You need to have completed the Lumbridge & Draynor elite diary if you want to use fairy rings without a dramen staff

You have to walk backwards through the gate.

"Elves are wonderful. They provoke wonder. Elves are marvellous. They cause marvels. Elves are fantastic. They create fantasies. Elves are glamorous. They project glamour. Elves are enchanting. They weave enchantment. Elves are terrific. They beget terror.

The thing about words is that meanings can twist just like a snake, and if you want to find snakes look for them behind words that have changed their meaning.
No one ever said elves are nice.

Elves are bad." – Terry Pratchett

Be careful with faerie rings, cause one might end up in one of the fae courts that will see you as a new [some concept that we cannot ever hope to understand]

Skyclad?

The artist always draws her avatar naked (well unless clothes are needed for a gag).

2 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Cool! I figured the character was doing everything in their power to open the mushroom gate.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

rookie mistake, you forgot the dramen staff

2 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

I went scrolling for this because I was gonna say it if no one else had

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Have you completed the Lost City quest? Do you have a Dramen staff or Lunar staff?

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I like the Hilda show had an episode and it's about how the kids want to see one until they find out what they're really like and the mother is terrified of them

Nah, that is a Smurf village.

This feels like a prelude to the "you cannot kill me in a way that matters" Tumblr post. https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/you-cannot-kill-me-in-a-way-that-matters

Every time I read this, I mean, I get that with a gun you can't do shit to a mushroom, and that 'Decay' is something that all life must face... But I'm curious, fire can obliterate mushrooms down to beyond their spores and ability to maintain themselves. So using FIRE could kill it in a way that matters right? So the fact human's WIELD fire means we can kill them in the way that matters or is that the fallacy that Human's Hubris is we THINK we control Fire.... And all it takes is an unguarded /1

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

moment and then Fire comes for us as well? 2/2

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think it's more that the party above ground is only part, and it permeates the dirt in such a way that we'd have to obliterate a huge amount of soil to "be sure" and just the process of digging it up would spread the spores...

Hmm, Delicious Mushroom or Deadly Poison?

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Uncle Iroh would be slightly disappointed no one got the reference.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Deliciously deadly.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Crud, I misremembered, It should have been Delectable.

That looks like amanita muscaria, which is very toxic, so deadly poison, good rule of thumb is if you arent sure, leave it

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Or ask the mushroom for help.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A. muscaria isn't particularly lethal, although it will make you sick (it can be safely eaten if you boil it twice in water, although I don't think it tastes particularly good). Amanita phalloides, the destroying angel, is the one that will kill your liver if you eat even a little bit. And, supposedly it is in fact delicious.

How do they see to have facial expressions of a DreamWorks character?

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hey, isn't that the owl alchemist?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It is!

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I sat and watched this for several minutes before I turned the sound on. Is she the one who does a skeleton thing? Looks like same facial structure, expressions and mannerisms?

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

She's more renowned for being Juniper the Owlchemist

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Not sure? She's done a lot of cosplay and such videos, so that could be in there among her other stuff. Voiceovers like this are a pretty common 'thing' on TikTok, etc., however, so it might be someone else. https://www.youtube.com/@MissTwisteddd

The skeleton thing pops up here closer to Halloween every year, so I'll wait, watch, and see if anybody recognizes her in that guise.

Or this?

(Not thinking they are the same person iust wondering if those were the people itching your brain)

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I used to think these pretty circles were because there was once one mushroom in the center and it evenly distributed its spores.

Now I think it's because there was a large plant (or tree) there and the decaying roots are helping feed the mushrooms on the outermost perimeter of their remains.

Either way I have a mushroom ring on my front lawn and I love it but I can't dance naked in it or the neighbors will get angry. : (

To my understanding... Kind of. The fruiting body is not the whole organism, it's a mat of mycelium that's underground. Like.. imagine you (starting as a spore) live underground and to reproduce you poke your dick above the soil. Once you're big enough — you've got dicks on your hands, feet, scalp all poking above ground. Yeah, you're the same organism, but you didn't start as 1 penis.

Fuck your neighbours. In the fairy circle.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Have you invited them?

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Are you sure? Have you tried?

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If you are in the US, you can be naked on your own property anytime you like as long as you are not doing it in an attempt to sexually arouse yourself or others. Your neighbors should just not look in your yard if it bothers them. Having said that, I would avoid being naked around children regardless.

Used to answer 911 calls from ppl complaining about the next door neighbors having sex in their own (the next door neighbors) backyard or hot-tub. Who the heck has sex in a hot tub?!? That sounds like a terrible place to have sex to me. Blech

I think it's like partly trying to join the "Mile High Club" (it's a trope), and partly because being in water and skimpily clad makes us forget things.

...things like how water is terrible at being a lubricant, for instance. : )

Close! They form those circles because it’s all one organism. The mycelium underground reach out and beak down nutrients in the soil and then grow outwards. You can usually even see this when the fruiting bodies are. The grass will be greener just outside of where the mushrooms pop up because fungus does its digestion outside of its body, letting the grass get access to the nutrients as well.

Thank you. : ) I have an above-ground-centric paradigm and failed to think of the obvious because it was in my big dirty blind spot. : )

Also, the fae.

Mushrooms are as mysterious and weird as fae.
