I wanted to wait until after the pet show to share this, the last picture of my good girl. She was just two weeks shy of her 15th birthday. I wanted very badly to celebrate one last birthday with her, but she had simply run out of days. She could barely stand on her own, and then not for long, she had lost control of her bowels, she couldn't keep food down. But she had strength enough at the animal hospital to push off her little bed to lean up against me.
We waited for about an hour, just sitting together like that. I rubbed her neck, and she would sigh. The vet was very kind, and the injections were very quick, and after that, my girl and I sat for another hour.
I miss her terribly.

Bawling tears here, friend. I’m sure your girl was happy to be your dog and had a great life. Almost 15 means she got up to 80-85 years old! That’s a great age!
Did you think about cremating her to take her with you again? It helps tremendously to slowly get over the loss. And later on you are still able to bury her ashes (or something similar) if you wish so
Again, my condolences.
