Upvote for criminally underrated 'Book Of Life'

At risk of looking incredibly ignorant...who are his parents?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Xibalba and La Meurte, from The Book of Life, a visually similar movie but CGI.

Thank you! I've been meaning to check that movie out and now I have even more reason.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Beginning and end (the reason why the story is told) is a little weak, but the rest is solid, good music, good comedy, definitely worth it

Just wait until she pulls off the sandle.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wait, did she just suplex her husband? Dios mio indeedo.

9 years ago | Likes 89 Dislikes 0

Looks to be a German Suplex, at a glance. Lovely bridge, in any case.

An RKO is a jumping cutter. What she did is a suplex.

Suplex City, bitch.

I always pictured Jack and Sally's son as the cobbler from The Thief and the Cobbler

9 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 0

My #1 most favoritest movie ever!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

for anyone wanting to look up the Thief and the Cobbler, look for the re-cobbled version, the released version is bad, art great but bad

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

the released version does have amazing lines for the thief though XD.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

that the only thing i laughed at... that and Vincent Prices rhyming all his lines, miss that guy

+1 for Richard Williams

Dude! I see it now!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you liked this you should watch The Book of Life. It's an animated children's movie but it honestly isn't bad at all....

9 years ago | Likes 235 Dislikes 2

Thanks. I didn't know of that film. Will check it out.

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I was impressed with how good it actually was.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

better than the Disney one: Coco.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

watched it twice, loved it both times. might watch it a third time

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"Honestly isn't bad at all" = freaking great

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I looove you too much, to live without you living me back.... I love that movie :)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was actually very disappointed in it. I was completely in love with the art design.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

But it was just aimed at too young an audience for my tastes. And good god, Ice Cube just ruined it.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yeah, the plot wasn't that amazing, nor the dialogue. But I bought it anyways for the art.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

the premise was good, but it just wasn't executed in a way I was satisfied with.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Kinda obvious that's what this is from...

9 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 74

Considering one is a pretty big film pop culture wise and the other I don't know of no it isn't.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

But 1. That's not what this is from. This scene never happened. And 2. They were telling people who didn't know that to watch it. 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Because people who haven't seen it, probably wouldn't know what it's from.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

ya it really is especially the huge sombrero

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 5

Really? Did I see source anywhere? Also two of those characters aren't from that movie.

9 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 5

Saw it on fb, posted it here cuase I figure people might like it, it does what many do and combine 2 movies with some similarities

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 45

I freaking cried during that movie, made me sob like a baby

9 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 0

Really? I'll have to go watch it then! Even thought it's midnight... and I got stuff to do tomorrow...

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you can forgive AND if you can Forgive, Love can truly live!

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

... well fuck you very much, now i gotta go watch the hole movie again!

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

IT'S ALWAYS A PARTY!

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Just watched it, and it was great! But what part made you cry, exactly?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Probably when he sees his mom again in the afterlife, just killed me fam

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, that did hit me hard. Also

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The reveal that Maria wasn't down there. And when his father suddenly popped up. The movie had some moments. Great mix between funny and sad

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Implying that animated children's movies are generally bad?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

generally, yes.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What children's movies have you watched? I know some are dreadful & some are dull for adults, but generally there is a high standard.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

search kids movies, theres far more than the big 3 (disney, dreamworks, blue sky).

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So true! Aardman, WB, Hannah-Barbera, Toei, Cartoon Saloon, Studio Ghibli, Laika; many studios creating quality animated films for kids!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"those movies dont count they're knock offs or bargain bin garbage" are still considered kids movies, and theres an assload of them.
