You’ve got this, I wish you well on your new journey. Being an Alcoholic fucking sucks for everyone. I did a ton of damage to myself and family before I fully gave it up.
Fuck yea keep it up!! Life gets better when you give up alcohol. Not easier, life will always suck ass, but know you're stronger than that. 1,035 days for me.
Keep going. You can do it. I am so happy with no hangovers and no bad partial memories. Still counting the days one at a time. I started with day 1 also. Day 1658 today! You can do it. ABSOLUTELY worth it.
I tried quitting so many times. I reset to day zero more times than I can count. I started seeing a psychiatrist and she prescribed Naltrexone. I stopped drinking the next day and never looked back. The temptations didn't disappear, but they became extremely manageable.
It was magic. I'm at 625 days. You got this. I believe in you!
I did it. Drank heavily every day for over 16 years. Except the handful when I was too sick. I’ll celebrate 6 years sober in January. You’ve got this. Reach out anytime.
It’s a 24 hour, 7 days a week zoom meeting for ALL addicts. It’s definitely helped me especially when that loneliness creeps up at 3am and I can’t sleep. Perhaps it can help you too?
I'm proud of you and wish you the best for the future! Still downvoting the comment. You may have made the best choice for your own life... but you're still double dipping.
Im on year 3 now and while it gets "easier" the craving can still hit hard. Be kind to yourself for feeling the want for a drink and never be afraid to ask for help.
Average beer 150 calories, average 6 pack, 900 calories. I can easily suck down a six'er every night no problem. So cutting out drinking is a good way to lose weight.
Same boat as you two, I don't like it, I've slowed down and it's pretty tough not to have number 3-4-5-6-7 a night. Now I only have 1-2 but only when I go out for trivia night or bingo night, it's a nice and weird change

Great start. You got this :)

You need to remember. If you drink again it doesnt mean you failed, it’s just a hiccup and you just stop again, and try for longer.

We believe in you <3 i wouldn't mind seeing a daily post similar to this one every day from you on here ^.^

Don’t do it alone. Find a group. So many people have been on this journey that will enlighten and be there for you. Support is everything.

Keep going. Everyone's different. Keep comparing yourself to your fiercest competition: YOU.

When it gets tough, remember that you are now some ones inspiration to start or keep going.... be that person!

Grats. I’m also at 4 days! Store closes in 1.5 hours. I’m trying to glue myself to my chair so I don’t go out.

Proud of you! Almost 3 months here. I was a heavy drinker for years. It isn't easy, but we can do this! I've lost a little weight too.

Definitely! I'm not proud to say it, but I easily drank a 6 pack about every night too.

2-8 drinks a night was easily the norm
