Why did the video get cut? And why did the roast get cut?? I want to see the finished product!

I thought he left the plastic in

1 year ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 1

A lot of sausage is made with edible plastic instead of stomach lining now so it wouldn’t be out of question.

Social media gimmick food.
Just cook the meat it's already delicious.

A lot of these super foods I call them have greatly lost their appeal to me. Like I'd love a large plate of nachos but like I don't need 10 pounds of them with every type of meat, 15 different cheeses.

I don't know you, but I like you. Been butchering going on 6 years, and my immediate reaction was "that's actually a really nice loin, why are we fucking with it so much?" If anything, a loin that nice will be way too rich with all that extra stuff. I'd get two or three bites in and call it a day.

1 year ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 3

This was my takeaway too. Went real fast from "Ok, we're trimming a tenderloin" to "well now he's ruined a good tenderloin".

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Some of you are really fucked up if you thought that......... I'll make room in the gutter..

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

I was ok with this till the green stuff! The green stuff disturbs me!

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Didn't realize that you can roll-cut meat! Normally I see people cutting like this for cucumber for sushi, or daikon for miscellaneous. If you want to cut meat like this at home... look up the 12" Kiwi butcher knife (I think somebody on ebay or the like sells 'em in N. America) and Godspeed you! Meat Emperor

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The way was cut removed the fat and flavors... Now fix it up with bacon and cheese... No thank you

I have an idea for similar but a reverse chicken cordon Bleu. I just don't have the friends to eat try it with me

I appreciate his skill and technique but, yuck.

There's still plenty of meat on that bone. You take this home, throw it in a pot, add some broth, a potato. Baby, you got a stew going? https://media2.giphy.com/media/v1.Y2lkPTY1YjkxZmJlYXM3aXVxN3Z5cmlmc3N0bDUybGU4ZHNqYWt4bTk2ZGgzaTBkdTBkMCZlcD12MV9naWZzX3NlYXJjaCZjdD1n/HxaWlydgUtfVd8nVV2/giphy.mp4

Is this making the ribeye better… sad.

I need to see the finished product!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It always bothers me seeing someone sharpen a knife (I know it's a steel/hone) without wiping off the blade. There's micro metal shaving on the edge and that's going to get transferred to the meat. Try it out, sharpen a knife, then wipe it on a white paper towel, them look at the metal particles, your welcome.

Your body is FULL of microplastics so yeah man calm down

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 7

Grill brushing is more scary for me. Maybe I use cheap brushes but I've seen those bad boys laying on the grill after...

Bonus iron

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

crush up some cereal that's been fortified with iron then run a magnet next to it; it's not that bad

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

So you’re saying cereal is fortified with flecks of metal iron shavings(Fe) and not ferrous sulfate (FeSO4), digestible iron salt compound? Ferrous sulfate is generally not magnetic.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Basically. It's not "shavings" but it's a fine powder. A quick google search for "magnetic cereal experiment" will show you plenty here. The human body deals with iron pretty well.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Same. I rinse them, then wipe on a cloth before use. I show my kids why it's important.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I usually calm myself down by remembering there's that man who ate a plane and a few bicycles so a few shavings wont kill me, I can digest them. (still i wash it fanatically under stream of water every time)

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's true, but it's always necessary to clack your tongs while grilling

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well my doctor told me I have an iron deficiency, so I guess I'm fine with extra knife shavings in my body.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm paranoid as hell about stuff like this. When I sharpen a knife I end up rinsing it and wiping it down like 5 times afterwards.

1 year ago | Likes 61 Dislikes 2

Oh, im not the only one!

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Well crap.. I didn't know that was a thing.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Try it on your knifes, sharpen/hone then wipe it. You'll be like .... Ewwww. I do a quick wash after sharping them. Maybe it's a bit of OCD, but I don't like tasting metal.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Makers of iron supplements hate this one simple trick!

1 year ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 1

That’s why I sharpen my knives on an electromagnet, that way I don’t have to take the time and effort to wipe it down.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

But, How DO they work?...

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hone shouldn't be doing that, a hone realigns the edge, it does not abrade.

1 year ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Depends on the kind of steel. If you’re using a polished steel, then you’re fine. Steels really aren’t supposed to be removing material, and if you’re using one of those godawful ribbed steels on your knife, you deserve the metal shavings for hating on your knife. And if your home had abrasive coatings on it, then it isn’t really steeling at that point; it’s just sharpening/grinding.

1 year ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

You're right about the ribbed being awful. (Phrasing) I seen my sister try to sharpen a ceramic knife with one of the ribbed steel, it was like nails on a chalkboard, not that it was loud, just the act of trying to sharpen with that made my eye twitch and brain freak out.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

When I started to learn to sharpen knives, I bought a microscope to really try to understand what was going on. I experimented a whole bunch, and also did some before&after with the ribbed steels. I was appalled at how much it chewed up my edges. Absolutely useless.

Micrometal better than microplastics

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

I always wipe my blade with a paper towel after sharpening it, 1) because I don't want little bits of metal in me and 2) to see if it worked

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

So many people worried about tiny amount of iron filings. I would bet money there's more iron in a single bite of corn flakes.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

bro i stopped even bothering with people like this. let genpop go around thinking the food they get from restaurants is surgically clean. if wiping their freshly sharpened knives is the fetish that convinces them they are living additivefree lives, then knock themselves out. same people usually be eatin ass, but iron filings gonna tilt the balance. gtfo

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He isn't sharpening the knife. He's using a honing rod to bend the edge of the blade so it's straight again.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Aww man, you got that new android update too? Everything is so round. And now to show my lock screen widgets (player, mesgs, emails, etc) you have to pull down from top. And the top bar you have to pull down on either side to get different trays. Like i just want my settings and shot from one pull, not 2 seperate ones. And my power button is now some bixby bullshit?!

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I fixed the pull down issue in settings but I don't remember how it where, shit was driving me nuts

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Omg! Fixed it! Twas in the notifications settings! Phew! Don't have to go on a homicidal rampage now. You saved me from eternal damnation!
