Same. My comment... “We are canceling our subscription because the ABC company owned by Disney is capitulating to the authoritarian whims of Donald Trump. By canceling Jimmy Kimmel you put out 1st Amendment rights at risk, this is no joke! We explained the situation to our kids and they agreed that cartoons are not worth supporting a company that puts our democracy at risk.”

I cancelled and there was no other option. Guess they don’t want to hear it

"Catering to a Dictator and letting Kimmel get cancelled, while Fox News hosts talks about killing homeless without a word being said is not something I will support" was mine.

so like - disney/abc was gonna get FCC'd out of broadcasting cuz of the shit head Brenden Carr that Trump put in - so like i get that its garbage - but if you can't broadcast? i'm not saying that this is ok - i'm justing saying -

Part of me wants to tell you that should be right. But, submitting without ANYTHING on the books makes it very easy for the eventual takeover of all media

Trump didn't force ABC to settle and apologize for the Stephanopoulos defamation suit. Trump didn't force Disney to cancel the Late Show.

Trump broke down the Republican party one person at a time until he was in control. Now, he's doing the same thing with broadcasting. One way or another, the ABC of 2023 wont be broadcasting next year

Those comments probably never get read. But in case they do, I would write "If an actual worker is reading this, unionize! Your bosses doesn't care about you or anyone." Gotta hit them from both sides if you can.

Every time my ISP asks me to take a survey, I give 'em both barrels of "your workers should unionize" and "municipal broadband will destroy you if we can get it off the ground."

I'm sure it'll stick just as long as the "we're abandoning Imgur for September!" did.

Yep. Exactly as long.

eh, there are a tonne of streaming services, disney has limited content, it's pretty easy to just ignore it.

Weird. I read that as "it's pretty easy to pirate it anonymously if you really want it, that way they don't get your $"...
