I’m awake at 1am and I can’t stop thinking about today.
It was fine and dandy, I got the last of my textbooks, I made friends, got an A just for presenting, did extra credit for class tomorrow, and just felt happy for the first time in awhile on campus. It was a good day until I was called in for an interview- right next to my old grocery store.
I stopped going for a variety of reasons; higher prices, my cashier friends don’t work there, food was poor quality, etc, but the main reason was the guy who sat outside everyday. He would just sit there everytime I went shopping. I used to work in the area at a fast food chain, and would stop by for groceries after work- he was there.
One time he looked me up and down and said I had a nice body, and he wanted to take me for a ride. I felt uncomfortable as he said more stuff about my body. I feel gross remembering it. I feel sad because it brings up worse memories and experiences.
Tonight I figured I’d pick up stuff to make a nicer dinner; but I didn’t expect to see him so late in the evening as other times usually happened between 5-6, while I was there around 8-9. He tried to start a conversation with a greeting but I ignored it. He then got up and followed me through the first set of double doors asking for the time- even though there were others to ask around. I guess I’m just paranoid, but I can’t stand being around him. I hate him. I hate people like him. I can’t sleep, and I can’t imagine going back.
This will be another bottled up experience after this post, as when telling my folks, they give the same response, ‘good for you for not engaging’ or ‘crying over it doesn’t solve anything’. I know theyre right, but I still feel sick and upset.
Sorry for the vent, I just need to get it out. I just need to write it down so I can just log all the shite stuff that seems to happen.

Talk to the manager of the store. I can promise you if what you say is true its happened to others and they dont want him there either.

I’ve had to ask an employee to escort me to my car for similar reasons. I would certainly avoid that place like the plague

Walk to my car alone. The store hardly seems bothered that he's there though which is the worst part to me.

Thats the thing though, I’ve reported him before. The first comments made me go to a manager and they said they would fix it.

Generally speaking, comments like that aren't criminal. Nor is following someone through a public space. They guy can easily deny mal-intent

2 if you ever have something like this happen again go directly to customer service or to an employee and tell them you are being harassed
