I doubt this would be very practical, even if one could come up with the formula on the fly and type it in without any errors, chemical equations get really long really quick, even at the speeds in the movie it would tank reaction time.

I think that only applies in biological systems that rely on enzymes. Chirality wouldn't affect chemical properties.

Structure can affect chemical properties even if it isn't a matter of chirality (hushpuppy... might perhaps learn as well here), and it absolutely matters outside of just complex biological systems. Compare for example butane with isobutane, or acetic acid with methyl formate. It also extends past the "chemical" properties, as we can for example see with pure carbon giving us diamond, graphite, graphene, nanotubes or buckyballs depending on how exactly we assemble the atoms.
