#20 That's not nearly as bad as "the ol' chuck and duck". The one pictured here at least has an infeed wheel in front of the chipping drum. The feed control bar is easily seen around the hopper. You can also see the "last chance" emergency stop cables in front of the infeed. Lots of safety features on this one. (Source: I used to work for the company which made this specific chipper, which looks like a Bandit 75XP Disc Chipper)

I’m guessing the carbon dioxide is used as a fire suppressant on things that can’t get wet, and a wintergreen smell is added to the system to warn people if the gas is still present. I’m not sure why this sign is here; it seems legitimate to me.
