I mean, that is something, right?

Story time. About 9 years ago, hubby and I adopted our first cat together. Named him Monkey (he climbed up, or jumped on everything). 2 years later we got kitty #2, Coco Bean (all black). Within days they were bffs. Fast forward another 2 years and we had purchased our first home and decided to get a dog. Much to the cats dismay. Monkey does not like change, so he spent most of his time hiding. Very slowly, Coco Bean would come out, but still usually ran away if the dog looked at her. Sadly, last November Monkey passed away (vet felt a mass, so we think cancer). We took some time to mend our broken hearts and back in August we decided to get another cat. When NBC partnered with shelters across the country to 'empty the shelter' we went and found Mrs P. Being new to the household, Mrs P didn't have much of a problem with Rosie (our dog) and would tell her when enough was enough. Which helped Coco Bean to feel more comfortable being around Rosie. The other day I realized they were all in the same room, and no one was hissing at or chasing anyone. Our girls were sitting at the table eating breakfast, the cats were both attempting to drink the milk from their bowls, and Rosie was patiently sitting by the girls, in her usual stance, waiting for an opportunity to get a treat. :/
