True, in a way her entire vibe feels like a response alleviating the fear of failure and pressure to be perfect. I wasn't around back then, but if the prevalence of wife-beating jokes in sitcoms is an indication of the times, I imagine she helped a lot of women

I loved watching her as a kid. She's the one who taught me that if you're not willing to drink the wine, don't cook with it. And she enjoyed her wine. She was a delight.
