Went to check on my basil that I forgot to water and noticed this guy. Took me several minutes to realize what the hell was happening. Pretty sure he noticed me, but he couldn't very well stop molting to hop away. It's awesome how closely his fresh melted color matches the basil.
I used my shiny new 200 MP camera on my 23 Ultra. Still couldn't get the melted part in focus very well. Should have use the pro mode so I could control the focus and everything else manually. Now just need to find more miracles of nature in my back yard so I can finally become a National Geographic published photographer.
