I'm by Olympia and a lot of the homeless here are by choice. The alleyways are lined with needles.

North of border in BC, same problem. Low barrier shelter beds available, several large tent cities destroying parks and neighbourhoods.

A lot of addicts don't start with heroin there pal, usually with prescribed medications. Addiction is a disease not a "lifestyle"
