Police, firefighters, EMTs, and (in some states) telecommunications will all benefit from this. Im not even going to think about why this particular bill received bipartisan support after all these years of trying to bring attention to first responder LOD deaths and suicides and hardships. Let’s just count it as a blessing and reach for the next goal! FP Edit: the biggest takeaway from this bill should be that PTSD is going to be labeled as a line of duty injury. That is why suicide with underlying ptsd is going to be covered- bc the original injury was a covered line of duty issue. It will be unfortunate if people think this will encourage suicide. Hopefully the bigger impact will be better resources for ptsd treatment before it gets to that stage.
