Edit: Yay made Most Viral! I'd like to thank Jesus - the guy that makes me steak and eggs at the diner I enjoy going to. He's always got my back. Send nudes.

My wife was the only girl in our D&D group 40 years ago. I snapped her up. Fortune favors the bold. Married 36 years.

I hate that in movies the girl always 'changes' the 'silly nerd' so he has to give up all his hobbies and that's considered 'good'. Fk that.

My wife doesn't do D&D so she watches movies on Mondays when I play on Roll20. She even plays hollow knight on the switch sometimes.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wife likes reading. I like PC gaming. She reads her books on the sofa next to my computer while I game. We both like anything sci-fi & anime

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Same!

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

What movies are you watching?

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I love the accuracy of the characters. All the "movie" panels have thin, muscley, toned and attractive people. Real life is more varied!

5 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

And the nerd friends are needy jerks

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

anyone else notice the real life couple gets fatter and fatter? nice touch.

some of the artists from college humor and Dorkly have a YouTube channel that is fun https://www.youtube.com/user/Drawfee

Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? She’s playing Zelda and he’s off to play D&D...

5 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Open your books, Look up the stats and seeeeeeeee. I'm just a hunter, I need no Master Sword.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Because it's easy come, fight the troll, trow the dice, critical roll.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Which movies are they talking about?

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Step 1: Meet a nerdy girl.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Step 2: ?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Step 2: Find a way to engage in a meaningful conversation that elicits a response from said nerdy girl. No peener pics.

My husband and I both worked at the same grocery store. Another cashier was picking on me for being a nerd. Hubs told me he was reading 1/

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

GoT and learned I wanted to watch Breaking Bad. We watched it together. We've been together 7 years, married for 3. 2/2

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

*Nerd movies, it seems.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Still haven't found the one that likes Zelda but I think she's out there

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I like watching others pay video games (particularly LoZ) while I knit. I like playing VG, but I like knitting more

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's fckn RAAAW, Link!

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I haven't watch recent romcoms. Is this accurate?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I clearly think that was a model of the Death Star and not the millennium falcon.

5 years ago | Likes 89 Dislikes 0

Came down here to say the same thing lmao

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Considering it's mimicking movies, that probably makes it more accurate.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Weird. For the first three “The Movies” better described me and my wife. The last two followed real life.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Though it was Star Trek and not Star Wars. But close enough.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

While people should be open to change if you're with someone who insists you change your life they're probably not right for you (or anyone)

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Please do more of these. I have no frame of reference on healthy relationships b/c my parents were shit and I’m legit terrified of women

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I dont think id "compromise" (leftside) my nerdy obsessions for any man no matter how gorgeous. love me AND my pokemon obsession or no dice!

5 years ago | Likes 142 Dislikes 1

Check out 20sided stories on spotify. They do one called pokemon pen and paper and its amazing.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

WELL SHIT. WHAT DICE AM I SUPPOSE TO USE FOR DND?

5 years ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 0

Guess you gotta buy more dice, OH NO

5 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Oh nooooooo... How horrible.

5 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

As long as your obsessions don't interfere with your responsibilities and aren't unhealthy, you shouldn't have to give them up for anyone.

5 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

That part is only in the movie for the normies. A real nerd would leave you for throwing out a perfectly good gameboy.

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Yeah I used to be friends with someone who had the mindset you needed to throw out your hobbies for relationships. I don't miss that.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I can stand your Pokemon obsession, but do you really need so many Clefairy statues?

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

AND DON'T YOU EVER FORGET THAT! Never change the parts of your identity that bring you joy and harm no one.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You’re gonna love this Eartha Kitt interview. https://youtu.be/vyN3eBRYcDo

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Second a good adult size tyranitar kigurumi makes an appearance, damn well going to wander about in it on community day!

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I like that it's clearly Matthew Mc...Randall Flagg and Zoey Deschanel.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You make me drop my MF and I'll fuck your damn life up. That shit was NOT. EASY.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Wait shit, does marriage count? Oh my God, marriage might count.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Motherfucker? Minefield? Magic fairy? Multicolored fedora?

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Sorry, my Magnum Fucktron 3000. I should have specified. Real hard to keep that bad boy running.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Hate when you're about to cum but the diesel fumes make you pass out amirite?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It took me years to find my geek soon to be wife. Now mind you she is not a big gamer but loves playing Mario. Love this post. +1

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

all of these are opposite for me except the last one...

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

ree-lay-shun-ship? I don't understand.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Dude just trashed an OG Gameboy?!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wish I could get into DnD, my husband loves it so much. Just too complicated and not fun for me ? but I help with world building at least

5 years ago | Likes 67 Dislikes 2

Barbarian: 1) get angry and smack things 2) wait to smack while people are talking. It's boring though.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The fact you still help him even when you don’t enjoy the game is fantastic!

5 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 0

My wife loves Supernatural. I'm more of a Gundam gal. So I build models while she watches. We have plenty of other stuff in common. :)

5 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

And speaking as a GM and wife of another GM, having someone to bounce ideas off of is FANTASTIC! You guys sound lovely.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The best part is that that's still playing DnD.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I'm just saying I'd be a lot more amenable to learning if the DM wasn't clearly speaking with a fake posh British accent all the time

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There are DM's that like running story based games without complicated rules or characters, you could try and find an group like that.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

There are a lot of tabletop rpgs; If you looked into it, you could probably find a bunch that are as simple or complex as you want.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

You could look into less complex games like This Town is Full of Monsters, Lazers & Feelings, Monster Hearts

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If dnd isn't your jam may I suggest other table top role play games? Like most things there's something for everyone. Like less complexity.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Kids on bikes is a favorite of mine. Easy rules and everyone helps with the world building.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Honey heist is a great intro game! Simple mechanics and guaranteed shenanigans

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I will say a good GM is more than willing to accommodate players like you. At the end of the day it’s all about fun and the rule of cool.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

My wife and I met on a dating app. She saw I liked firefly and messaged me. We play video games together. 7 years together now with 2 kids.

5 years ago | Likes 548 Dislikes 2

Video game kids or real kids?

Cuties! <3

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Common interests are a good place to start a relationship. Much better than "We were at a bar, and I thought they were attractive"

5 years ago | Likes 93 Dislikes 1

My husband & I connected when I made a "death by snu-snu" reference which he picked up & completed. Geeks meeting geeks thru pop culture <3

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

My wife likes watching me play vidya bc she can't play well. Once we get internet again, Imma get her going on our PC

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

It helps when you play story driven games too.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

My fiancé and I met at a mud run through a friend. She confessed later than she was on the fence about going on a date until I mentioned D&D

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

My wife HATES games and I HATE Gilmore girls but we're both clingy. Guess who's playing retroarch with headphones on the couch with wife& GG

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Everyone has to have their personal hobbies. So they get some me time.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Which app and how do you say hello, asking cuz i have zero social skills, and am a recluse.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It was OKCupid. She actually messaged me first, which was refreshing. I've been told the system has become more like tinder, but 7 years 1/2

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ago it was just messaging someone after reading their profile. They made you fill out questionnaires to help in matching you with people 2/2

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But do your kids like videogames?

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Not yet, they're 1 and 2 years old.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sounds like they're old enough to hold an old controller and practice their dexterity.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nah, they're more into blocks and legos right now. Which is also fun. Maybe in a year or two I'll bust out the old NES.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I met my husband around 10yrs ago in Runescape. And we are expecting our 3rd kid.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

My wife and I met at a LARP. Happened to be the only other person playing my Order. My first words to her were "I love you".

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Want 3? I'm very adoptable. You sound like you have a better household than mine growing up

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Same! Except no kids! Just had our 1st anniversary. I go play gloomhaven or disc golf and she stays and plays Demon Souls.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This is legit my dream life

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This is almost exactly my wife and me! She commented on me liking firefly and star wars! Video games and everything nerdy together too.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I met my wife playing in the same D&D group 29 years ago :)

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Dammit, that’s beautiful.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I met my wife on a dating app. I said, WHAT ARE YOU DOING ON A DATING APP BRENDA? WHAT WILL THE KIDS SAY?!

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Up you go!

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

What app did you use if you don't mind me asking

5 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

TotallyHaram

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

OKCupid.

5 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

I found ny bf on Tinder, we've been together for three years now (:

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I can’t help reading OKCupid in the same tone as “okay boomer”

5 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 0

We used Hinge. I was on every app, going on nearly any first date that asked. We met and knew immediately. I swear it’s a numbers game.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Like you go through a lot of bullshit (I have at least a few volumes of bad date stories), but I think it’s worth it in the end.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Haha yeah, she went on a number of bad dates before she decided she'll message someone and she messaged me. I only went on one date prior.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yep lol same here. And if you have a lot of bad dates, people love hearing about them so social events get easier if you have a good humor.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Vibe Police here. Your post was investigated, and found to have...romantic vibes. You are awarded +1. I'm not lonely, you're lonely.

ACAB

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 18

But they’re not cops, they’re the vibe department. A vibe computer is the only thing working there and no one else.

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Do you use a vibrator as a knight stick?

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Could they really call themselves the vibe police if they didn't?

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well, your face is lonely!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I’m lonely ☹️?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm not lonely. I have a 1 year old that follows me around and cries when he can't come into the bathroom w/me. Can't wait to game with him.

5 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Adorable! Do they sleep through the night yet at that age? (I know that's random, I'm sorry)

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Can confirm what the other person said. Sometimes he does and sometimes he doesn't.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Depends on the kid. Mine: no.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

...I am lonely.

5 years ago | Likes 258 Dislikes 0

Hi Lonely. Nice to meet you. I'm not dad because I'm also lonely. On the bright side, my phone thinks you're "lovely" instead of "lonely".
