Wow. I hear this in our neighborhood on occasion. Once they were perched on top of our house! Crazy cool to see what’s making the noise!

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You entertained my cat for a whole 60 seconds. Upvotes for all!

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Out here in the fields I fight for my meals

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

This reminds me of the kid from Howl's moving castle when he pulls over a beard to look like an old man

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Shouldn't the owl be sleeping?

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Heeeeey it’s jimmy Tallon

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Her name is Luna

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

1/ Hey! This is probably get lose a bit but I have worked with that bird! That is Luna. She is at the Raptor Rehabilitation of Kentucky.

7 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

That's awesome.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Did she lose an eye?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It’s not completely gone but I believe she is blind in that eye.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2/ You should check out them on insta/facebook if you like this stuff. There is even a picture of me on there with another great horned owl

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Couldn't find their IG account, what's it called?

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Is Luna damaged?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

She came to us as a chick with an eye injury. As a chick she also imprinted on humans so she cannot be released.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thats what i thought i saw, but animals are always free to close one of their eyes if they want to, i guess, lol.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So she is one of the residents here at the rehab for educational purposes

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

With this guy, "who" is not a question, but a statement of fact.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

???????

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Did you get all that, Link?

7 years ago | Likes 76 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 211 Dislikes 1

I’ve got some that make sexy time all day. Hoot hoot hoo HOOOO! HOOOOOT! AHHHGGSGHD!! Kind of like it tho.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You say that, until they're keeping you up all night. They're beautiful and keep pests at bay, but FUCK they're loud

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I had one outside my bedroom for a whole summer. It was cool the first few days, but since my window was open, it eventually got old.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So I was the crazy lady yelling at the owl to shut up in the middle of the night. I still hear him when I go visit my parents.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We have 2 that talk at night in the back. The gf hates it, I love them. Wish I could spot them

7 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

How can one hate that? I mean, it's so viscerally wonderful to me that I cannot fathom not loving the sounds of owls.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

She doesn't mind the neighbor dog that fucking barks 24/7, and that boils my blood. So she's weird

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Take a large flashlight out one night and use your ears. We used to go out at night and try to get pictures. Maybe your girl would like em?

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Can't that mess with their eyes?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We used to have a huge spotlight growing up, I'll have to grab one.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I've never actually heard an Owl say who before. That was quite the experience and that is one cool looking owl.

7 years ago | Likes 348 Dislikes 0

Neither have I, but there is a local bird that hoots like an owl. I know little about birds, but it's definitely not an owl.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Great Horned Owl! Beautiful birds.

7 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

The same owl that Kaepora Gaebora was inspired from. In Ocarina Of Time.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Do you live somewhere where they don't have owls? I've always lived in the sticks, so I hear them most every night.

7 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Where I used to live it was mainly owls screeching or making machine gun chicken sounds. Never had any going who who. Who is more pleasant.

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Tawny owls are my favourite. The female goes "KEWICK" and the male replies to her with a "whoo whoo whoo" sound!

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

We have one in the front tree. It's a Boobook owl and every night we hear 'Boo-boooook' over and over again.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

My mom always said the owls in our back yard were saying "who cooks for you, who cooks for you all!"

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Those are barred owls! They're all over where I'm from.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Different owls have different calls. Look up the sound of a screech owl - it's like a dinosaur.

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

And the Elf Owl chuckles.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I mean taxonomically it IS a dinosaur

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hey this is a great gif, closest I've ever been to an Owl.
