Most viral edit: I'm so glad I could get this far using nerd rage at video games. Thank you all you dumb nerds so much

The gameplay is fun in Kingdom Hearts. It's the game that got me into gaming so it's close to me, but fuck trying to follow the plot.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Fuck it, at this point I'd take it. As long as she doesn't draw or commission KH yaoi, that is. A guy has to have standards.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I too have a lot opinions on Kingdom Hearts lore. Namely the its one my favorite convoluted stories of all time

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Kingdom Hearts 379/5 X HD Memories by Distance 2.5 + 2.6 Re:Mix Unchained Final.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

+ χ

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is why the next words out of his mouth should have been, "What kind?", not "ALL ABOARD THE TRAIN TO BONE CITY!!!"

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Pound town bro, pound town.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I don't mind people having trouble with lore, because I wouldn't know it too much. I hate it when people go 'I won't play that, because IGN'

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Played the 1st/2nd when I was younger and they first came out, but this girl gets excited over too many other games to care about KH now.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm obsessed with final fantasy, I've played almost all. I've been playing xiv for a while now. I haven't got xv yet not sure if I want to.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I also have a lot of opinions on Kingdom Hearts lore.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I remember I loved playing Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, but I can't remember any of the plot when looking back, only some locations and gameplay.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Pretty sure almost everyone plays video games now

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Most girls I know who play vgs are into RPGs, I'm one of them. And none I've met likes sports vgs or FPSs. Personal experience, though.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My girl gotta run Unreal Tournament and/or Fighting games. Luckily, I found such a lady 18 years ago. She still say 'Get The Fucking Quad!'

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

No, sir, fuck you. KH is great.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Think about being on the other end of this, and finding out the guy doesn't like you only for the fact that you like a game he doesn't..c'mon

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's a dodged bullet. That guy is a loser.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I just can't get into JRPGs unless it's weird shit that isn't trying to be a FF clone, like Resonance of Fate, Nier, The Last Remnant, etc.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

i always wanna enjoy Dorkly. Shit is always hate opinions made into un funny comics, so edgy.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

If I had a dime for every dudebro who thought our mutual interest in 'video games' was enough reason to date me...

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

"You say you like video games, but always roll your eyes when I ask if you wanna play Madden."

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

UUUGGHHH, SPORTS GAMERS. Bitch, I don't even watch -real- football why do you think I wanna play a game about a game I don't watch or do!?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Exactly. I don't give a SHIT about sports and I'm definitely not going to play video games about it when I can be following great stories.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I just got myself a ps pro to get into that rpg goodnizz

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well.. at least she's not crushing candy or flinging fucktard birds around.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So all you guys agree who are also single and lonely AF. Next time try introducing her to games you like and find common ground and shit

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Reading this comments it's no surprise there's so many lonely dudes on this site

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's a lonely life when you won't settle for less than 10/10 with 60 FPS. Girl's a size 12 and owns a DS? Pffft.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I like Kingdom Hearts, though I've only played 1 and 2. I feel like the lore and story get disjointed but I enjoy it.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It's definitely disjointed if you don't play/follow the other games. Keep going like this and you'll be completely lost in KH3.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Kingdom hearts will always be one of my favorites. But this girl would rather talk about dragon age or the elder scrolls

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

If you're anywhere near Southwest Missouri, I promise to take you in a manly fashion.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Replaying the da trilogy right now, one of my absolute favorites

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How did you feel about DA2?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm currently playing an Elder Scrolls game right now! I think it's called "Fallout 4."

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Oh... Oooh noooo.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm just jokin, I have the Elder Scrolls collection on PC.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I know. I saw the humor in it. I was just carrying in the joke. :)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Are you offering a date?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I'm into KH, wife is more of a Skyrim player.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's more of a cluster fuck when you wait years between games. I just played all of them consecutively and everything made sense.

9 years ago | Likes 108 Dislikes 0

Chronologically or in order of release?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Order of release. I played them in the order they were lined up in the compilations

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wonder if extra context was added in the compilations to make it make more sense

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah. They are all the final mix versions.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm almost done with Chain of Memories right now. There's so much that makes sense now between games 1 and 2.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

they released all games on PS4. been playing through them again. really enjoyed this franchise, but i see it getting A LOT of hate here lok

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

It just needs to be experienced in order. Not the way they were released, and the story is actually pretty coherent.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

...wait you started with Birth By Sleep?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

BBS is the firat game chronologically, and should be played first

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah I know. Just surprised you did that. I played them as they came out, they were years apart of course

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

im playing them now chronologically, before i played all except dreamdrop and bbs in release order

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ehh... I've played all over the years and now again all at once, it's still ridiculously and needlessly obtuse

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean... at best it's horrifically explained. Did you know BBS is literally called that because nomura wanted "by" in the title. Not lore

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It'[s just so clear they made the story up as they went along, with no real franchise long plan. So many loose ends and plot holes

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Every franchise that's run this long has plot holes. Just look at the MCU. there may be loose ends, but they do great answering questions.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There are too many games and play styles for just "video games" to be common ground. My non-gamer fans don't get this.

9 years ago | Likes 1079 Dislikes 14

I don't get it

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"I love Candy Crush"

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

A good way to explain it to most people is to compare it to sports. A cyclist and a football player don't automatically have a connection.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Uh. But all sports are the same. Too much money spent on them!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I love one person FPS and RPGs, my SO had to drag me into trying League bc I hate online multiplayer. Im fucking addicted now.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But hes more into online multiplayer, I prefer games like CIV, Witcher, Diablo and Portal.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You would not believe how often I run into gamers, but ones who prefer single player/Japanese games over multiplayer/western games.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I'm with that guy. Kingdom Hearts is basically the ultimate fanfic game, and it's as bad as you would think it is.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Some heathens consider telephone mobile games actual videogames.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My co-worker plays video games. On Facebook.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

At work.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

When they aren't taking long shits

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

How do you know they don't play it while they shit?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's too effective, you gotta waste more time.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah! I'd have no common ground with someone who mostly plays FPS games. If they know and love the classics, I can talk with them easily.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This. I'm a girl who loves JRPGs, and play a bit of CoD with friends sometimes, but I mainly obsess over JRPGs. P5 has taken over my life.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Fuck yeah P5!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Love me some Persona! <3

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

For you, perhaps. :)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fans?

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

"I'm kind of a big deal."

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

>.< I meant "friends". Didn't notice til later.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I already feel like a douche for posting such a stupid comment.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I liked it.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

As someone who tried to date 1 or 2 WoW girls in my days, I get you.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Fps players, rts players, fighting gamers, rpg players, jrpg players, character action players...it's really diverse

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

As long s the "game"aren't just Farmville, there will be at least some common ground

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well, if you're playing a type of game I don't, on a platform I don't use... It will be hard to find a common ground.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You can't talk in general and zero interest im games you aren't currently playing?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

1) It's the assumption that gamers will find common ground over gaming, let alone have enough in common to find romance. Lots of gamers

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2) are really passionate about that one favorite game to the exclusion of others, and others are really polarized. If you play Marines and

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Of course I can, that's not what I said. I'm a pc rts/rpg/action/sim player. Don't have anything to say about console FPS for example.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What are "non-gamer" friends?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Right? What is this "non gamer"?? A person who does not play games? /a/Y7AED

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A person who doesn't invest a significant portion of their mental and emotional time into a game.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I love videogames. My brother loves videogames. We have nothing to talk about because I won't play FPSs and he wont play RPGs.

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Have you tried Destiny? Seems like that would be a great compromise!

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Can't wait til D2, looks like it has more MMO elements this time around

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I love this game!!!!! Spend way to much time playing

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have and i can tolerate it a bit, but i dont like FPSs and the story for Destiny wasnt great either

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yeah that story was balls. And it does play just like CoD.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's true. Listed that I like video games on my dating profile. I get CoD and Madden players all day.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Your fans?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Freudian slip. I meant friends. I have neither of either, just well-meaning relatives who try to introduce me to people.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Ahh okay. Honestly I first read the word as "fam" and went back to double check only when I realized "fam don't" doesn't work, haha.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think that's what slipped me up: I was writing 'friends', thinking 'family', and they mated.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Be careful when your friends and family mate. That can lead to complicated situations.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm a board gamer first and foremost and die a little inside every time someone says "Oh, like Monopoly?".

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Oh, like Small World, Munchkin, Talisman?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

SW is okay, Munchkin is awesome with the right group and I don't know if Talisman even counts as a game.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why do you say that? It's an RPG. With expansions. And a combat system. And dice. Isn't that like saying D&D doesn't count as a game?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Your choices actually matter in an RPG, in Tali you're mostly along for the ride the dice and cards offer you.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I used to love Monopoly but as I grew older, I found it inadequate. I ended up making a new game based off Monopoly City. Now I like RPGs.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

RPG boardgames or straight up RPGs?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Mostly Pathfinder Society (tabletop). I still play C:SL & Civ & other economic & strategy games on PC.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Though City Devs is much more fun & takes much less time than Monopoly. However, it's far more complex.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's like saying, she likes music.

9 years ago | Likes 78 Dislikes 0

I get what you're going for, but that's a bad comparison IMO. 99.99% of the population likes music.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

She likes music? *I* like music! WHAT IS HER RING SIZE?

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

1 1/2 fists

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My friend who loves music didn't date a girl cause she said her favorite genre was "alternative"

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Her favorite could have been much worse.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I just think it's funny how judgmental people on this site are while always bitching about being judged

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I judge that comment as being pretty judgmental.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

"She's into sports." Great, she follows semi-pro Highlands games and I like Olympic track cycling. Let's chat.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Like punk? Country? R&b? Pop? Folk? Metal? Various sub genres of metal?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Nah, she only listens to rockabilly. Should I have mentioned that first? Also, I told her you have 57 pointless tattoos, good luck.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

And if it's one of the metal minigenres, forget it. "You think Amon Amarth is Scandinavian Death Metal? POSER!"

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I obsessively play a fantasy RPGs until I exhaust it. In 5 years, I've played 2 games. I'm not gonna be best friends with your CoD bro.

9 years ago | Likes 383 Dislikes 4

I like all kinds of games, but people who obsess over kingdom hearts make me mad. Because Sephiroth shouldn't be played by LANCE BASS

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do you like ARPGS? If so check of Path of Exile

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Bonus: by the time you are ready for the next game, the deluxe edition with DLC is out and discounted.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

THIS.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've been playing a game called Northgard somewhat obsessively recently. It's fun, and I want all the achivements. :)

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It is fun! Did they add multiplayer yet?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not yet. It'll be interesting when they do. More clans, too!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'd obsessively play in your RPG fantasies for 5 years *winks with both eyes*

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I play a ton of different varieties but mostly prefer RPGs. More often than not I can hardly understand a thing half of the CoDBros say.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I've been playing FFX a few hours a week since it came out and I won't move on until I max everyone out. Not sure if that makes me a gamer

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

1) In some cases, all a non-gamer has to see is you playing one video game to say "Ron likes video games". Often the next step is

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

2) "My friend Howard also likes video games". Then they leap to the conclusion that Ron and Howard have enough in common to forge a bond.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

So have you played persona?

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I played the first one back in the day and really enjoyed it. I hear so much about 5 I'd love to try it, but it's not likely to happen.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thats legitimately sad. Well i hope you at least listen to the soundtrack.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I had a brain fart at gamestop and picked up witcher 3 by mistake (only have an xbox 360). Ripped the soundtrack before I returned it.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh my god, P5 is amazing. :D

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

A RIVER IN DRY LAND

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I almost exclusively play RPGs. Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Dark Souls, Diablo, etc. Cant stand CoD, but will play for sake of my friends.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Heh thats me too. RPG's for life. I think girls also play those more. Stories.for win.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A lot of CoD bros love fantasy RPGs though.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

i many kinds of games, i harbor opinions on many but i try to stay objective. Never played kingdom hearts nor FF because of my brother

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You sound like my soulmate. I focus on fantasy RPGs and that's mostly all I have played over many years.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Mass Effect fan here, can verify.

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Dragon Age fan here, feel your pain

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Mass effect is my favorite game series, hasn't stopped me from playing like 20 other games during the last 5 years...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Agreed. Also my favorite. But play many other games as well.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I like Obsidian more than Bioware

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Tyrrany or Pillars of Eternity?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

i've started pillars but finals got it in the way. I really want to get Tyranny though, its concept intrigues me

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2....badass game. I think that was Obsidian.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

trying out crpgs for the first time now makes me mad that i didn't try these as a kid. I would have absolutely loved these games then.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Most people wouldn't call you a gamer if you only play one or two games. Kinda like WoW players who only play WoW. They arent gamers, they

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

just like WoW. Gamers love all kinds of video games. Civs, Dunk Souls, Mobas, OW, Arma, old school emulator stuff.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

1) I'd say there's a difference between liking and playing video games, especially if you discount casual and mobile games. There's

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2) an economic barrier to entry for people who would love to play more games if they could.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

^^ this. I generally do not get along with people who only play first person shooters. Like, play ONE other game besides CoD. Come on.

9 years ago | Likes 106 Dislikes 9

Can confirm; I play Overwatch and Halo way too much, but since I also dabble in other PC games this puts me in an entirely different class.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

You play multiple games, so you're not who I'm referring to. I'm referring to the people who only play CoD and call all other games shit.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I jump between fps, mmorpg, survial building like rust and rts never been a fan of games like fallout, bioshock and such.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I play MMOs a lot but a l variety of other games.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What if I play CoD AND Battlefield? Huh, what then muchacho?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Then you at least are expanding a little?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'd need a masochist. You heard me. Dark Souls, bare fists.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Duuude, plus no armor. Git gud, scrub!

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Ceastus and hornet ring, and I'm ready to go!

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

And besides the non-gamers, lots of gamerbros make the same mistake of assuming a chick who likes games automatically has common ground.

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

"Ey baby I heard u like games" 'Oh, yeah! I'm a big fan of Nintendo- Zelda, Mario, and Splatoon are my jam.' "lol i only play cod #noscope"

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yup. Games are too diverse. Especially with Nintendo trying to appeal to the casual gamer crowd. Pretty much everyone is a "gamer".

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

I define gamer as a person who has gaming as a primary hobby.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

What 2 games?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Skyrim and Guild Wars 2. GW2 has claimed my life. In between the daily Guild Event and the weekend Raid Training, I play nothing else.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I never had a lot of free time to play multiple games. I only ever played Star Wars battlefront, age of empires, and Cod

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wololo

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And also too many degree of interest. Every time I meet a "gamer" it turns out they play games 1-2 hours per week.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Pfft, that's barely enough time to sit down and turn a game on!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Rookie numbers.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My thoughts exactly.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I like how the OC makes lady-gamer look crazy just for sharing her opinions. Isn't gamer-bro behavior in 3rd panel way creepier?

9 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 8

Gamers as a whole are a strange breed. (Myself included.)

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I think it's just crazy central in general & you are deliberately skipping over any possibility of her opinions being crazy. Why's that?

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

She doesn't express any opinions in the comic, just stated that she has opinions. That seems to be the punchline.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

It's implied that she's already talking about her opinions & they're crazy. At least that's what I got out of it.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

They all look crazy.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Why is this a bad thing?

9 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 5

It isn't.

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 4

Because if you only ever want to talk about RPG's and I only ever want to talk about action games, we're both going to have a bad time.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

It's so diverse now it's like saying "she likes movies" and it turns out she only likes live-action Eddie Murphy movies made after 1990

9 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 4

I get that but so long as you both have other things in common who cares?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Of course, but the *four panel cartoon* suggests that's their only connection.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thats what I was thinking, I've had this issue; I love shooters and RPGs and she loves Legend of Zelda games from the 90s. Pls

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well yeah, everyone should love Ocarina, Link to the past, and Links awakening cause they're amazing, but they shouldn't *ONLY* love those.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

(Even if only because Windwaker, A Link Between Worlds, Twilight Princess, and BotW are also spectacular.)

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Because some gamers are elitist and if you don't play the right game or type of game you're not a Real Gamer and not worth their time.

9 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 5

You're the one bringing the elitism in here. The comic is mocking the misconception that "games" are enough to be a common interest, until--

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

--you end up not liking the same games.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Elitist are boring. They can have their tops stats. I'm gonna play the game with friends and actually enjoy it without all the salt.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

The only place where I'm an elitist like this, is if someone calls themselves gamers for playing on mobile or just simple fb/flash games.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Those are games but okay

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And sometimes you just don't play games that have anything in common.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is a series I'm simultaneously entertained by and pissed off with. I enjoy the gameplay, especially KH II but fuck Chain of Memories

9 years ago | Likes 231 Dislikes 5

KH is the only series I just can't play. I don't get the gameplay at all.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

re:com is hands down one of the worst video games I have ever played.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'm a card games fanboy and I was obsessed with CoM...lowkey my favorite of the series but I get the hate.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I always get frustrated because CoM is my favorite story arc but the gameplay is dumb beans.

CoM was horrible for me until I treated it as a different game...then it was great. Dat spaghetti cthulhu abomination of a timeline tho.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

CoM was my jam, it was so easy. All you need to do was sleights and have a stack of zeros. Your opponents can't attack and you wreck them

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I hated Riku's version even more. At least in Sora's you can edit your decks and get better cards. But in Riku's, you're fucked.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Chain of Memories, the Mysterious Figure, Julius, the Vanitas Remnant, AND the Lingering Will can all stick pinecones up their asšes

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't forget BBS Captain Hook.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I really like the combos and stuff you can pull in re:CoM. I actually prefer it to the GBA version.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Chain of memories is the only one I can't beat because of how much I loathe the battle system. And Re:coded, but for different reasons

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Kh2 was my !st PS ever game back on ps2 and loved it. currently playing 2.5 final mix. and i play khux daily. Huge Kh nerd lol.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I thought the gameplay got way too flashy in KHII. I felt that KHI required strategy where KHII required button mashing and pressing ????

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Why do people say that? In KH1 MP recovering by attacking, aero and cure costing barely any MP and MP rage makes you practically (1/2)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

invincible. KH2 you're forced to manage your MP and on higher than Standard you need all tools at disposal or you're gonna have a bad time

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Furthermore, KH2 has intricate mechanics (eg. revenge value) and interesting bosses (post-game) that force you to use your tools effectively

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I know what you mean but if you ever try to do any of the final mix post game bosses or 2.5 post game you will get rekt with that mentality

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

that was my experience going into 2.5 after breezing through the main story on proud on the original release. I suggest watching this video

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

of how to defeat the post game boss rush called Data Organization XIII to get an idea of what it takes to defeat them I know

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

from experience that button mash does not work on them https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3M_lcWqm8HE

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

oh man, im playing re:CoM now... loved the gba one, but it is no good on the KH2 engine. loved CoM, but totally get the dislike

9 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

I kind of have the opposite opinion. I find the extra dimension helps, and it looks good.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

oh it looks great, but im halfway through and only just getting used to the style and dimension.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What is your favorite KH game? Just to keep this comment thread going.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i love the battle mechanics of 2, but original CoM is my favorite. i liked the battles with the orginization members. and the style was so

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Right? That game really worked on the GBA but on the PS2/3 remake it just wasn't fun for me.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

you need to grind for packs a lot more. enemy numbers seem stacked especially early on. once you get a deck thats good it gets easier.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

playing on ps4 on proud. its wonky as hell on the kh2 engine

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's nice to see a bunch of Kingdom Hearts fans with opinions like mine.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I loved it but my r shoulder button didn't work all the time so it was hard doing the limit breaks lol.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

that game catches so much hate.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I enjoyed Kingdom Hearts, but it definitely got a bit too ridiculous. Def. not the best, but still entertaining. I'm a FF and Dark Souls gal

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Have you played the board game?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've seen it! It actually seems to keep to the game fairly well, and appears to be quite fun.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It seems vert co op oriented which i love

THANK YOU. Jesus, it's like no one has any etiquette anymore.

Bethesda releases ftw. And Alien Iso. Damn thats a good game.

What's your stupidest dank souls death

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Dark Souls 2. No-Man's Wharf. The bridge in the very beginning after the bonfire. I completely missed the bridge and fell to my death. Twice

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I'd already killed everyone. I was walking.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

So judging by your taste in games you enjoy grinding and slamming people from behind on a regular basis?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh yeah, you know it. ;) I especially like playing Nightmare in Soul Caliber 4.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So add "utterly destroying them with no meaningful resistance" to the list? :P

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Abso-fucking-lutely.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A shame to disappoint then, you'll find my parries to be perfect. Can keep the inputs going for hours without pause.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So... do you have any opinions on the dark sluls lore?

9 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 2

Oh gawd! So much! I think that it is a meta narrative about what happens when you leave a game. When you hallow out, it's when you stop 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 3

Playing the game. The world turns to "darkness", and each time you return you light "the fire" to keep the games world alive. 2/2

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 2

God damn it not again!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Granted there is a level of connection between hollowing and the players own will to carry on. But it goes so much deeper

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think the whole thing is a metaphor for human life and the story is a distraction, come from fire towards age of dark, the world is

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

A big humanoid body and the humans are the microbes eventually killing it

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Anyone who takes it as meta or a metaphor is missing SO MUCH juicy lore, watch some vaatividya

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh yeah, definitely. That was just one of the parts of the game that really spoke to me.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Giving up and never playing again represents losing hope and going hollow.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh man, that was why I tried to finish playing 2. I was not going to let it make me go hollow and stop playing.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But you only get a glimpse of that through your literally almost "hollow" body (of memories and in body) 3/e

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've never been so attracted to anyone!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Haha, thanks?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

of the world is in ruins. Of course the bleak theme is established as such but it invokes of a world that used to be vibrant and pretty 2/c

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, that makes perfect sense. One thing I find interesting is how all the Dark Souls games take place at the end of an era, where most 1/c

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

@justme123 how did you like getting 0.0:0 time on that Chocobo Race mini game?! Or the lighting dodging fun?!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fuck that lightening dodge! Fuck that straight to hell!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But later you get to go see Wakka and Lulu's Baby! >->

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That warmed my heart so much! I sat there for a minute just admiring the situation.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I could have done without the theme of X2 but it was still a fun game. Replaying the remasters of them atm.

As an aside, please don't send me unsolicited dick pics... I will likely comment on how weird it looks and why you can't get laid.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Very original and typical pedestal mindset, you go girl.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you think you are on high enough of a pedestal to believe that everyone should see your dick, then I have no sympathy.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You are a hero.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I do what I can

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Okay as a complete FNG to Dark Souls, I've been wanting to play 3 but do I need to do the others first?

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Nah you don't, get it, play it, be consumed by it

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yes. The lore is very cool and it would be a waste of time (and ruin a lot of things) if you don't play the games in order.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

If I had to pick (it's like picking a favorite child), I'd pick 1 then 3 then 2. The difference in combat between 1 and 3 is pretty big. 1/

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

3 is faster paced, more like Bloodborne, whereas 1 is slower, more deliberate. The original and Bloodborne are both the best stories. 2/2

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well... yes and no? DS3 really ties the other games in well, and I feel you appreciate the little things more if you've played the other 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Games. I feel you could still easily play it as a standalone and thoroughly enjoy it, but I'd highly recommend playing the others first 2/2

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Awesome! Hopefully the first Dark Souls will be on the PS play where I can play it if not I'll skip.to 2. Any recommendations for builds?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I, personally, was a strength build, using the biggest weapons with the most power. It really depends on your play style and patience, 1/3

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you're playing 2, definitely go with a strength build on the first playthrough. Big weapons deal out tons of damage and stuns the enemies

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Except XIII... we don't talk about that abomination.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

I couldn't het 5 minutes into it, bought it used, sold it the next day

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I bought it new... kept playing, hoping for it to get good... beat the game and put it in the case, never to be played again.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Eugh. I remember the anticipation of playing the game, then the slow creeping dread of 'is this what the entire game is like'?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes... I was waiting for the open world, and then *boop* the game is over. It was more of a shitty movie than a game. So painfully linear.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It opens up in chapter 12. There are 13 chapters. 13-2 had the opposite problem. Flipping around the world and around time.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I couldn't get myself to play it... I wasn't going to waste my money again.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I enjoyed 13, but it had serious flaws...the biggest one being the pacing, second being the lack of variation in the battle system.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

That pacing... I wanted to enjoy it, but the linear story and no open world killed it for me.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

FF has never had an open world or a nonlinear story, though there were at least sidequests in the others. Not terribly fair to compare (1/2)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

FF 8 and FF 10 definitely had an open world.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

on that basis...but I can seriously enjoy extremely linear games, even with meh gameplay, if the story is good.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And by linear, I mean there was no option to do other things besides the main quest.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I enjoyed 13...it wasn't bad. Except Bitch Hope. Fuck him.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I am a long time fan, so I had expectations that weren't met. I'm sure as a standalone game, it probably wasn't as bad, but I was very 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Disappointed bc I didn't get what I had expected. 2/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thats true. But as someone who's played nearly all of the series, XIII defiantly ain't the worst.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

13 is one of the few FF games with a combat system though. I was replaying FF7 and its literally powersoul everything or cait sith limit.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I honestly am not a VII fan girl. I got my kicks from 8-11. The combat system was good, but the story was lacking. I have to have a story 1/

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In order for it to be a good game IMO. And the lack of an open world was very much divergent of what is expected of a FF game. 2/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

ah i'm the complete opposite I need good game play since really the only FF plots that I've enjoyed are 6,9 and 10

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

12 was planned to be open world, on a 2 year dev cycle. 1 year in new manage came in and said "we're shipping in a year.", so they cut...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Have you played XII, I'm wondering if it's good at all.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yes! Got the collectors edition, actually. I'll say that I was slightly disappointed with the ending, as it felt anticlimactic, but I did 1/

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I played 12 first time round on the ps2 it was soooo boring but my favorite is 9 well after 7 anyway

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My favorite is 8, which doesn't seem to get a lot of love.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Enjoy the ride, and I didn't mind the new battle system. I wish they would've worked more on character development as well. 2/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Amusingly, I think that the XIV MMO actually has the best (and most FF-like) story out of their recent offerings.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thanks I guess I'll pick up a copy when it comes out again.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Overall, I'd give it a 7.5/10.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

12 is my favorite 3D FF game. HD remake edition is coming out mid July, I'd wait for that one and try it, fixes a lot of the issues.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Awesome, getting this. My PS2 copy died right before the ending :C

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ohhh. ouch. To be honest the weak ending is one of the things this edition did not fix, alas.
