Nah, it's because the scenario takes place in Silithus.

I would nominally agree, but those crystals don't bend like that in Silithus. These seem to have been modified and then placed around Chromie and her Codex.

/shrug They're just decoration. Since the Scarab Lord gong is right next them as well. The anniversary is just meant to be a fun event, no reason to take it too seriously.
