What an unusual situation to find yourself in.

7 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

For a deer? Not really, they manage to get tangled in all sorts of thing. Usually the twisted remains of cars.

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'd let it wear it wear itself out first before approaching. I'm not getting gored because deer are dumb as rocks.

7 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

People don't realize the amount of training Santa's reindeer have to go through to fly his sleigh.

Risking life and self integrity so save a trapped critter... to the Heroes folder it goes!!

7 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Can't their hooves also rend and destroy?

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But he was having fun on your swing! /s

7 months ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 2

took some balls to do that. I'd have made a phone call

I know it's a buck, but: Tornadoe

you should just make the joke and let the nuerodivergent agencies twist and turn correcting you, while you enjoy life.

Hum, that sounds familiar

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Buckadoe. Idk

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What a dummy with a good heart ! That was so unnecessarily dangerous! Use a tool! Like just holding a garbage can in the area to use as a positioner and deflector would've made this sooooo much safer!

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Also it would've been nice for the two people who were filming it to offer to help.

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They may've wisely said "hell no I'm not going anywhere near that, it's MUCH too dangerous."

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Im surprised the deer hasnt broken its own neck running around like that.

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

dude is lucky. think he has an armored rig on underneath, but still. almost fucked his legs up lol

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Damn things are like seagulls with hooves. Better to just thank the world for the free freezer of venison.

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Too bad he wasnt just having fun because then he’d just be having fun.

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is the most fun you can have for a buck.

Deer are so stupid. Like completely smooth brained.

7 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Why is the deer stupid? Like why would you expect any wild animal to understand that situation?

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i mean maybe a raccoon
but i've never heard a positive thin in regards to deer intelligence lol

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

All deer are stupid not just this one.

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

“F+ck u bipedal, was having a blast” - Deer .. probably

7 months ago | Likes 234 Dislikes 8

"bipedo" would be a sick burn

7 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I had a friend who had to free a deer from somethibg like that. We called him Gord. (His name was Steve but, well, Gord was more appropriate after that).

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

why?

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 30

v

7 months ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

WTF since can planes do that!?

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's using a combination of the "cobra maneuver" and "thrust vectoring" to achieve that. Thrust vectoring is basically giving exhaust nauticles the ability to move and send the thrust from the engines to assist in maneuvers. The F22 and SU57 (the one in the video) have two directional thrust vectors, while the SU35 has three directional thrust vectors.

Im on PC on a large screen and I still can't see what ever text is on that missle. great job memeing

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I suppose it is good we have this video to watch and comment on, but perhaps the videographer could have helped instead?

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think I'd just let it tire itself out before approaching. Most deer are phenomenally stupid, some almost approaching the idiocy level of Donald Trump.

7 months ago | Likes 59 Dislikes 6

See capture myopathy

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't insult deer like that.

7 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Easier to hit at range though, apparently

7 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

As a deer furry I wanna object, but multiple days in a row now I keep forgetting to eat before I get shakey, so I don't really have a foot to stand on

7 months ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 4

Then you're probably not part of the gang who discovered my pea garden. You'd be fat.

7 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I get rabbits in my peas- even had one with a pod before everything was stripped down to dirt. I guess I'll have to set up elevated tote planters if I want anything. Or grow indoors, my garage stays cold enough

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I got great peas the first year. Then the deer discovered them. I tried all kinds of countermeasures; nothing worked. My dogs kept rabbits out of the garden, but they didn't feel any motivation to bother deer.

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh come on, that was the PERFECT moment for you don't have a HOOF to stand on!

7 months ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

To reiterate: dumb deer

7 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

As a regular human non-furry, I just call that adhd, so you can leave your tribe out of it if you like

7 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Given the prevalence of autism, ADHD, and AuADHD within the furry community (among other things) it's a pretty common experience for furries.

7 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

You just reminded me to eat. It's almost 2:00 p.m. and I've forgotten to all day

7 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

together, we can sometimes remember to have a bowl of cereal

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Was anyone else thinking about shooting & eating the animal ?

7 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Yes, but you can save the bullet tbh

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The stress and adrenaline could affect the meat if it isn't prepared properly. So its not worth it.

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

sometimes the meat hangs itself up in your backyard...

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's not very sporting when it's stuck like that.

7 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

eating isn't about sport

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Nah, and if it were a survival situation, the government and society would look at it a different way. But in normal circumstances you're supposed to buy a license, and part of obtaining that license is agreeing to a certain set of rules meant to keep the animal from suffering both before and during the act of hunting it.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hunting has a long history as a field sport and consequently gets a lot of culture and vocabulary from that kind of usage attached to it.

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I was.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I like making chorizo out it. The rich spices really temper the gamey taste.

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I like to marinate for a couple days using buttermilk and worcestershire sauce.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'd have to call animal control and have them deal with all.. that.

7 months ago | Likes 173 Dislikes 1

Id wait 24h for the deer to exhaust itself first

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Cool video, glad the dude and the deer were unharmed.

7 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Or just turn it into venison.

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

At the very least use a blanket or sweater to cover its eyes before anything else

7 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Step two: say softly
Easy there big guy im not gonna hurt ya. Let me get this big bad net of your horns. There ya go, you are a brave buck don't ya know. Yes you are now I'm gonna point you away from me and then take the towel off ya now.
Hell yeah brother! Get out there and tell your friends you smell like humans bc you attacked ICE. Does do love a deer that loves to buck up ICE.
... I may have thought too hard about this

7 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Good thought haver.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

They’re good thoughts.

7 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's a nice thought and if actual animal control sent someone competent or a game warden who might attempt a rescue but often they're so far away or understaffed they send a sheriff who is not equipped or trained and will just take out the shotgun and put it down rather than risk injury to anyone.

7 months ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

The word you are looking for is.... pussy

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Call & ask first. Had something similar happen with my kid's swings. Had people there in 15 and everything handled in 20.

7 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Nothing wrong with making a call before going MacGyver mission.

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Most cops I have encountered in situations like this were just itching for an excuse to shoot the thing (including the rattlesnake in a bush in our front yard as a kid). For some things, animal control will do much better but in this case, I don't think any public servant is going to volunteer to go anywhere near that thing. Also, if they shoot it, free meat for them which will DEFFINITELY enter the equation.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The one time my Dad called animal control they declined to do anything. A neighbors out of control attack dog broke it's chain, dug into my parents henhouse, and started a massacre. Dad got part of it with a shotgun but it ran off and called wanting to know WTF to do next. They recommended he track and finish it off to avoid being stuck with vet bills. He did, and thankfully the dogs owner was "good riddance" about the monster he'd created.

7 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Similar in my area. Had a pack of wild dogs. Sheriff said it is your problem if you shoot your neighbors dogs. They were not pets and were aggressive. Finally the sheriff did do something about it. The nearby landfill was a lot of the problem.

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

7 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yup. He was the sort of dirtbag who'd want a vicious attack dog. Eventually got arrested, went to jail, and lost his property for using his girlfriend as a punching bag.

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Classy. I'm surprised he got jailtime instead of just a slap on the wrist fine or community service. W for the courts actually putting a scumbag away instead of letting them continue to pose a threat to the public.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He probably got jail time for dealing drugs. It was his battered half naked GF fleeing to my neighbors that got the cops called and his trailer searched.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

feels like he needed a second person to hold down the deer and make sure it didn't skewer him and that he didn't slice his hand open with the blade

7 months ago | Likes 64 Dislikes 1

Too bad there wasn’t anyone else there… /s

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You're not going to "hold down" a frightened buck. Grown adults can barely contain large dogs when they're excited.

7 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yeah, he failed pretty hard.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sure would have been nice if another person had been there...

7 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Like anyone at all, really.

7 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Some folks in that situation would be more harm than good

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yea, this is ideally a 3-4+ personal job. Need two to secure it most likely. But gotta weigh the time to get help and the risk of it hurting itself further, or doing something "interesting" while not observed

7 months ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Or lacking that many people at least some animal tranquilizer to put it to sleep while you free it.

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

well the amount of personal danger you'll put yourself in to save the animal is another consideration I imagine.

7 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I've had a similar situation a few years back and they took three hours to reach my cabin. I gave up waiting after half hour.

7 months ago | Likes 64 Dislikes 4

Free venison?

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What about, oh I don’t know, the guy who was holding the phone filming everything?

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

In all fairness I think they did the right thing because 1) the animal would be even more stressed and/or aggressive with two large predators approaching it while trapped and 2) they have visual clues just in case that animal control needs to follow up on that animal.

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You were expecting animal control to make it to your cabin in 30 minutes?

7 months ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 2

Let's just say I learned it the hard way and I hope y'all can learn the easy way from my mistakes.

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm sure waiting for 30 minutes must've been exhausting.

7 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

How would you feel to sit for 30 minutes with the situation above?

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

would an animal like that die in 3 hours?

7 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Extremely likely. Stress is a hell of a drug.

7 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Broken neck, broken something that gets it killed anyways, if animals get em, a heart attack. If it was calm I dont see why not.

7 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Can confirm nonhuman animals can have heart attacks. Lost a dog to her having a heart attack.

7 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Easily. My uncle had their dog somehow ended up hanging itself from a tree when they left it on a line while in the yard when they went out for dinner. Was my uncle's last dog and the family was afraid to put the clothes line out unattended after. Panicking people and animals will find the most improbable ways to at least hurt themselves. Could easily see spinal fracture or distractions occurring from this. Broken legs, blood pooling etc. Etc.
