I was raised in a fundamentalist christian household.
I was forced to attend early morning Seminary every weekday before my high school classes started. 4 years of studying scriptures from 5:30-6:30am at the church. I was so tired. Teenagers need sleep, not early morning bible school.
I unfortunately know more about the bible than most xtians. If I only knew one thing about the Old and New Testaments it’s that you can find a verse to support nearly anything.
If the maga xtians actually read, understood AND believed these words they would march on Washington and demand the lawless one’s removal from office.
They don’t read the bible to understand.
They use the scriptures to promote their homophobia, racism and misogyny. They pay money to false churches to absolve themselves of sin.
I don’t believe in god or an afterlife. But if it were real, admission would be free for people that loved their fellow humans.
You don’t need to pay a chomo pastor to get to heaven. One can’t hold a bible upside down and become a prophet.
The image text is from 2 Thessalonians chapter 2, verses 7-8, from the New International Version (NIV). Written differently than the King James Version (KJV) I was raised on.
KJV verses 7-12 seem to be applicable to the U.S.’ situationship with The Rapist:
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth alreadywork: only he who now letteth will let, untilhe be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
