. Normally, it's at least coded, but this ... well, it's honest.

Nah, the prosecutor is a Democrat, so the Republicans will have a field day with it.

Seems like a easy lawsuit when they’ve put the racist policy in writing

3 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 1

Requires someone to actually bring the lawsuit to court, which means until it was publicwlly reported everyone involved agreed with it

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

There's been so many seemingly easy lawsuits that we are drowning in them the last, I dunno, 50 years now? Nothing. Fucking. Changes.

In canada we literally have the opposite on the books. Native = mitigating circumstance. Im not sure im 100% on board with that but this here is almost comically bad.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

And yet, Latino voters have voted GOP in Florida and other places. Catholic and conservative.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This prosecutor is a democrat who has been elected to this position twice. Now he’s a perfect subject of a campaign ad for any Florida Republican.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I for one, am “totally shocked” that this is happening, and by totally shocked, I mean not at all. If you look at which category this falls under, it’s for “no valid driver’s license”, but not under “expired driver’s license”, ergo this is targeting people assuming they’re illegal immigrants, ergo: “Milk ‘em for all they’re worth boys, keep ‘em poor and they’ll have to keep working our farms and construction jobs for us”

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Whaaaat? American cops are racist pigs? Noooo that couldn't be

3 years ago | Likes 80 Dislikes 20

I think the shock I'd more that they wrote it down.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Technically, he's not a cop. Still part of the problem though. 👍

3 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Not surprised at the racism. AM surprised that they specifically wrote down a policy advising cops to be racist

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Not for the cops, this is for prosecutors making a plea deal offer once the person has been charged. Florida cops would have their own unique racist policies.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Writing this stuff down is so amateur hour....it is FL though.

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

More surprised they could write

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It is essential to understand that Northern Florida is a vastly different place than Florida from Orlando farther south. The demographics are different and so is the history of racial injustice. If you want some interesting material, look up the Associated Press article from 2022 about how white supremacist law enforcement operates with seeming impunity in NF or take a stroll down memory lane by reading about the Hanging Tree in Monticello FL.

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Farther South you have the conservative stupid cubans voting republican because the Rs make a noise about hating Castro, while empowering shitheads like desatan

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I grew up in Monticello. I know.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah, people don't realize how big Florida is or how different it is. Most only know Orlando or Miami. And currently, the same imbalance of sparsely populated rural areas with way too much systemic political power that is plaguing the whole country is screwing up Florida as well.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I hate it here.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The and/or really says it. Fuckers.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The first and last time I ever went to Florida was in 2014. I swore myself not to go back there. That state is a joke, and a cruel one at that.

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 4

I also went there to visit the parents recently. I felt like I was in an amusement park from the moment I stepped off the plane. Not in the "sunshine and whimsy" way but more like everything was a facade, fake and engineered. I felt like if I took a wrong turn I'd see the mascot without their head on and smoking meth or downing Adderall with vodka and going on an anti-semitic rant. Did you get that feeling?

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh my God, yes! What a perfect description. Miami in particular felt like an entire city wearing heavy makeup.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I just marvel at the "and/or" which seems to mean that being Hispanic is equal to an extensive criminal history. Am I reading that right?

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yup.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Me, reading this as a criminal lawyer...

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

It was from the Depp/Heard trial. A witness had just testified over zoom while driving and vaping (i.e., showing no respect for the proceedings). In the full video, I think she says something like "I've never seen that before" after she closes the laptop.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Oh, thanks! I kind of figured this was like that judge judy clip.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

As a Hispanic, the odd thing is that Caucasians are surprised.

3 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

I mean, we're surprised they wrote it down in clear language.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Do you mean non-Hispanic Caucasians? Since Caucasians can be and also are Hispanic i.e. Spanish people living in Spain. They are Caucasian but of course ethnically Hispanic if you lump all Spanish cultures together; Castilian, Catalan, Galicians, even Basques.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

Next time you fill a US census form, look for 'Galician', or 'Basque'. It's always amusing how someone outside a group attempts to lecture a member of the group.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Are you not also lecturing to Caucasians? Generalizing of what all Caucasians supposedly believe. And besides what I said is accurate. And I'm not from or living the US I don't need to be to make an educated comment on the subject. Anyway try to relax and have a nice day.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It shows. The article is about what goes on in the US. The lawyer was shocked. Hispanics in the US are not. And yes, you're neither here nor Hispanic. And yes, I will relax and have a nice day, I just quit my job and taking early retirement today. Wish you could.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Don't get your panties in a bunch

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 6

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

They’ve gotta make sure they write it down for the new hires before they can make it the “quiet part”

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

trump has freed the racists to act out in the open.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

TBH, I'm not so surprised that this policy is in place, I'm more shocked that they actually wrote it down, printed and posted it. Usually racists are kind of hush-hush about it until they think that someone else is racist too...

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Conservative imgurians do you have a justification for this?

3 years ago | Likes 430 Dislikes 35

ABRAHAM LINCOLN FREED THE SLAVES

3 years ago | Likes 72 Dislikes 10

There is no justification for it. MLKJR taught us that those who fear their oppressors because of their strength are worse than the Klans members themselves. That applies today. If you live in Florida and aren't in the streets today rejecting these Christofascists because you fear them, then today you are standing with the Christofascists; period.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

IDGAF about any bullshit justification they have. I'd rather they just STFU and GTFO

Conservative imgurians lol.

3 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 8

Soooo, you assume one political leader is THE complete representation of the whole. I'm conservative in the sense that I believe in a small government. Tell me, do you have a justification for your wrongful discrimination?

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 16

The conservative movement has historically opposed every anti-discrimination law ever proposed. I should be asking YOU that question.

3 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

Again, I'm conservative in the sense that I think government should play less of a role in our daily lives. Making laws to discriminate against people is literally the opposite of that.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

What about laws to prevent discrimination against people?

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Lmao like you'll get an answer of any kind. They only know how to say what they are told to say

3 years ago | Likes 86 Dislikes 23

When we talk among ourselves,
all we get back are echos.
But when we talk with others of a different mind, we are made to think.
And it is in thinking that we learn, and in learning that we grow. Romeo LeBlanc, Governor General of Canada
We don't hear from a mix of voices in Imgur because some people judge others so harshly without even listening, lumping others into one group. Too much use of broad critical statements using all and every instead of some or many.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Actual conservatives are nearly extinct, and Biden is basically the most conservative contender in the race. The two conservatives I know personally both vote straight Dem as the "least-worst choice". Point being, the answer is probably "No", both because this isn't actually a conservative position (fascism is radical, not conservative) and because real conservatives are pretty thin on the ground these days.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Well, he’s a Democrat according to state ballot records, so maybe ask the Liberals instead?

3 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 29

It's not a sports team, do you understand what these political terms are? The democratic party of the US is centre-right in general, some of the individuals within it may be more right wing or more left wing, but in general it's not left. The republicans are far-right.

3 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 6

Yeah… I’ve come to learn that US moderate is EU conservative, and US liberal is EU moderate, very roughly. It’s weird being an EU level liberal in the US. Wanting to make sure everyone can thrive is not an option on or ballots.

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Nah. I'll ask the conservatives. The fact he's a Democrat does nothing to change the fact he's a conservative.

3 years ago | Likes 62 Dislikes 12

We shouldn’t use this as an easy way to dismiss the issue, but as an opportunity to hold a bad actor accountable

3 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Oh geez, way to pick on the guy.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Conservative doesnt equal racist republican but unfortunately there seems to be more more that are ok with that.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Racist that run that office chose to use Hispanic as a euphemism for illegal immigrant. Illegal immigrants without a license get that penalty, and they would have us believe that that policy was not applied to legal but unlicensed Hispanic drivers

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

@Applewhite5 Any time you see racism, you think 'conservatives'. Despite how they actually align politically/socially, because you don't take the time to learn that. Your prejudice is tainting your perception of the world. You may be spreading false information because you are assuming an individuals political beliefs based on their behavior. In the end, the only thing that matters is that racism shouldn't be tolerated from anybody.

3 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 32

The Conservative party in America actively campaigns with self avowed Nazis, KKK members and other white nationalist movements. How many of those groups do Liberals call upon for support? I want SPECIFIC EXAMPLES, not any of your “bbbbbut BOtH sIDeS ArE BaaaAaaaad!” talking points bleated out by you sheeple.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Also- if your beliefs and your behavior aren't in alignment, guess whose responsibility that is to fix? Yours! Don't make everyone else fix your cognitive dissonance for you.

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I mean that's what yall overwhelmingly vote for so yeah. You earned the label yourselves.

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

"Yall" who? Are you assuming I'm a conservative? I have never voted conservative/republican. I just have the ability to control my emotions. You spread false information but it's OK because the other side is a bunch of assholes? This type of shit fuels their 'fake news' rhetoric. There's plenty of real stories about actual conservatives being racist, so why spread this one and not the others?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I am possibly the last conservative imgurian left. However there is NO justifying this nonsense. I hate the politics of my state, Florida, and will never vote for DeSantis again. I feel dirty for having voted for him once and can't stand the fact he's turned into baby Trump. While I'm still a registered 'R', I don't see myself voting that way again. Trump has turned the party towards the hateful, knuckle-dragging hard right and it's disgusting. The drag bans are disgraceful :(

3 years ago | Likes 416 Dislikes 16

I am surprised you still swing that way, considering the Imgur political content

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

How can you be conservative if you're left. That doesn't make any sense, am I right?

3 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 7

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Hate to tell you this, but that was the plan since Nixon's "Southern Strategy", which led to Reagan, which led to the Bushes, and now trump/desantis. You won't like this, but you should have known that. Everyone else did. It's too late to play stupid now. If you were sincere you would work to make up for it. Walk door to door for Democratic candidates, cut off people still in the cult - you know, the hard stuff that would show you meant it.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've got family members in similar straits to yourself. I hope you're able to get your party back on track. I may disagree but I don't think you're evil.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

He's evil. So are your scumbag relatives.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

My relatives have not voted Republican in a very long time specifically because of how inexcusably, rampantly evil the party has gotten. I have a distinct hunch that doesn't matter to you.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You need to do as I did and realize that the party you were in no longer exists. It is more than Trump. It has been taken over by bigots and white supremacists. I switched party affiliation also here in Florida to Democrat. The part I voted for most of my life has been corrupted, I think without hope for redemption. The old GOP is gone. Doesn't exist anymore.

3 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 1

Of course it does. It's been low-key racist and misogynist and homophobic the whole time. trump just made it ok to acknowledge it out loud. You were a part of it. I blame YOU.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

OK, sure. *Rolls eyes in reformed Democrat*

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Ignore them. While the GOP has always been a horror show, they were *much* better at hiding it pre-Bush II. Better that you realized and changed than refused to change out of stubborn pride as so many have, and I appreciate you for it.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I am also a fiscal conservative. Except I want to save money by cutting the military / endless war / mass incarceration budget down to as near zero as possible. Social programs, education, and healthcare ARE fiscally conservative because they save money over the long haul. There is no party that represents this position however, so that makes me a democrat by process of elimination.

3 years ago | Likes 55 Dislikes 3

That's pretty much the boat I'm in. I have some conservative views, and some liberal views, but most of what the Republicans stand for I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I supported them.

3 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 1

Same boat. Sadly democrats don’t seem any better. They all talk a lot but nothing changes. They all make 100k a year and become multimillionaires. Assuming they are not already wealthy or generational politicians.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Well they're not trying to erase and exterminate queer folks. That is so much better that I don't have words for it.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Welcome to my world. I left the party after they nominated George W. Bush. I couldn't imagine them pulling out of that nosedive. And they didn't.

3 years ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 0

W at least understood that republicans were gonna have to reach out to non white voters in order to stay competitive. And wanted/tried to do it. Although 20 years later republicans have proven it was unnecessary. Just ramp up voter suppression and say racist shit out loud.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

DeSantis has always been a POS - you don't get a pass from me. You should feel dirty for a lot of what you've voted for. I respect owning your mistakes but too much damage irreparable has been done, and lives have been lost and ruined from people JUST NOW realizing their mistakes

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Good on ya. Conservative used to mean something about how taxes were spent, how government should be minimized... But that shit is over. Small government is exactly what we have, because they don't do shit for us. Privatizing healthcare, pharma... Plus all this gun and abortion and trans horseshit they are getting away with. Ugh. Conservative now is used by many to hide behind for their fascist Christo dicto bullshit. Enough.

3 years ago | Likes 135 Dislikes 3

Coincidentally, the people conservatives have chosen to represent their beliefs in office over the last sixty years have also made it their life’s work to strip minorities of their basic rights. The only difference between Trump and any other Republican is that he said the quiet part loud.

3 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 1

That's not a coincidence, don't present it as one.

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

voting-in the legislature (directly or via ballot down-voting ) allows for that behavior

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

As an ex-Rep myself (went ind around 2010 when I saw where the ‘Tea Party’ pricks were taking the party, and the switched to Dem because of Trump), what’s keeping you with the party at all?

3 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 1

I'm going to go with a combination of social pressure and unwillingness to admit they were wrong.

3 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

The secret third option: register R so you arent "accidentally" purged from voter rolls or rounded up and put in "detention facilities" until you see "the error of your way of thinking" by being a registered Democrat.

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

What, reagan and the bushs' scumbaggery wasn't a dealbreaker for ya?

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I turned 18 under W. I didn’t know anything yet.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You don't sound very conservative.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

he fucking voted for florida hitler. it was no secret this guy was a fucking fascist scumbag. he didnt care and voted for him anyway. this guy is an asshole and everything thats wrong with this country. NOW he wants to be all "whoops"?? too fucking little, too fucking late. I despise scum that vote for bullshit like this and I give zero fucks if they admit they were wrong. they should have known better in the first fucking place. you dont get to destroy the country and then say "my bad".

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah, it's like my dad. Strict republican for decades yet Jan 6 was the final straw. Yet he still bitches about Biden "ruining the economy", which is so absurd I don't even know how to start.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Exactly.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

No way. desantis has always been scum and this guy proudly voted for him.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Sorry. You don't get a pass. you VOTED for him. (that's what "never vote for desantis AGAIN means, right?) You enabled this. Period. You don't get to just say "whoopsie" and get absolved for your embrace of a monster. It was completely obvious what this guy was, way before even running for office. I suppose it's admirable to want to change but that doesn't undo the decades of damage you have enabled.

3 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 3

Yep. At no point in DeSantis' political career was he not an obviously fascist wannabe dictator. This guy was cool with it until DeSantis took the fascisty stuff a little too far.

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

It's been this way since Nixon and the '60s. They were "good germans" and just want to play stupid now.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's absolutely sickening. This guy actively votes for desantis, says "maybe I made a mistake" and is fucking heralded. he's got almost 400 fucking upvotes. Probably more since I cant be the only one who downvoted this piece of pure fucking filth. The reason this country is in the fucking toilet? its EXACTLY because of clowns like this and the people who easily forgive someone for voting for the destruction of the country. Fuck him. worthless piece of shit.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Fuck you for ever voting for DeSantis in the first place

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

And Nixon, and Reagan, and Bushes, and trump, and deShitis.

Lol

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 5

You find the embrace of a monster humorous? No amount of personal realization can make up for the fact that this idiot voted for that scumbag in the first place.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You misunderstood. I agree. The wording made me laugh. The bluntness, crisp and to the point. Simple but well said. Fuck desantis and anyone who voted for him.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What's funny?

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I just like the way it was said. Made me laugh out loud. Fuck desantis and anyone who voted for him.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

People here saying change your registration. Don't. Rather, consider keeping your affiliation and vote your conscience in the primaries to choose a better candidate, as well as throwing off any gerrymandering plans just a little. Have your friends do the same, and pass it on. Throw off their predictions by adding extra uncertainty into their accounting while you still look like an "R" on paper.

This... I am going to vote for the most moderate Republican that I can in every primary. I will never support election deniers or the hard right. I have also been encouraging my family and friends to turn off Fox news on occasion and start considering more moderate or independent candidates. I used to be hooked on conservative talk radio so I know it's a hard habit to break, but if I managed to do it I'm hoping some of my family can too.

A small European question, if I may. Can you be registered R but ultimately vote D after primaries? (Once the respective selected candidates are facing each other). It would seem logical to me but there are sometimes odd laws...

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes, you absolutely can. You can be registered as a Republican and then vote however you'd like. In many states, registering as a certain party gives you the ability to vote to choose the final party candidate in the primary election, but obligates you to nothing.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes, you can vote however you like regardless of your previous votes. Your vote is confidential. At least in Texas, voting in the primary is what registers you with a party, so you in theory can switch parties every voting cycle if you so choose.

Same. I think myself a moral conservative, political liberal. You have the right to do it even if it's wrong. Conservatives trying to say they're the party of freedom because they try and remove corporate regulations while simultaneously removing human freedoms is among the most disgusting things they've done.

Switch to Independent or Non-Affiliated. You will feel so much better about yourself.

A fkg Democrat? He is a DINO (Dem in name only)

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 5

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but down here they'll run as a Dem to lock up the ballot. Would not bet on him being actually Dem.

3 years ago | Likes 83 Dislikes 8

This.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The ol DINO squad. Democrat in name only

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

That like David Clarke. He always ran as a Dem Sheriff, but left to be a republican talking head.

3 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Like Joe Manchin?

3 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 3

He said CONSERVATIVE imugrians. Not republican imugrians. You're confusing ideology with party. Take Joe Manchin for example, on paper he's a Democrat, but his ideology is conservative and often acts as a foil to his own party.

3 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

Democrat and Republican are parties. They arent the same as Progressive and Conservative, which are ideologies. The Democrat party includes progressives to conservatives, while republicans include Conservatives to Fascists.

Yeah like Americans speaking to Americans can label however they want, just gotta understand that to outsiders looking in...

3 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 3

the party with conservative fiscal policy and corporate pandering are called democrats. The party with the nazis is called conservatives.

3 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 6

Wait. Hard stop. Democrats are all in on outcomes, all other considerations secondary. Conservative fiscal policy? Their stance to a failure of a program to reach a desired outcome is never “well, heart was in the right place but maybe see should try to tackle it in a different way,” it’s “I need to throw more money at it.”

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

I agree with you 90%, except that that's not a conservative policy. It's a racist one. I think a a better point would be that Dems have good people and cunts, and the right has good people and cunts. The ratios are just shifted pretty heavily in favour of cunts on the right, I think.

Well said.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The idea that a Democrat can't be a conservative is proof that political party brainwashing runs deep.

3 years ago | Likes 158 Dislikes 10

That or a lack of understanding for political terms.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I’m not disagreeing, but ppl need to realize there’s bad actors in both parties

3 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 17

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

yes but it's half of one party and 99% of the other

3 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 4

Note: there was no mention of party in the question. They asked "conservatives" not "Republicans"

3 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 6

No, people need to stop saying that whenever someone points out nazism.

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

So is krysten sinema, whats your point? There are conservative democrats, and fake ass democrats. Political party affiliation doesnt mean shit anymore.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

i'm a dirty centrist (on imgur at least) and i just wonder why tf you'd ask that... as if conservative means pro racism. if you want to build bridges there's a possibility since a lot of conservative people are not racist btw. comments like this don't help tho.

3 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 65

Being a conservative doesn’t mean you’re a racist. But it does mean you’re ok with others being racist. So it’s not the flex you think it is.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Conservatives *are* pro racism. Do you think liberals wanted to keep segregation? What the hell?

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

It's because racism and xenophobia are natural offshoots of comservatism

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Centrist are what GQPers call themselves when they know their views are terrible and don't want other people to know they hold them

3 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

are GQPers the Qanon people? I can assure you i never had anything to do with that.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

"as if conservative means pro racism" lmao. Buddy, you're gonna be shocked when you find out who the biggest racists in history have always been.

3 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 3

Nah.. conservatives are garbage people. They are either actively racists or are A-OK with the racism and bigotry and hatred that their political parties embody while also trying to get whatever other shit done that they actively do support. Fuck them all. Vote them out of power and deplatform every single one of them

3 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 9

100%. "I'm not a racist, but I vote for the party proposing/enacting racist laws". If you're a Republican (or "fiscal conservative", "centrist" or whatever seemingly prettier sounding name you want to call it), and you actually give a shit about where we're headed, ask a German to explain hate speech and fascism to you

3 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

Yup. +1 just for being correct

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Why build bridges with worthless morons that want the country to regress and never move forward? They are worthless labor.

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

"Meet us in the middle" Fuck that. We've seen Republican laws and proposals, not one of them is good for humanity

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you try and build a bridge to someone that hates you, they'll thank you for the bridge that allowed them to get close enough to make your life worse. Of course we're talking politics, so they'll like take credit for building the bridge too

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'm going to be polite. Reasonable conservatives in the US are essentially non-existent at this point, as those with ethics and morals have left. Staunch categorization is too restrictive. This isn't so much left v center v right, as it's GOP v Dem now since there's really only viable red vs blue parties. Can't bridge with "stop the steal", build a wall, pedophilia, racist policies, excessive gaslighting with lies, fascist ideologies, corporate underhanded stealing, and anti-individual rights.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

thanks for the response, as you might have guessed, i'm not from the us. it's clear that you don't want a bridge to MTG but are there really no old fashioned conservatives in the us that don't like trump etc? no politically homeless and former rightwingers that are looking for a new home? and where do you see us society go from here?

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

The old fashioned decent conservatives still exist but are rare. Because of the 2 party system, they either get sucked into the propaganda machine eventually, or their humanity drives them to Dems (left in the US). The US is being slowly taken over through immoral legal and illegal means. I'm worried and I'm not sure. Our abusive healthcare system, abuse of healthcare staff, inflation, and corporate manipulation is embedded and entrenched into our culture and made political by the "right".

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not really. They've either been driven out of politics by 'true conservatives' or they're so concerned with 'stopping Biden from ruining everything' that they will make a literal deal with the devil. They don't care what the republican party does as long as they win.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Would you build a literal bridge or community library with Trump, Marjorie Greene, McConnell, and Palin who only serve their self interests and label these infrastructure, and social programs and individual rights as "socialism", or their Democrat counterparts? I'd hazard to say you are a good person and will make the loving choice. What we don't like to admit is two party tribalism doesn't work and we do it anyway. There's literal Nazis ruling GOP. We can't sympathize, nor give into genocide.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

it's foreign to me. we have a multi partiy system and 7 presidents from left to right who can only make decisions together and are not allowed to state their personal opinion about it publicly.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Sounds like a better system. I understand it may have different difficulties quite unlike the US.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I understand. America is having a crisis with 'right wing' Christian ultra-nationalists, whom are almost entirely homophobic, racist, and sexist. American news tend to be propaganda lite, but right wing news 'Fox' and 'Infowars' is literal propaganda, lies, and quite simply... Evil. Like evil evil. I'm not exaggerating. They want to overthrow the government. Literal Nazi genocide and pro-slavery evil. That's why people were so aggressive. I suppose they assumed you were American.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Spin it how you like, it's pretty simple. If you vote for the fascist, racist, misogynist, homophobic party, you're a fascist, racist, misogynist homophobic. Show us a single one of the recent racist, fascist, misogynistic homophobic laws or bills passed or proposed in this country that was supported by the Democratic party. We'll wait

“BUt mAh BOtH siDeS!!!!” @goatswhostareatmen

Yep. "I'm voting to destroy the country, eliminate all social services paid for by taxpayers and instead give the money to billionaires and trillion dollar corporations, marginalize everyone who isn't like me, and you should extend an olive branch, otherwise I might vote the way I've always voted."
