This works really well until the cheap piece of shit blade develops a burr and then it just tears all the paper. If you can't figure out how to do the slidey-slicey thing with a pair of scissors, then just invest in a nice Olfa roller cutter.

There are printable models of this thing. You have to buy the blades seperatly and they are replaceable. These models are also used to create the one you can buy at bezos shop, but they are modified by the chinese sellers, so you can't replace the blades.

Thats a simpel stainless steel razor you cant sharpen them if they are dull they are trash one could switch to a new one but wont help much with this trash cuttet
I wonder if it would work with plastic foil. I work in textile printing and we spend a lot of time cutting rolls of DTF prints for heat transfer from rolls into individual prints.
This looks decent for splitting a 15-20 meter long roll into manageable strips.
Idk. I think it's a YMMV thing. I got one and it works great, but I do use the Brown thick paper for gifts (I prefer the brown paper aesthetic). It's useful for that. Do agree that thinner paper is more difficult to use it with.

We have an old Graphtec CE6000 plotter, but setting it up to do these jobs automatically seemed impossible so far.
We use it to cut vinyl stickers and flock film.
