I feel the suit could've been separable, since it was nanotech, I feel they can be programmed to "If part_of_body = false then separate"

Would he be in so much pain if his nervous system was failing?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't know. He didn't look like he was having a good time.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Without the stones, Thanos couldn't even stop Tony from flying over to Captain Marvel and letting her use it. He died for nothing.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Honestly Thanos was dominating all of them without the stones so no.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I like the Tony Stark was so used to suffering he was stronger concept

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It took me the longest time to figure out that Wong was Prime from the Countdown episode of The IT Crowd.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'd like Wong to speak at mine, I want to make sure everyone who wants to ask him gets a detailed retelling of how badly I fucked up cooking

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Grimmn never learned to fold in the cheese

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

What does that even mean? Do I have to fold each shred in half? This is your recipe!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean Banner didnt exactly make it look like it tickled.

4 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

Half of humanity gone seems like a good thing, there was no need to fix that. And I'd rather have good old Tony back.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So why didn't he let Captain America do it? Or Captain Marvel? Or any one of the other more robust beings?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Seems like reading a lot into it that might not have been there, but sure, I guess?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If his nerves failed, he wouldn’t feel the pain anymore

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If he was paralyzed, I don't think the pain was no longer the issue for him.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Here's a science take: https://youtu.be/tsAHSw81aJg

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Kyle Hill is SO entertaining!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Surely the suit was capable of delivering pain meds, and already had, so there is that?

4 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Pain medication don't work with extreme radiation damage. When you get cooked...you die slow and in agony. Radiation is terrifying

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

That's more long term, after your blood vessels have melted.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The HEV suit will pump gallons of morphine into you after you take rad damage. Seems to work.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Technically some pain meds WILL work to help with that sort of damage but not like IbuProfen.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There's this one incident in japan where a vat of waste went prompt critical. The tech nearby who got the biggest dose ½

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Was begging his caretakers to let him die until they intubated him. He survived for a month I believe. Do not look up pics, you're warned.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Tony's armour is nanotech at that point, so getting his body out of the suit at least shouldn't have been an issue

4 years ago | Likes 108 Dislikes 7

That quantity of radiation could have fused the nanides together, preventing it from being taken off.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

I love how people are applying comic-book-pseudoscience to this story, as if *any* of this exists or is even close to accurate science.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not applying pseudoscience, just trying to find some resemblance of logic on how things worked the way the worked.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

the power of the stones would have cooked the suit as much as Tony's insides, much like it did to the gauntlet Thanos used twice

4 years ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 1

The gauntlet looked pretty functional after The Hulk used it, and the nanotech must’ve worked to get the stones to release.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

You ever see what lightning does to sand? That.

4 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

Also "Go run a really powerful current through a group of fine-controlled tiny machines and see how long they stay operational"

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's also fiction so you can make up whatever pseudo science you want

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The line "They poured him outta his boots" from "Glory, glory" comes to mind.....

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think he was dead or at least couldn't feel himself dying after using the gauntlet.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Thanks Wong that was neat, I can't wait for next week

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I want Wong to speak at my funeral

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So you're saying Stark was Christ and died so everyone else could live again?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Should Wong just be bringing facts? Disturbing, fun, weird, common sense? It's Wong, he does it all.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I particularly enjoyed the this-ain't-your-daddy's-Captain-America kick from 'The Winter Soldier'. Cap severed a dude's spinal column.

4 years ago | Likes 295 Dislikes 3

Didn't get that far... Couldn't finish this movie, it was hot trash.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 35

I think you're kind of an idiot for thinking any movie is "hot trash" while only (supposedly) having watched 5 minutes of it.

4 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

How many cheese dick lines and horrible fight scenes do I need to get through before you allow me to pass judgment?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 6

There were none that far into the film, but nice try? What film did you even watch? lol

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You're clearly a Marvel fanboy, so you do you...

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Put metal gear solid 2 on his list

4 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 4

Shang-Chi pretty much murders like 20 goons in the first 30min of the movie. Throws them off a high-rise.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

He throws a guy who may be acting under the influence of mind control off the Helicarrier in Avengers

4 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

Doubtful. Barton said ‘Shield has no shortage of enemies’. So they were probably mercenaries from some competing faction.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Corridor Digital Did a pretty good modification of marvel footage. https://youtu.be/k5-3eujJyZE

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

He straight up shot dudes in the first one. Sure you don't see it but they didn't look like warning shots.

4 years ago | Likes 120 Dislikes 0

Wasn't that only for the Captain America propaganda films and then they copied that one time for the gate-storming scene in a HYDRA base?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You know I think it's just that one scene going through the gate. We never see him holding a gun otherwise.

4 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

There was the one part of the fighting montages where he tosses a whole bundle of grenades in a tank, too.

4 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

This is explained in the comics with the explanation that Capt America used guns while in WW2 because it was a war, after he thawed out and

4 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

joined the modern world, he wasn't in a (declared) war, so hung up his guns and went to just fist/feet/shield.

4 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

If the infinity gauntlet can do literally anything, couldn't you have 'survive the effects of using the infinity gauntlet' with your wish?

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It can't do anything - you can't bring back the soul used to acquire the soul gem. It seems that the consistent theme is that you can't use

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The infinity stones for free - the cost must be paid.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah if you have enough time for one act of omnipotence before you die, not dying from the thing giving you omnipotence is a good start

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah, that'd be my first use. "Make me able to survive unharmed no matter how many times I use the Infinity Gauntlet."

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Tony and Steve both proved the other wrong. Tony was willing to make the sacrifice play, and Steve would have been worthy without the serum.

4 years ago | Likes 222 Dislikes 2

They also both started their arc as being the Hero of the US Government and the Libertarian Rogue, respectively, and swapped to-

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

-government distrusting and "we need to be put under government control" right around Civil War.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Tony proved it in Avengers when he took the bomb up through the portal, he didn't know he'd come back.

4 years ago | Likes 110 Dislikes 1

Not even that he didn't know; he didn't expect to make it back at all. He held the nuke until he was literally incapable and luckily fell in

4 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

In Iron Man, he tells Pepper to overload the reactor anyway. Twice he's ready to die to save others. Wouldn't do the sacrifice play my ass.

4 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 1

To be fair, no sane person would have picked Tony over Steve as more trustworthy/willing to lay down their lives up until 'The Avengers'.

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

How did Steve prove he was worthy without the serum?

4 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

He proved it, and that was why he got the serum.

4 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Remember the dude with scalded off face from the 1st Cap movie? Thats what happens when you arent worthy (among other things)

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 3

Most hilarious description of a comic book character (Red Skull, by the way) I've seen in a while. More posts like this, please.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Thor's Hammer, I guess? The serum wouldn't change whether or not it considered him worthy enough to wield it, so the fact that he can proves

4 years ago | Likes 72 Dislikes 1

That scene would've worked better if Thanos used the time stone to make Steve skinny again and it was skinny Steve who picked up the hammer

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I dunno, you have to be able to fight, he can't without the serum.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

The Hammer MAKES you powerful. Why would Steve being physically weaker change it's judgement of his spirit? We see in TFA that Steve was

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

already willing to put up a fight, even while weak, for what was just. THAT'S what the Hammer looks at, not muscles.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

But he never gave up even when losing a fight. That was before the serum. He sacrificed himself in boot camp, too. That's worthiness. 1/2

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Don't forget, "he who works this hammer, should he be worthy, shall wield the power of Thor." It would've imbued him with power. 2/2

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Tony was wrong when he said everything special about Cap "came from a bottle".

4 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 1

Well Tony was also wrong because what made Cap special was that he was "not a perfect soldier but a good man."

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Keep in mind that Cap tried lifting it once and it only budged. He wasnt worthy when he and Tony said those things, he grew to become worthy

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

And I'm not convinced he would've if not for the serum. It was the experiences he had as cap that forged him into the worthy hero.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

He was worthy then too. He just didn't do it because he didn't wanna wreck thors ego. There is no just "budging" the hammer.

4 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 2

Budging the hammer means he can move it. There’s no “maybe worthy”. Yes or no. Moving it means yes. It was confirmed he chose not to.

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

I still prefer Skeletor to be my disturbing fact provider, but Wong is okay. If I subscribe to Wong facts, will Skeletor find out?

4 years ago | Likes 999 Dislikes 1

Yes, but the end-of-cartoon format is for morality lessons, not facts. The meme went down the Luke I Am Your Father derail.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Yes. He won't be mad, just disappointed.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Until we meet again!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

More people spreading disturbing facts is exactly what Skeletor wants! If Skeletor knows or finds out...no biggie.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That sounds like a trap...

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I thought skeletor delivers only weird fun facts you didn't wanna know, ever. But here be skeletor to tell you anyway. Yahyahayyahyah

4 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 0

Skeletor delivers many kinds of facts.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

How can it be Wong if it feels so right?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think so but I might be wong.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Skeletor and Wong probably go out for tea and to debate. And use the disturbing truths to drop on people as poker chips.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Not the weirdest slightly-green barely-human thing Wong consorts with... (cough Watch Shang Chi cough)

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Either way, this is probably the Wong way to find out about this.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well I mean, Skeletor can be wrong, but Wong cannot be skreletor, so...

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I agree with you, but I love the fact (ha!) that "Wong Facts" sounds like an oxymoron.

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

OMG. Best response I have seen in months.

4 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

I really wanted to know if he went to the wedding now.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I could be wrong but I was under the impression Wong was also blipped so he'd have been dead at the time Tony and Pepper were wed.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wong didn't get blipped. That's why he became the Sorcerer Supreme when Strange got blipped.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

His poster was full color, not grey like the dusted characters; he might have gone.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wow. You pulled all that straight out of your ass. Congrats on having an ass full

4 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 21

It put off so much radiation that it severely injured Hulk AND Thanos. But yeah, normal human guy Tony was unharmed by that, sure.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Well, not the radiation part. Remember Hulk was planned 2 use it because it gave off massive gamma radiation. "Its like I was made for this"

4 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

radiation heats things up, other than being a realistic expectation, what is he pulling out of his has?

4 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

I read somewhere how he was able to withstand it for as long as he did b/c unlike Thanos or Hulk (practically naturally invulnerable) his >

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Life was filled w/ emotional & physical pain in a way Hulk/Thanos could never experience

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

In what way was Bruce Banner's life not filled with emotional pain though?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I suppose Thanos & Bruce both did have emotional pain. One went Psycho the other went full Angel.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

(1)The og source they are referring to doesnt mention emotional pain. It's purely physical. Thanos and hulk are nigh invulnerable so for

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

(2) them to feel pain is a big deal. Tonys story is nothing but physical pain, and has been since day 1 for him. Him feeling a pain that

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

(3) would bring a god to there knees is just another tuesday to him. If he had survived it would have just been another hurtle to get over.
