#7 this makes me miss Burger King’s chicken tenders 💔

7 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

#2 I'm listening to this in my brain now thanks

7 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

#11 I wish they would bring these back. I'd help keep them off the shelves.

7 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I know a lot of early 90s kids that would destroy a bag of these today.

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wish with all my heart that I could go back there.

LA Beast! I love the crystal Pepsi videos.

7 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

He was actually at least partially responsible for the Crystal Pepsi temporary return a few years ago, iirc

7 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

It’s not that I want to go back to then; it’s that I miss when things were less complicated because I was too young to know all the complicated things actually going on around me. I looked at all of these in a bit of a fuzzy-eyed trance. It’s a mix of longing for a time I can’t have back and knowing that even if I was back there as I am now I would not be happy (though my dollar would go a helluva lot further at least)

#43 I had this exact pair of roller blades in the late eighties

7 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I had one in the mid 90s. The wheels on mine were hard plastic, not proper rubber. They sucked.

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Pretty sure these are the exact ones that my best friend had. We would each wear one, and scoot around in the tennis courts by the playground. Such good times.

7 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Sigh... so it's offical then. Those "Remember When" junk emails my parents used to get, are now targeting me.

Does this mean I can tell the kids to get off my lawn now?

7 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

A lawn? In this economy?

7 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

13/10 dump. My only quibble is that there was no mention of bookit and personal pan pizzas from Pizza Hut…

7 months ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

For the love of God just bring back the PB Crisps.

7 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

#14 i always thought virtual boy was underrated. It was worth the headaches and neck pain to me. That was as a kid though. It would probably literally kill me now lol

7 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

My best friend had one. I spent an ungodly amount of time playing Mario on it. It wasn't underrrated, it was rated exactly where it should have been for a console that could only display one color, no matter what it could do with that one color.

7 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I had one and loved it. I only had a few games but after seeing the Angry Video Game Nerd video on it, I discovered that I had nearly all the games that were ever made for it!

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#11 These were so good. I cry a little if I think too much about them and what we've lost.

7 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Superb dump!!

#22 I used to love pulling these coupons out and watching the machine spit out another one. That's what the little tray on the top is for. It's so those coupons wouldn't get wasted by punk kids like me.

7 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

have they built that time machine yet?

7 months ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

I wish we had a corporate greed detector/lazer cannon

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah but they aren’t sharing.

7 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

They will one day fashion a faux time machine with brain implants and AI. Are you interested?

7 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

If it gives me this feeling again

#38 MR BUCKET; PUT YOUR BALLS IN MY MOUTH; MR BUCKET; AND ILL SPIT EM RIGHT OUT

7 months ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

That jingle has been living in my head for 30 years alongside Gator Golf. Glad I'm not the only one.

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

See nowadays ….
We would be giggling to darn much

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The Crossfire commercial lives rent free in my head and has for the past...since it first aired.

7 months ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

So you've gotten caught up in the crossfire?

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

CROSSFIYAAAAAAAA

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

OK so when I was like 7 I went to the bathroom with another kid and we pissed in the same toilet and yelled shit from the Crossfire commercial.

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Mr Bucket too. I was way to old to play with it, but that commercial played constantly.

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#13 this is quite literally the oldest memory I have is this toy fuck me

7 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

i *might* still have mine. i DO have the Metal Molder die cast factory still

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

do NOT touch the metal molds after heating unless you love the smell of seared human flesh of course.

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I want Zen Blend back!

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#1 Do not drink the nostalgia Crystal Pepsi!

7 months ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Those are just a couple years old, so probably still safe to drink.

7 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Well yeah, 1992 was like, what, 5 years ago tops?

7 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

They did a remake of it then but it was a different formula. Which is stupid as it makes it an entirely different thing.

7 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Was it like this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0sjRG34DlA

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

https://1000awesomethings.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/crystal-pepsi.jpg this one is what we had in germany,

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can tell this picture is of the 2015 remake because it has the stupid Peter Arnell logo on it

7 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

#2 played sonic on the switch last night. Took me back and reminded me that I still have no idea how to properly play that game. *sigh*.. good memories!

7 months ago | Likes 127 Dislikes 0

I used to have Sonic 2 so down I can get all the Chaos Emeralds in the first zone and then blow through like a speed runner. Now I listen to the OST's and zone out.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You gotta go fast.

This started my love of downtime music: https://youtu.be/RVAzxhh_cB8?si=03ZCeFVTjanu-5hV

7 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

First one is the hardest to me without the charge spin dash. I loved using the cheats on Sonic 3 to break it several different ways.

7 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I can still get all the emeralds in Sonic 2 before the second stages end. I love that game so much

7 months ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

the sonic 2 minigames are fun as hell

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I can do it in Sonic 3 but Sonic 2's emerald stages always kicked my ass

7 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Having Tails tag along is a big liability, unless you know the bonus stages very well.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The last 3 special stages can be tricky, but once you get the patterns down, they are a breeze. Im surprised they are still burned in my memory after all this time hahah

7 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The direction change in those pipes was painful cause you only have a little bit of time and the controllers wasn't always feeling like it.

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

yeah it almost felt slippery or once ya went full circle it was hard to control the momentum haha

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The stage theme is a song of terror for me whereas Sonic 3's takes me to a place of rage and serenity.

You're not alone, the cheat codes are still burned into mine. Ya haven't lived till ya tried crashing the game using Knuckles on a level he doesn't belong!

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh, breaking into the sound test menu and enabling debug mode and just filling the stage with tons of random shit until the game breaks will always bring me a smile.

Thats actually how I learned to memorize the last three special stages.

And oh, sonic 3s special stages were something else. The first few are fun, and then its replaced a dread and rage hahah

They sell canned versions by you? I've never seen that in my life, I need to check for that. When they first came back I tried a couple and thought they had less flavor and more of a soda water taste than I remembered, but of course nostalgia is involved.

7 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

They sell cases of it at my Costco!

7 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I've seen it in Wal-Mart for years.

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My ACME has always sold em

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

....did it leave? They have them at my local stores.

7 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I've been able to find it at Walmart next to the Walmart brand of flavored water for years. It's just not widely advertised.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In POG form????

7 months ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Only if it comes up Thrillho

7 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I didn't even know it was a nostalgia thing, I just thought it was bougie sparkling water that my job sells

7 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It’s more a fruit flavored soda than a sparkling water

7 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I'll have to try some then, it's just in the sparkling water aisle of Freddy's, and I'm not a fan of regular sparkling water.

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah this stuff has a fair amount of sugar in it. Less than a typical soda but way more than most sparkling water.

7 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Can confirm! Same taste and new flavors folks. CNE in 2023 was demo'ing old school bottles.

7 months ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

remember Orbitz soda? Yeah, that sucked.

7 months ago | Likes 73 Dislikes 0

It had a uniquely oily texture. Most soda doesn't have ANY kind of texture.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

sucked and you got to choke on some mystery balls.. they were preparing us for life

7 months ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

It was trash

7 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It was to prepare us to Bubble Tea by scale of difficulty.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

the orange one (mango?) was fucking amazing.

7 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Fizzy bubbly drink with rubber balls and no defined taste? Yeah, I remember!

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I always liked it. I'd filter the balls with my teeth while drinking, then shoot them all down at the end.

7 months ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

...there's soooo much sexual innuendo going on here.

7 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

I think there's a small amount at most

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They had a website. It was also trash.

7 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

My personal taste: Boba is just Orbitz. Didn’t like. Then, don’t like the rebrand now.

7 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

I was thinking the same thing.

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I had a Gateway before Dell bought and killed the brand. It had a top-of-the-line 350MHz Pentium II CPU and a huge 6GB HD. Played a whole lot of Myst, Zork, and Civ 2 on that sucker. It was cutting edge until the Pentium III came out two months later.

7 months ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 0

Pentium II... MMX? With MMX technology?

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh yeah. You could feel the power when you throcked the grass in Zork Grand Inquisitor.

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In Zork Zero, I think - before I could quite string together the patience needed to progress in these games - I was at the stables and just poking around, verging whatever nouns I could think to. So I tried to eat the horse, a verb I hadn't tried around too much, and got the response, "I don't think the horse would agree with you." Which, at the time, I thought meant the horse would prefer otherwise, not that my stomach would.

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Futureproof!

7 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Gateway was bought by Acer not Dell.

7 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I sit corrected.

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Gateway is also still a brand that Acer uses outside the US, so if you want some of that nostalgia you could try and get one of those.

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks for the info but the legendary Acer bloatware kinda makes it a pass for me.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I am exactly this old, holy shit.

7 months ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 0

I had that super soaker... But rollerblades were "new and weird" so I'm pretty sure I'm this old + ~7

7 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I too was born in 1980

7 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I'm hitting 40 this upcoming May, but my memories start at age 2 and stay pretty vivid so while I might've only been 3-4 I have actual memories of the California Raisins and NKOTB cartoons.
