Long time coming… hopefully a few days of work rather than just a quick ER visit.

Remember. You only need to be strong for one day. Just a single day. Today. We'll think about tomorrow when we get there but for now it's just one day. Today. You've already completed the hardest part. Keep us updated, will you?

Few days of work? Sobriety is a daily thing for the rest of your life.

What is alcohol treatment?

If it's alcohol detox then that's pretty rough.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alcohol_withdrawal_syndrome they put you on benzos so you don't die while detoxing. I watched someone go through it and it's an experience that I don't hope to repeat.

Yeah, even benzo WD is a million times easier during the acute phase. I've seen someone go through hell getting off booze.

It was the other way round for me, getting off booze was easy, but benzo withdrawal was way beyond hellish (alth is was taking insanely high dose, wasn't told by doctors 100% of people will get physically addicted to benzos if taking them for more than a few weeks and they kept me on those for years)

Off the alcoholism, can have a drink occasionally (very very rare for me to actually want it these days tho), and I'm not the only one so the people who say an alcoholic can never drink again -
