these miters and fitment to the kind of rough wood base was a lot of work

ebony stain on oak

some quick and dirty glue up. the top isn't sanded to perfection (no one can see it up there)

you may notice that the molding is actually from a door frame that I reused. I don't really care about the nail holes - i just put nails back in them.

The power went out for three days, recently. making coffee :)
