The majority of skinheads are not racist. The original skinhead movement was black and white blue collar workers shaving their heads in solidarity, it was to look the same. And yes it was punk, hardcore, reggae, rocksteady and soul as their musical tastes and still are. Then groups like the National Front co-opted the look and from there neo-Nazi skinheads started to appear. I'm a Black, Japanese and Hawaiian guy in his zero percent White, in my 40s who grew up in the punk/hardcore scene.
