It's because they all lived in black and white, duh. The color tv wasn't invented until just a few decades ago.

That's cause back then the World was in black and white. Then Dorothy and her little dog too gave us colour. The End

Pashto still doesn't differentiate green and blue, they're both called "sheen" but that doesn't mean Pashtuns can't actually see blue...

What you think people just go on the internet and lie?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's not true. Read Michel Pastereou's book 'Blue'

"Black then white are all I see in my infancy. red and yellow then came to be, reaching out to me. lets me see."

#2 "Ancient Greek didn't have a word for blue" #3 "Why didn't the Ancient Greeks describe the sea as blue?"

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Obviously at the time he didn't realize it was because they didn't have a word, it was written from his perspective, #2 wasn't

Actually they had blue during ww2, but stopped because the pilots wouldn't eat them. Because there is no blue food, I think.

This is equivalent to saying because there is no word for something, that thing doesn't exist...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It was worded wrong. I suppose it means more, it wasn't visible ie himba tribes can't differentiate blue from green, yet they can see green
