He apparently kept a personal copy of the VHS and made his friends watch it constantly because he was so proud of it. He would always ask them if they liked his performance the first time, and was very proud when they did.
I love that not only did we get such a great movie, but due to the actors all being talented AND genuinely decent people, we also get extra stories, delivered affectionately as they protect the legacy of Andre (as well as the movie itself).
Fun fact: Andre once crushed so many beers that he passed out in a hotel lobby. He was so heavy they couldn't move him, so they just draped tableclothes over him and waited for and let him sleep it off.
I would support a "remake" that has Fred Savage playing the grandpa reading to his grandchild, and the rest of the movie is unchanged, because he's reading the same book.
I really wish someone would make "Dead Like Me," and do it justice. Such a good idea, such a good setting and concept that just got abandoned, it seems like.

He's super nice. He was fantastic as a profiler in "Criminal Minds", but eventually left the show because he was worried that the show was "celebrating" serial killers.
Sometimes, sharing does not work. That's life. At least you found a series which you really enjoyed. For me, it came by at the right time in my life. Because of it, I like Mandy Patinkin more, and though I don't want to visit the States, Waffle House became a thing for me. Most important was that this show send put that life doesn't always happen the way you want, but you can learn to deal with it.
