Bye bye Team USA. Even with their pedo president getting them special treatment from corrupt FIFA, Belgium trounced them 4-1

Way to go Belgium. I think most countries around the world (even a lot of USonians) were behind you today.
I might've thought team USA had honour to their name if they would've at least voluntarily benched Balogun for this match. They didn't, so I have little sympathy.

They didn't just lose, they got their ass kicked. That sparkled joy.

Congrats Belgium!

This indeed. I have no interest in Football, but I appreciate the synchronicity.

See you later alligator, in a while pedophile

As a USian, can confirm: Glad to see Belgium so decisively prove that ETTD

3 weeks ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 6

My gf said Trump robbed the USMNT the opportunity to lose with dignity. Brutal.

3 weeks ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

This is so true. It would have been remembered as a relatively good showing from the US if they had accepted the suspension and just gone out to Belgium. Now they will just be remembered as the team that got deservedly thrashed after trying to cheat.

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

If they had to go out this way I'm glad it was so big of a beating I don't have to hear from these chuds that only watch soccer during the world cup armchair experts try to grunt out why something wasn't offside or cry about some embellished penalty

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The harm is already done though. FIFA has shown that they can bend to the whims of the host. It is no longer a sport if it ever was, it's just a political game.

3 weeks ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

FIFA and the IOC have basically been having a competition to see which organization can be the most corrupt for decades now. If people weren't bothered by giving Putin the World Cup in 2018 or by Qatar using slave labor to set up for 2022 or that Saudi Arabia will be hosting in 2034, they ultimately won't care about this either.

Norway vs. England looks like it'll be a solid match, looking forward to that.

May the most deserving team win šŸ‡³šŸ‡“

Belgium looked a bit more fired up today. I wonder why that might be.

I had thought the USMNT (šŸŽ¶ USMutantNinjaTurtles šŸŽ¶) were gonna dominate the Belgians physically today, but it turned out to be boys vs men the other way around instead. Belgium were better than earlier in the tournament, and the US defenders took their role as hosts seriously and were incredibly generous šŸ˜‚

Not even US was rooting for US, just white hosue because someone there has stick up their arse. Bible states do not care about this sport.

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not tooootally convinced Africa would be rooting for Belgium even in this case :D :D but otherwise you are spot on

US here. Fan of US but we did not play a good game. Belgium played the best game they’ve played all cup and we made it easy for them. Great tempo, great possession and movement. We had all the makings to make it to quarterfinals (at best imo) and we shit the bed. Men’s Footballāš½ļø has always struggled in the US since most schools/scholarships are for footballšŸˆ and basketball. We have so much potential but not enough interest. And pres POS did nothing but make the world hate the US all the more.

3 weeks ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Belgium really played a strong game, but you're right in saying the US weren't at their best. But being prepared and ready to play at the right time are also skills vital to every sport. Given the hubbub around this game, happy Belgium won resoundingly.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Maybe it's hard to be fired up and motivated when there is clear corruption being used to benefit you.

The coaching staff fucked up by not benching Balogun, the team would have something to prove and have been in a better head space.

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Everything he gets involved with goes to shit.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The best outcome by far. I am stuck in the shithole US and would like to congratulate the Belgians on a win at a key moment. A proper shellacking is the icing on the cake.

3 weeks ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

As an American, good, got what we deserved for fucking with the rules.

3 weeks ago | Likes 128 Dislikes 7

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It was perfectly within the rules and the right decision.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 16

You lost your crown, king

3 weeks ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

It wouldn't be a particularly controversial decision as it has precedent, if Donnie Dumbass had just kept his mouth shut and let FIFA take responsibility.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hope FIFA gets theirs soon.

3 weeks ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Honestly the loss is a better outcome for us than a win with a giant asterisk wearing a bad toupee would have been

3 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

As a guy who hates soccer, good. This is going to set soccer back in the US 10 years.

3 weeks ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 9

Lol no it won't.

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Ah, World Cup Fever. I remember when it hit in '94. Buddy of mine told me that soccer would inevitably be the most popular pro sport within 10 years in the United States. I would argue that it is no more popular today than it was then and, in fact, it's been overtaken by women's basketball. Every few years there's a blip during the World Cup or olympics, and then football season starts and most Americans go back to ignoring soccer.

Trump turns everything he touches to shit

3 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It costs nothing not to be a dick.

3 weeks ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

just sucks because there's been record excitement and Trump+FIFA had to take a short sighted shit on that

3 weeks ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

I just hate people are undeservedly taking it out in the team because our dipshit pedo had to stick his grubby fingers into it.

3 weeks ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 5

"Underhandedly" The team could have not run the player who was suspended. Don't pretend like they're innocent. FIFA's president handed them a way to cheat because Trump asked him to and instead of rejecting it (like good players with morals) they said "oh, thank you!" and grabbed the cheating opportunity with both hands. Screw them.

3 weeks ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

It's not cheating. That role is on the books and has existed for decades. FIFA used it just a month ago to make sure Ronaldo played

The only villains here are Infantino and Trump/cronies. The lobbying was fucked up and sketchy.

Talking the "moral high ground" and losing would have gotten the coach and players crucified by every analyst and pundit.

Ask the Democrats how well the moral high ground works instead of using the precedents that are established.

3 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

"It's not cheating, it's just taking an unfair advantage over other teams handed to them by a corrupt official" is the most "you can't be helped to understand, I'm sorry" thing you could say my dude. Best of luck.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The team could have benched the player... But they accepted the corruption. They are complicit.

3 weeks ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

The VAR was legitimately improperly used. Balogun really should never have even been suspended in the first place. Two wrongs don't make a right, though. And now it all spiraled out of control. Super sad for this team

Well, Belgium's just lucky Trump didn't take center halfback himself. He's in excellent shape, you know. Very athletic.

3 weeks ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

despite the bonespurs.

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah, an excellent shape for the ball

3 weeks ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Can he still keep the FIFA Peace Prize?

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Trump caused the knicks to lose their 3rd game and cause the US to lose any chance of the world cup. Postus is a jinx.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm surprised that Trump didn't issue Balogun a presidential pardon and think that it would work.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you support the World Cup (i.e., FIFA) you realllllly don’t have a single high horse to be on. Yes, Trump embarrassed the US on the world with his crookedness, but it takes two to tango and FIFI gets along very well with Trump.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He already said he is going to do just that

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This kind of thing is what I hate most about Trump. In 2002, we were doing well in the World Cup. I was in a NATO class in Italy and SO many foreign troops wanted to chat with me about how well we were doing. We sat in a cafe and watched the games and every time the US would score a goal, they all cheered.

Now it’s just like, let’s just get out of the tournament already because the whole thing stinks of corruption and it’s making the US look SO BAD on the world stage.

3 weeks ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 4

Nobody cares mate.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 29

Hahahah you've commented all over this thread, if anyone cares here, it's fucking you, lmao.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You haven't figured out my position yet? I mean I've commented all over the thread, I wasn't hiding anything.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

The US team impressed in a couple of their earlier games. They were so poor today, do you think they may have been rattled by the controversy?

3 weeks ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

I have to believe it did. The first and third goals in particular were absolute clown shoes, just gifts delivered with a smile

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yes, wouldn’t that demoralize you? It would do so for me.

3 weeks ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I mean, maybe? I didn’t watch today because I was so put off by the string-pulling. I can’t imagine the team was unaffected, right?

3 weeks ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

They were incredibly sloppy in defense, gifting Belgium three of their goals. The Belgians did look better in this game, though, and won very deservedly.

3 weeks ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Burger here. The call on Balogun was bullshit, Trump getting it reversed is corrupt, and Belgium beating us anyways is basically a perfect outcome. Congrats to the waffles.

3 weeks ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 4

He stepped on a guys ankle it was called and red carded several times this tournament.

3 weeks ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 4

What could possibly motivate you to make shit up like this? What's the point?

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 14

Stepping on an ankle is not an automatic red card. Context matters and that var review lacked context.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The red card wasn't bullshit. I wouldn't have been shocked had it been a yellow instead, but giving the red was not wrong.
He goes into a challenge for the ball, coming into it from the back, landing with the studs of his boot high up on the back of the other players calf, thus raking them downwards and finally landing on the opponent's twisted achilles/ankle. I don't think he meant to cause harm, it wasn't extremely forceful, but it was reckless, and intent doesn't matter.

3 weeks ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 6

He didn't go in for a challenge though. The Bosnian player approached from behind. What can Balogun learn from that to play safer? It was not a dangerous play. Watch the 5 seconds leading up to the play rather than just the ankle step slow mo

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Why do you feel the need to comment if you don't watch or play?

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 12

"nOboDy cAreS mAtE". HAHAHAHAHA you're down here too, caring all over the place. rofl

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What's your point? Caring is usually considered a good thing.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've watched football for almost forty years and played a lot of it through the years. You are free to disagree with my opinion on the matter, though, isn't that wonderful?

3 weeks ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Then don't lie, it's really not that hard.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

What are the chances he comes out and says it was rigged?

3 weeks ago | Likes 195 Dislikes 3

Who cares? You need to stop obsessing.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 20

100%

3 weeks ago | Likes 104 Dislikes 0

It's actually 1500% if it's related to trump

3 weeks ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

600% in old money...

3 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It’ll come out later that he was on Kalshi betting large sums for Belgium cause we all know trump hates America and only cares about himself

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He already said if USA loses, it’s rigged before the game was even played

3 weeks ago | Likes 72 Dislikes 0

He said it was "Rigged just like the 2020 election". In other words, not rigged.

3 weeks ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 0

The 2020 election WAS rigged, problem was: it wasn't rigged "enough" for it (the trump thing) to win

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It was rigged.... He rigged it, but it was not enough.

3 weeks ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Already did.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I bet there is a betting app that has this wager.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He already set that up.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

... I mean... the referee was a Bosnian citizen.... he could use that I guess.... you know the country, against who the US got the red card.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

1400, 1500, 1600% !!!

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They said that even before the match.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I’m going to guess he will quietly let it go with a possible snarky comment or two.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hey, they found six US goals in the garbage in Georgia, ok? Obama and Biden are communists who rigged the world cup, and Trump is going to invade FIFA.

3 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

how dare they kick the ball in more times than them /s

after a red card was called on a US player, Trump said it was unfair and FIFA reversed it at his whim.

3 weeks ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

One of the members of the USA team was red-carded, and banned from further games. Trump called the FIFA board, and they re-instated the player. This is blatant corruption.

And yet, the USA still lost.
