The specs of the new laser

My corner

The old laser

I still prefer the old girl for some jobs

Your avg piece of paper is .004 inches (0.1mm)

Spring steel, we have even thinner but I cant laser it, too flimsy

Some of my parts (carriers)

This tiny and thin part can be a real pain

I made this for a friend

Stainless tombstone I made for a friend

I made that bumper from scraps of 1/4" plate steel. I did not make the bar over the top though

CSI machine shop. Tonights episode, WTF did 1st shift put in the oven?!

Took me longer than I care to admit, Im welding the rear bumper currently.

You have to fix stuff to use it all the time

This is a broken wafer. Should've been about 12" in diameter. This is how microchips are made. Each one of those squares would've became one.

That wafer under a stereoscope

20x I think, hard to get a clear pic with a cell phone in the eye piece

Testing a tombstone design. That took FOREVER to draw in cad. He was a good boy, totally worth it

I've had parts with a 2.5 micron tolerance, this keeps it in perspective. That um thing means micron (1/1000 of a mm)

Anyone else hate stink bugs?

Bonus! machinist porn
