I haven't had an anti virus program for two years. I pirate. I have never had a problem that couldn't be solved by googling.

I just run Combofix once a month.

Always up vote Combo Fix. Malwares Bytes also.
Like pouring bleach on a cut, sure it may be a little overkill but it'll be clean.
Carry both on a flash drive so can fix issues at work. Works well.
I did that to fix my bosses system, he aborted the test halfway through then got mad cause his internet stopped working.
Co workers (Boss included) know better than to do anything but call me and wait.

I would suggest using something else other than Norton or McAfee
MatureNavajoBitches
or AVG....
What do you recommend?

I recommend advanced system care and iObit malware fighter. They are amazing.
Avast or Malwarebytes... I've used Avast for a long time, then switched to Malwarebytes.
Thanks for the head's up.
NotPolarBear
Use BOTH. There is no reason not to, since they're free.
