My dog was a dreadful judge of character. Bloody awful she was. Adorable as hell but woulda bit the hands of Jesus Christ and thrown them in Bhudda’s face as a warning. Smell of cat? Straight to jail. Smell bad? Straight to jail. Smell of meat? Did you bring it? No? Surprisingly, jail
Guy walks into his bedroom with a sheep under his arm and says, "This is the pig I fuck when you're not in the mood." His wife says "That's a sheep, you idiot." He says, "I wasn't talking to you."
So I met a woman on Tinder. On our first date she took me home and showed me her boobs. On our second date we had dinner at my house and loud sex. Then, as we were getting ready to leave (me to work, her to home) my dog started puking uncontrollably. So I left this woman - this near-total stanger - alone in my house and went to work until 7 am. I came home and found them curled up on the floor. Anyway our six year anniversary is next week.
Now that is a part wolf claim I can believe. Usually the head structure and eye shape are the easiest way to tell, and hers are just a bit "off". Beautiful girl! A banana for scale to see how big she is would also help.
Sheath tumor on her spine took her far too young, so no naner pics. She was 65lbs, I at 6' could pet her head without bending down. Softest fur in town and the best bed snuggler. Got 3 fire stations and a police station within 2 miles of my house. Sirens were common and I miss her howling along so much, I instantly get choked up whenever I hear them, even 2 years later. Oh, and she was the best foster mom to the husky pups when we had litters come into the rescue we volunteer for.
Aww! That's a sweet tribute to her in your description. Sounds like she tall and lanky, similar to my girl. I wonder if that was thr GSD in her or the wolf.
...not really. 1/8 is a pretty significant value. Any kids I produce will be 1/8 Irish and 1/8 German unless my partner is one of those two (And since my husband is almost 100% Northern European/Scandanavian, that's probably not likely)
Ha. I'm WELL over 50%, and my tribe let my mother die, writhing in agony, over the 40% of me that wasn't. If I'm not enough for my own kind, anyone who is any less sure as fuck isn't.
Anyone who tries to tout that, is a bastard and I want to extend a single finger to all of them.
I have yet to meet a tribe that wasn't rude to anyone who isn't 100%. So that's not special. My point is that knowing your ancestry can be useful for diagnosing medical issues.
I don't know who downvoted you, but, I feel like, this is one of those situations where I should provide some context
Our holocaust, unlike that of the jews, lasted over 400 years. They only stopped kidnappin rapin and killin our children, a year or two after my birth. They scalped us, for profit, like a WoW player collecting rat tails for 5 silver. They TRIED to enslave us, and put us in the cotton fields. We suffered the worst the white devils had to offer
(Also, I get what you're saying and you're 100% correct- but you know how people are, with turning things into some kind of ISSUE. I'd rather get ahead of all that, before people get side-tracked.)
If someoe doesn’t like dogs, I assume that they must have had a bad experience, or they’re allergic. When a dog doesn’t like a person, I question what kind of person they are for a good boy or good girl to immediately say “yea fuck no” to belly rubs.
To be honest, I've just become more of a cat person over the years. Plus, I'm a little desensitized. I'm in an area coyotes DAMN WELL SHOULD NEVER BE- and my first instinct is to wipe them out whenever I see them, before someones pet or child gets attacked. I'm not out in the country. This isn't their territory. Families are at risk due to their unwelcome presence.
...and as a result, after all these years culling the bastards, I'm just... NOT as big of a dog guy anymore.
Yeah, this is a super ironic behavior I've seen in my dog. According to a behaviorist I've spoken with, to a dog, anxiety/fear looks and smells the same as something priming to attack with the adrenaline spike and body tension. Many dogs will dislike the person because it makes them fearful or protective of their owner from potential attack.
Dogs can sense fear and will react badly to someone who is afraid of dogs. Not a good judgement I someone is afraid of dogs and a dog doesn't like them.
I always had a dog growing up, and I own an Australian shepherd now that I'm older, but I can say with confidence I will not be getting another dog. While they're amazing, they're very high maintenance and expensive (just to neuter alone was $700). Constant training, exercising, have to adjust my schedule or plans to accommodate the dog, have a whole routine when guests come over... in a lot of ways a dog is just not for me. And don't get my started on shitty dog owners... I will stick to cats.
Hated them or wanted to play with them? Just curious cause sometimes can be confused. My Lab thought hats were the ultimate toy, I could be sitting on the couch it would come up behind me yank off the hat and run. Went to sisters house, my BIL left a hat on kitchen chair, hanging on banister, and on the side table as you com into the house. He found every single one and were a toy. No idea where he got this. Hats were favorite toy.
I think it's hilarious when dogs are racist. Unfortunately mine is somewhat because he lives in a house of white people and has only seen black people a couple times. Each time he's been severely confused to the point he acts poorly.
Dogs are loud and they shed. Honestly, it takes alot to be a pet owner. I just don't have that mindset. I've had a dew dogs growing up. I have nothing against them, just don't want the responsibility of taking care of one.
It took getting a dog as an adult (had one all throughout childhood that I loved, but he was full grown when we got him) for me to realize that I am, and most likely will always be, a cat person.
I adopted my pup in 2010, I have straight up broken up with a girl because the two of them didn’t get along. You really have no choice, living in a house where your partner and your dog are constantly fighting sounds terrible and dangerous.
Correct ethical decision. You made a commitment to take care of the dog. Picking the girl over the dog would be like putting your kid up for adoption because your new love interest didn't want them (Sadly I know of someone who did this).
My dogs needed to come with me when I got married and moved in with the hubby. So many disagreements as he never lived with inside dogs. Within 1 year he was holding my dog under his arm walking around, hugging and kissing that dog. They much more prefer him now :(
Not mine. She sniffs everyone, and knocks everyone's shit off the table. Allows everyone one pet before walking away. Perhaps I've never had any shitty people over. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
