He's not necessarily inconsistent. The best choice could be a bad choice. That said I wouldn't look to WSJ for advice on how to run the Democratic party.

Awww Jason, wha happe?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That doesn't make any sen... oh, he's a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute.

I read that in the same voice as, "Oh, no, he's retarded."

Remember: Pres/VP is the START. VOTE your ENTIRE BALLOT this & every election!

• Register/check/RECHECK registration at vote.gov
• Confirm your state's requirements & voting dates/times -- early voting is often easier than Election Day
• Commit NOW on when you'll go vote (or mail your ballot) & put it in your calendar -- 🤩GET OTHERS TO COMMIT TOO
• Start learning about your ballot at ballotpedia.org -- take your notes with you to vote!
• Use trackvote.org to track/confirm your vote's counted

I highly reccomend people check out authors of stories on Muckrack. It's highly illuminating. https://muckrack.com/jason-riley

The Black Boom by jason riley appears to be an anti-dei, anti-affirmative action, pro-trump book about how black people thrive under right wing white supremacists. lol.

the media these days

Op-eds are just low-effort engagement-bait these days. Ignore them and the hacks, who write them.

Opinion: "Why The Leopards Won't Eat MY Face!" by Jason L. Riley

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Is he doing a point counterpoint type of thing?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Nope. He's just doing the GOP propaganda thing.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The WSJ is fucking Murdoch trash. Why are you surprised?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

WSJ is dead. NYT is dead. CNN is a rotting husk turned into a republican ghoul. Personally I read Salon and Rawstory.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

These can be simultaneously true. Read it like this:
Kamala is the best choice for the Democratic Party (to beat Trump)
But,
She isn’t the change democrats need (because so and so is a better choice/changer idk, you get it)

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Only took two weeks for Jason L. Riley to 180 his opinion. Makes ya wonder.

2 years ago | Likes 81 Dislikes 1

The first article was so people would get rid of Joe. The second article was so people will get rid of Kamala. It's just anti-democrat posturing, anything to get Trump in.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The 1st article was from before he thought she could win.

2 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

The moment Harris became the presumptive nominee, Riley changed his stance.

jason fucked around is just now finding out

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

He's a mouthpiece. No more, no less.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Conservative compass for sale, $6. Points in the direction of criticism of every action taken by a Democrat.

Like a dog chasing a car, then they caught the car. They have no fucking clue what to do now. They didn't expect it. Hell, I didn't expect it. I thought for sure Biden would stay, b/c traditionally the incumbent has the best advantage. But, we've been in these "unprecedented times" for so long, it's time for something unprecedented.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

One thing I agree with the MAGA idiots. Their views on news media. So much for unbiased views

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why does anyone give a flying fuck about some guys opinion? That’s not reporting. That’s just gossiping.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

While I do support people changing their opinion based on facts, I doubt that's what's happening here.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This shit is why I get my news from Imgur.

2 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

People on imgur were deriding Harris as "Harris the cop" when she ran for president earlier, she had to give up pretty early because of low polling figures. Now she the cop/prosecutor who will defeat Trump. Imgur is pretty wishy-washy to.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean, maybe read the actual news, too. Just not the WSJ Opinion Page.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

At least with imgur you don’t clutter up your cookies with weird shit—not until you go looking for trouble. I do read regular news, too. Not the ditto-head stuff, tho.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wikipedia: "The Journal is published six days a week by Dow Jones & Company, a division of News Corp." News Corp is owned by Murdoch. WSJ is literally Fox News for richer people.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

First piece: promoting Kamala to diminish Biden. Second piece: "Oh fuck they actually did it and she's popular, fuck fuck fuck fuck shit."

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We were always at war with Eastasia.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The insane WSJ OpEd page is the sole reason I don't subscribe. Otherwise it's a pretty cool source of information.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Seems like his position is to just oppose the Dems.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

who the fuck is Jason Riley?

2 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 1

A black conservative. Sam Jackson played one in Django Unchained.

Unkle Ruckus.

Written by the same guy - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jason_L._Riley

Jason L. Riley (born July 8, 1971) is an American conservative commentator and author. He is a member of The Wall Street Journal's editorial board. Riley is a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute and has appeared on the Journal Editorial Report, other Fox News programs and C-SPAN. He is Black and writes about his Black experience in America as a conservative.

He’s never heard of a leopard before, and doesn’t understand why its interested in licking his face.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is this the same WSJ Editorial board who ran a big front page story about "An Abortion Story Too Good to Confirm. Biden told a tale of a 10-year old rape victim that no one can identify.", despite within a day of the editorial being published, charges officially being levied against a man who raped the 10-year old?

The same editorial board who refused to withdraw the article, and who only puts a couple of sentences at the top of it, on their website, and posted nothing about it in the WSJ paper

"He writes about his Black experience in America as a conservative" is like saying "He writes about his Jewish experience in America as a Nazi"

Every single Republican policy in my lifetime has been designed to punish and marginalize Black people: voter suppression, gerrymandering, closing poling stations in Black neighborhoods,

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Manhattan Institute is one of those dodgy think tanks funded by super-kooky oil and other rich people money (Koch, Coors, Olin, etc)

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Jason L. Riley also appears to lack basic integrity.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Irony: Riley in 2016 opposed Trump, said he "was not a viable candidate." He's fallen in line like everyone else at the WSJ.

2 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 0

He's a commentator at fox news and a writer for the National Review and the New York Post.

2 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Just the fact that he uses "left-wing" instead of "progressive" tells me everything I need to know about the importance of (checks notes) Jason L. Riley's opinion. No need to read any further.

Chuck it in the fuck-it bucket.

2 years ago | Likes 285 Dislikes 2

What are you implying about the term “left wing”? That left-wing politics isn’t a real thing, or…?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 11

The democratic party isn't left-wing. It's center-right.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Chuck it in the fuck it bucket has to be one of the best expressions I have read today! Thank you for making me chuckle.

2 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Almost wish I could say I stole it, but it's a lyric from a song I never finished writing.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

He's from the American media. They are so far to the extreme right that liberals and communists look exactly the same to him.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Don't just read it, Critique it!
°Opinion (which means it carries no weight, but maybe insight)
Focus 1st on what's being said. Focus more on HOW it's being said "I'm sorry you feel I need to apologize"
You can spot bullshit at 50 yards with your eyes closed.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

You go right on ahead. I don't have enough lifetime left to waste parsing the ramblings of republicans orating from atop Murdoch soapboxes.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The WSJ editorial page is trash to begin with. Just another Rupert Murdoch bullhorn squawking into the right-wing echo chamber.

2 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

It went from the Wall Street Journal to the White Shitty Justifications long ago.
