Is this what Americans call “a balanced meal”?

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If the platter isn't leaning to one side, yes.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Those side dishes need to be at least 3 times as big! Also off to the side of the platter for more room for the meats.

When child exploitation and animal exploitation isn't enough, just add animal suffering, murder and torture to it and act like it's a morally good thing to do. Disgusting. FYI World Health Org classified red and processed meat as a carcinogen level 1. Same as cigarettes. Hope it tastes good!

Oh shut up and have a burger...

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I won't eat dead bodies of animals that had to suffer so you shut the fuck up and stop trying to make me eat something that has no morality in any shape or form. Animals don't have a voice, I will fight for their right as long as I'm breathing and as long as you mouth breathers won't stop killing innocent beings for no fucking reason except taste. Piece of shit.

I could continue this pettiness but I think I'll be the bigger person. I'm gonna go make some bacon sandwiches and I've got a brisket I need to start thinking about smoking. One little thing, I never even read your post. I saw "animals" and "voice" and decided you weren't worth it.

I would love this so much more than chocolates.

I’m all alone but I also envy couples eat all the beef and chocolate to get super energy to fk each others brain out in the evening.

They're gonna have to, they just broke up

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Pulled pork reminds me of going to graduations/cookouts and eating out of an electric roaster. I've smoked dozens of them for family get togethers. If you see all this and you're craving pulled pork...maybe try this before you grab a bun and a wad of pork.

Geez, you're high maintenance.

Yeah, selection and proportions are confusing. You could explain the lack of pulled pork by saying it's a Texas BBQ box, but there's not nearly enough brisket for it to be TX.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

What? No pulled pork?

2 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 3

That's for makin sandwiches. This is a sampler for eatin directly.

Texas is full of sucker MC barbecue. It’s not that they’re bad, it’s just that the entire state decided to set their flavor profile to default.

On the plus side, that does make it easy for just about anyone to make, anywhere in the world with beef, salt, and pepper.

And now to be crucified by people who have never been to Texas, defending food they’ve never eaten.

Ribs & brisket > pulled pork. With limited space in my belly, I'll maximize those. Pulled pork without bbq sauce is generally so so, but ribs and brisket can be amazing with just rub for they are the superior meats. That being said, everyone eat what you love!

But bbq sauce is one of my favorite things about bbq!

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Depends on who is making it and what kind of palate you have.. Some people don't actually like smoked meat and drench everything in sauce, some people love smoked meat and need no sauce, and others are in between. Some BBQ places make pulled pork made to have sauce on it by default, and others make it seasoned properly with nothing on it. Makes a big difference.

Sure. But I was speaking generally, everything has exceptions. Look up bbq rankings, ribs and brisket are generally ranked 1 or 2 interchangeably, pulled pork always 3. I looked that up before first posting. So yes you are correct there are exceptions, but generally and for most people, pulled pork is below ribs and brisket.

Yeah I get ya. I really like pulled pork personally. For me, only brisket is better, and only when it's a really good one. Mediocre brisket sucks IMO, but pulled pork is a lot harder to mess up. I'm probably biased though. Blessed to live near a little spot that makes the best pulled pork I've had anywhere.
